I recently purchased a 60-year-old home with a large, heavily wooded lot in need of extensive TLC. JBS Tree Care has been my arborist for at least 10 years. I trust Jesse and his son Pablo and their crew to solve all my tree design and liability issues. Today they came to remove a melaleuca tree limb which fell on my roof in the recent high winds. In addition, they sculpted all three of my melaleuca trees and a jacaranda which were a privacy shield between my house and a neighbor. I wanted to make sure neither house would be in danger of another falling limb. JBS Tree Care was poetry in motion. Because they are so skilled at their work, it was fun to watch how they engineered removing the weight from the trees and then efficiently downsized each tree, but leaving it so it looked like a smaller version of its former self. They have the equipment to do what needs to be done without risking their health or your property. After they left, I was admiring everything and then I noticed my handmade ceramic birdhouse my daughter had given me several years ago. We had needed to have our huge pecan tree trimmed for years because it was constantly dropping dead branches. A big problem was that the tree was situated next to a utility pole with a LOT of wires and cables branching off in all directions. I finally decided to have the job done and I found JBS on Yelp. Jesse responded to my call, came to my house and a gave a free estimate with a very reasonable price. A couple of days later Jesse and his crew were back promptly at the scheduled time. I was greatly impressed by the efficiency and teamwork of the crew, who were obviously well trained and experienced. They expertly handled the branches reaching 65ft high and brought them down without damaging wires, cables or property. They also efficiently disposed of the branches and debris with a powerful wood chipper. They left both my yard and my neighbors' yard neat and tidy after all the trimming was done. Worth every penny we paid. We had a 40 foot mulberry tree that split and was leaning on our carport roof. With Hurrican Hilary due in two days, Pablo got back to me immediately, and within a day the eight man crew showed up and took down the tree. After careful screening of qualified contractors, I decided to award a small task to JBS. Pablo over the phone in conversation explained with these current rain systems lined up out in the pacific, it was starting to back up his routine services but would accommodate a drive by and get a visual and leave a quote. That's a good sign for a business to not turn away a potential new customer, A+ Doing my due diligence, I felt comfortable allowing Pablo along with his crew of 7 employee's to enter our property and begin the intricate task of climbing up the side of each palm tree armed with gas powered chain saws and safety belts with tree climbing spurs, these guys went to town. It's what they do best on a daily basis. Hire a professional outfit and you're going to get top notch service along with expertise arborist awareness. The crew broke off in sections and worked in a methodical approach doing front, back and side to ensure production is smooth. To give you a idea how big these palms can be once on the ground, they measure anywhere from 8' to 12' in length and multiply that by 10 Queen palms, you've got a mess plus the shaving of each trunk. Traffic delineators were place along a work truck with a enclosed cargo box attached to a mulcher on wheels (gas powered). Anyone on foot or approaching in a vehicle was fully aware of ongoing activity. FYI - I've done this annual cleaning in the past and it's a lot work. Doing everything from the ground with a telescoping pole connected to a hacksaw coarse blade, it burns your arms. Plus the mess you're left with can reach up to 3 months as you release so much each week. I forgot to mention the mess each queen produces when it begins to harvest palm fruit. They multiply really fast, green in color, oblong, rock hard. I'm grateful to find reputable service and JBS demonstrated all of this on first visit. AWESOME company! We met Pablo and he provided us a reasonable quote to cut 15 eucultypus and excavate 3 palm trees. He quickly provided us with the company's insurance and license and was responsive to any questions we had.Prior to reaching out to JBS, we had a couple companies who wasn't able to provide this information. We were scheduled for a Saturday and they let us know Friday that they finished a job early and wanted to get a head start. They came at 3:30pm and within an hour the crew of 6 were able to excavate 3 palms trees and 1 eucalyptus tree. We have these trees cut before but never seen a crew so efficient. Jesse was the foreman on-site and the crew knew exactly what to do and in which order. The next day they came and finished the job in a few hours. They also kept any fallen tree leaves clear from the neighbors house. One branch did fall into our neighbor's yard and the crew picked it up effortlessly. Jesse and his crew have taken care of our trees for several years. We were planning to have them thin the crown of our large pine in December. In early July, a huge limb broke and fell toward the street. Thankfully, there was no property damage and no one was hurt. I called Jesse the next morning. He and his crew were able to come the same afternoon and remove and haul away the huge branches. We were so impressed with the skill of Pablo and the rest of the crew. Can I give 6 stars??? We got a quote a few weeks ago not sure when we would be able to do the work. Late this week, we had a few days off & Yelp! Messaged them on Thurs night. They responded first thing Fri am & we set a time for THAT afternoon. We were told they would start Fri and complete Saturday since they were adding us last minute (not a problem in our book). We were stuck in traffic so we messaged them and said we would be there in 15, start the front if you would like. By the time we got home 10 min later the front was completely done. They started on the back and even with us adding another huge tree, that was not part of the original quote, they were done with everything (front, back and cleanup) withen 2.5 hours. A team of, I think, 9 guys hustled, made sure any garden figurines they came across was moved to a safe spot, the neighbors yard was cleaned from any mess they made, etc. VERY HAPPY! read more
