Not a true Philly cheesesteak - don't waste your time. First they got Dallas sports stars plastered over the wall so you know there's no Philly origin. Now the food: 1. Roll: "Run of the mill" grocery store roll. No Amoroso, no in house seeded roll. 2. Cheese: I requested American and got yellow American. What are we doing? 3. Onions: Non-existent. 4. I'm pretty sure it was the bread it tasted like it was flown in from Philly. When you walk in and throughout your meal, the two men working will culturally treat you like family. A rarity to find where they anticipated needs and met those needs before we even realized it would make our visit easier. Especially kid friendly just because of the service! The food! WOW! This restaurant was horrible. I ordered from here on GrubHub where it is called Whiz Wit Cheesesteaks. I paid extra for extra cheese wiz on my cheesesteak and got hardly any. I paid extra to have my sandwich on garlic bread, and it was on regular bread. They completely got my order wrong. On top of that, there was something very wrong with the food as I got horrible food poisoning that evening. My stomach hurt so bad that I almost went to the emergency room. You've got a spacious business just north of Dallas run by a young couple and their one employee. This is small business in a nutshell, and for Muslims, they've got a dedicated passion for serving Zabihah halal you won't find just anywhere. The owner is a kind man, serving cheesesteaks out of passion and efficiency. He knows his business well and is happy to answer questions, take feedback and do what it takes to make his restaurant better. He's had a couple local food bloggers through the door so he's hoping to see some more traffic soon! The food here is simple, southern cheesesteaks. It's not the fast and greasy, slathered guilty pleasure of Philadelphia, but it gets the job done. I enjoyed the food and it was a good value, especially those home fries, but it all definitely needed more seasoning while on the grill. The chicken in particular really needs a good, tangy sauce to bring it alive and to let it dance in your mouth. With all that being said, I'm happy I came here and I look forward to how much they grow and change over time.
