Double meat bacon cheeseburger plain and crispy tater tots. I already eat half the tater tots

I do not know why it's been so long since I've visited Chips Old Fashion Hamburgers. It was outstanding my burger was cooked perfectly and it was juicy, juicy enough that I had to use napkins. The tater tots were cooked to perfection, nice and crispy. The staff was very friendly and the place very clean. The bartender., Sydney and the GM Derrick were very helpful. They explained the menu and pointed their best burger. They have lots burgers to choose from and they offer salads, sandwiches, and steak fingers. Let's just say, lots of options to choose from. If you are like me and haven't been in a while and I'm recommended you give it another try because you will not be disappointed .

Good food, strong drinks, and even better people. The kind of place that makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. And don't skip dessert...it tastes homemade in the best way possible, like somebody's grandma has been perfecting those recipes for years

Hidden burger spot! The parking is small but definitely worth it. Everything is made to order and has generous portions. I got the regular 1/3lb burger ($7.99) in medium rare. It was huge and very flavorful. You can customize and add cheese and other toppings for about a $1. Everyone else in my table was happy with their orders and the inside had a very family friendly vibe/seating.

Went here with my kids for late lunch. Good food, good service, more parking spots would be better.

Food is very good! I had had the French dip and the Philly cheese steak. Both delicious 5/5. The Oreo milkshake was very good. Food comes out fast. The service is very friendly. The ambiance is a decent size , 4 top tables. They have a bakery and a bar connected, also a patio. The prices are ehh. Seems like they keep going up. The prices on the website don't match the restaurant. Except to pay $2 more than the website. I'd return! Love the food!

Chips Old Fashioned Hamburgers serves up a a pretty good 1/2 pound burger. I went with a poppy seed bun, cheddar cheese, and caramelized onions (instead of raw), plus a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked exactly how I ordered--medium well--with a nice juicy bite. The poppy seed bun had a fresh taste and was super fluffy on top. Veggies tasted fresh too, but I wish there were more of them. The lettuce was pretty minimal and I barely caught a pickle in there, so maybe thicker cut pickles or just more of them would take it up a notch. The only thing keeping this from a perfect score was the bun situation--the top was great, but the bottom came out soggy, and no one likes a soggy bun. Sweet potato fries were on point--crispy outside with a soft inside. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The space has a cool, old-fashioned vibe, and there's even a bar connected to the restaurant. Not sure if it's officially part of it, but it's pretty cool that they're connected. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4.5 if I could!

Never judge a book by its cover!! Everything we had was good here ! Burgers are good and you could customize it to however you like and add anything you want!! The fries and onion, strings or big portion well worth it!! Food came out pretty fast. Everything was good flavor. I will be coming back to the spot again.

    mac and cheese

We came in with a large group so we tried a little of everything! Service was quick and the food was decent. The good: burgers, fish and chips, chili dog, salads, taters tots, fried pickles, shoestring onions, fries... The bad: The mac and cheese should be taken off the menu. It was bland and tasteless. The so called cheese wasn't mixed throughout the pasta and the pasta just clumped together. It was not cheesy or creamy and just way overpriced. Overall, lots of menu options, just skip the mac and cheese!

decided to give chips, old-fashioned hamburgers, a try. I went ahead and ordered me the bison burger with some loaded cheese fries. I'll go ahead and get to the point. I noticed that on the menu and the burger say that they are cooked medium but unfortunately, my burger was cooked. Well done the meat just did not have a lot of flavor. On the other hand, the loaded cheese fries were actually pretty good. It was during lunch so I sat at the bar. The place was pretty empty by the way.. I'm sure it gets busy at times. At least I can say I tried it, but it was not one of my best places for burger.

This review is for 12/7/2023. I passed this place coming from another appointment and said I'd try it out. I ordered 1/3 burger with cheddar cheese and bacon, an Oreos shake, and chili cheese fries. I'll start by saying the burger was juicy and pretty flavorful. The milkshake was indeed tasty and creamy and hit the spot after the meal. This place gets a 4 out of 5 for me only because the chili cheese fries weren't what I expected. Do not get me wrong, for the small portion, they gave me a ton to eat and they were indeed good. The only disappointment was that they used shredded cheeses and melted it on top of the chili and fries vs having a nice cheese sauce to complement the chili. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, so I'll certainly try other things the next time I return.

First timer. Wife and I have passed this place many times and said we need to visit. Always cars and a crowd. Probably a hit with the locals but we traveled from Arlington. They have a larger menus than I was expecting so we stuck with a burger. Delicious! We ordered a full order of friend onions strings and they were awesome. We split an order and still had some leftover. Will be back soon! Parking a bit tight but you can park next door just north and the dinner.

Chips is just not what it used to be as far as the quality of food. I used to LOVE their chicken salads. It took me years to even try their burgers because the salads where always so tasty. Here lately not so much. The fries were slightly undercooked and my son said the veggie burger was 'ok'. I will say the service was great! The manager on duty, MOSES.....hmmmm let's just say I might be going back just to see him. He was so nice and accommodating, not to mention tall, dark AND handsome with a beautiful smile. I ended up taking a few bites of my salad and I was full. Hopefully I can finish the rest today because I literally barely touched it. I spoke to my sister and mentioned that I had dinner here and her thoughts were the same about the food. Great people but the food just isn't what it used to be. If you know you know......

Paradiso has a unique feel because it has as much well-designed space outside as it does inside. The patio area feels more like a garden than patio. Even in the crazy Dallas heat you'll find people eating or cocktailing al fresco. The bar area is beautiful. It's covered in flowers and fun European style furniture. The bartenders were knowledgeable and fun to hang with because they clearly enjoy talking about their craft. Nothing worse than a bartender that is too important to chat it up with their customers. I had a delicious signature recipe called Dreaming of Suze (pic 2). It immediately caught my eye because Suze is a staple in our bar. It's a yellow French bitter liqueur you don't regularly find out at restaurants. I've never seen anyone infuse it. They complemented Mezcal with strawberry-infused Suze, sage syrup, lime and strawberry puree served in a tall glass over ice. It was a nice summer recipe and one I will definitely try to recreate at home. My second was a classic old fashioned made with Basil Hayden bourbon (pic 4) It was delicious and well-balanced. If you're in Dallas and want a change of pace from the usual, go down to Bishop Arts and take in the eclectic flavor while enjoying all the shops, restaurants and some cocktails at Paradiso.
