We have been telling Patrick since May that the pool is turning green. We got excuses that he just got a big account in Orange County and has been busy. Oh he will be by tomorrow... Never showed. FINALLY our pool is a murky bog and Patrick shows cleans the filter and leaves. This does nothing so he has to drain it. Which he did and then never came back. That was a week ago. We have tried to multiple times to get ahold of him. Pool is now stained and needs acid washed. I am very disappointed with this service. And will not be requiring his services any further. I would love to tell him that but considering he cant return a message I guess I'll stop holding my breath about him showing up.

In any event I had what was thought to be a simple leak as the critter(s) chewed up a bit of my plumbing. Upon initial inspection Clark gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. When he came out to fix my spa the problem was worse than expected. Not only did the critters cause more damage than initially thought it was a nasty mess underneath the spa. Clark went above and beyond to try to fix the problems but in the end I paid $500 to still have a spa that does not work! Although Clark is a very nice guy I worked with him in good faith and he promised to have the spa lifted, the leaks found, the spa lowered and then tested until each leak was fixed. This did not happen as he did not have adequate staff to perform this level of labor. In addition, there was a nasty mess left in my back yard, screws to my paneling all over the ground, cans from refreshments I provided left on my lawn and the paneling to my spa was left undone. As the job grew in scope the level of Clark and his staffs efforts left a lot to be desired! I guess, if the job is not a difficult one he is your guy but towards the end there were many missed appointments, a mess was left, the job was not finished and I still do not have an operational spa :( VERY DISSATISIFIED and I paid a lot of money for the pleasure! I guess in short, if the job is too big or if he did not have experience solving the level of work required he should have not taken the job!

Eddie was able to take a look at things and understand how to install everything. The parts weren't drop in replacements and were completely different. He re-plumbed everything. A day later, I noticed a small problem with the plumbing and discussed it with Eddie. He came back out and fixed it promptly (a glue issue with the plumbing). Everything is working great now with no problems. I highly recommend Eddie as he is easy to work with and he knows what he is doing.

At first meeting he was personable and presented himself as someone who knows what they are doing. I hired him for the initial start up on my newly plastered and tiled pool with the hopes of a monthly maintenance as well. He started first week of April he was a lot cheaper than his competitors and that should have been the fist red flag. He said he was just starting out and that's why his prices were much lower. I figured why not give him a try and some business. He promises peace of mind! That's a joke. When doing a start up the pool needs start up chemicals and 5 consecutive days of brushing and vacuuming. He only came for 3 days and didn't vacuum everyday. The 3rd day here my grandmother said she heard him calling someone asking what he's supposed to do because the chemicals weren't where they are supposed to be .I hoped she had heard it wrong. That same day he sent me a message telling me everything was perfect!? After the first few days I mentioned there was a lot of plaster dust at the bottom of the pool . He said he would come the next day to vacuum and bush again. A few moments later he tells me "better yet I'll come on Sunday to clean the filter brush and vacuum" I thought it was unprofessional of him to tell me one thing then renege on his word. But , I let it slid . Sunday came around and as he was cleaning the pool I went outside to speak with him. I asked him how it was going . He said everything was fine. I mentioned to him that I didn't think the filter was running properly and he said it was fine. So I took his work for it. After all he is the "professional" right. Prior to this I also asked if he could make sure the lines weren't clogged because I noticed the water was only flowing from one side of the pool with the filter running. He said he would check it out for me and he never got back to me . Oh did I mention it took him 3 days to figure out how to set the timer on my pool filter? This week was the last straw. He came on Monday afternoon and when I got home from work only 3 hours after the pool service it looked like nothing had been done. I don't understand it. So, I sent him a text message asking why it's still has dust at the bottom. I asked what the plan was to resolve the issue and he blew up on me . He said hat my issue is not a big deal and it's my responsibility to care for the pool the other 6 days . He told me that if there is a problem with the filter that I need to take it up with whoever installed it. We have had the same pool equipment for 8 years. I wasn't blaming him for anything. I was simply asking if he thought something was wrong with the functioning of the filter and pump. I think I have every right to ask him what's going on with the pool. It's been 4 weeks . I never had this issue with my previous pool guy. The pictures include what my pool continues to look after 4 weeks. He also broke my pressure gauge that was fairly new and replaced it with someone's old one. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this pool service to anyone . Mr Torres is unprofessional, rude and arrogant.

I have a rental house in Hacienda Heights with a pool. My mother originally hired Jim Montoya to…read moreservice the pool when she lived in the house. I kept him on when it became a rental. For the first few years Jim did a quality job at servicing the pool, no issues. Then he apparently moved farther from the HH area and the troubles began. When the tenants would complain about the pool not being clean or looking green from algae he would blame the tenants and claim they kept turning off the filter. There was always a fight going on between my Property Manager and Jim Montoya. After new tenants moved in Jim told me that the pool filter needed to be replaced because it was leaking and not big enough to keep the pool clean and pool sweep running correctly. This had not been an issue before? I found out that he had taken the pool sweep out of the pool and left it sitting there on the deck for months. I asked him to go ahead and replace the pool filter with a larger capacity one. He did and the algae problem continued and got even worse. There was no use in paying for pool service and having to listen to the tenants complain about the pool, not to mention damage to the pool. So, I told Jim Montoya that we needed to part ways and that I would be hiring someone else to start the first of August. He again blamed all the problems on the tenants and said my Property Manager did not like him but said he understood. He agreed to finish servicing the pool through the end of July, but didn't. In the middle of all the heat he did nothing to battle the algae problem and just let it go. The PM hired a new pool guy after buying $30 worth of chemicals and adding it to the pool herself. The new pool guy checked the new filter system that Jim Montoya had installed and found the piping had been hooked up backwards. The water "in" had been hooked to the water "out" and vice versa. That's why the pool would not clear up. It was nobody's fault but his own and he couldn't figure it out so he blamed the people using the pool "too much" and the Property Manager "for not liking him". I will have to pay the new pool guy to fix Jim's mess, an extra $30 for chemicals, and $150 to clean the filter two months after replacing the whole unit. Jim Montoya may have been good at one time but not anymore. He has never done the right thing and offered to pay for his mistake.
