Baseball day at JC Sports camp
    Nicole J.

My son has attended the 4 day sports camp and we have nothing but positive things to say. Each day the kiddos were introduced to a new sport in the morning, and then afterward they made healthy snacks. After snack time, the kids were able to use their morning skills in actual applications of the sports. My son loves the coaches. I appreciate as a parent they are diligent in making sure each child is picked up by an approved adult on their registration form. They also learned the kids names day one, which makes them feel special. I can't wait to do more things with this organization.

My daughter was attending pre-school before we moved so it was not a new thing for her entirely but she was still very shy with all the new faces and places when she began attending Kiddie Academy. The Kiddie academy staff was very patient with my daughter when she had her tough moments, and her teachers always took the time to make sure she felt comfortable and loved. My daughter's primary teacher was Miss Coy. She is an excellent teacher! She is very kind, patient and energetic. She also had class pets and allowed my daughter to do show & tell with her pet tortoise to share with all her classmates. My daughter raved about her favorite teachers Miss Coy, Miss Courtney, and Miss Meagan on a regular basis and was always happy to see them upon returning to school. Kiddie Academy offers a way for parents to watch video of their kids during class which was really awesome because it helped me feel better to know what she was doing throughout the day and how she was feeling. This facility also does events throughout the year not just for the students but also for the community which was a great way for me to meet other parents for play dates. I would like to thank all Kiddie Academy staff for their outstanding care and safety measures provided to my daughter. Her heart and mind have significantly grown while attending this facility.

My daughter previously attended this daycare in 2024, and at that time, we had a fairly good…read moreexperience. Because of that, we felt comfortable enrolling her in their summer camp program. even though it was under different management. Unfortunately, our experience with the summer program was completely different and very disappointing. One of our first concerns was camera access. We were initially advised that we would have access to the cameras, only to later find out that the summer program does not offer camera access. As a parent, I found this strange and concerning, especially since camera access was something we expected when enrolling her. There was also an incident involving another child putting my daughter's shoe in the trash can and then in the toilet. My daughter informed us of what happened the next morning. Although her teacher was aware of the situation, no incident report was written, and when we brought it to the manager's attention, she had no knowledge of the incident. The communication between staff and administration isn't the best In my opinion. The manager did inform me that she later addressed the issue with the student, which I appreciate. However, as a parent, I strongly believe an incident like this should have been documented and communicated to us when it happened. We should not have had to learn about it from our daughter. Another major concern was the lack of structure and learning. Whenever I asked my daughter what they did during the day, she would usually say they played or colored. When picking her up, it often appeared that the children were simply running around and playing without much structure or organized learning activities. Overall, this summer camp experience did not meet the expectations we had based on our previous experience with the daycare. My biggest concerns were the lack of communication, lack of documentation regarding incidents, no camera access despite what we were initially told, and the lack of structured or educational activities. Unfortunately, based on our experience with the summer program, I would not recommend it to other parents looking for a structured and well-communicated summer camp environment.

When you work, you can only hope to find someone or someplace suitable in which your sweet child will be safe, advance and learn all about their surrounding world, and truly be loved and cared for by others. After maternity leave, we started off with a nanny that we dearly loved. Due to some changes in her life, she moved on, and we decided to entertain the idea of our almost 2 year old going to daycare. Thank goodness for my strong, supportive, and encouraging husband, because this Mommy was resistant to sending our dear, sweet child to a daycare. Not that there is anything wrong with daycare, it's just all about finding one that will ease your Mommy (and Daddy) worries to allow you to make it through your work day without anxiety and fear of whether you've made the right choice. Look no further! Well, okay. Do your due diligence as a parent by scoping out other daycares, but then turn around and go back to CLA. CLA has been phenomenal with our 2 year old. The facility is always creatively decorated, clean, and safe. The wonderful people up front do a great job of monitoring and controlling entry. They know my daughter by name even though they aren't her teachers. They are always very friendly and personable. As for her teachers, they are amazing and very caring towards all the kids in her class. I often pop in and watch the camera monitors up front to spot check on her, and everything I see matches the daily activity sheet they provide to us at the end of the day. I have also seen my daughter running and hugging her teacher, and her teacher returning the hug. She was not aware that I was spot checking on the cameras up front. My daughter LOVES going to CLA. She comes home and talks about her teachers, by name, and tells us they are so nice, or they did her hair today, or they danced today, painted, sang a song...whatever it is they may have done or taught her. She also talks about her friends in the class and I love that she is learning and building on social interactions with other kids. We came to CLA at a time in which a new director was coming in. Her name is Joy. She is a delightful lady and is always approachable. I know that if I ever have a worry or an issue I can go to Joy and she will address it. These wonderful people...it's their job to ensure my dear little is safe and is learning, but they really seem to take their job personally, and it shows in everything they do. To Miss Bing, Crystal, Ashley, Frankie, Stephanie, Joy and all of the staff at CLA: Thank you for loving and caring for our daughter while we work. We would love nothing more than to always have our daughter with us, but you certainly come as close to loving parents in our absence as you can. My recommendation to anyone reading this...go meet Joy and her staff, take a tour, and see what they have to offer. I'm super pleased with this daycare and I hope you'll give them the opportunity to show you how great they truly are. All the best to you in your search for childcare!

Hello, The first…read moredate of my class was September 28, 2011. I have a saved email from that day. Again, it was a morning class. We were charged $180 to pay upfront for 4 classes, or $50 per class. Yes, the review was posted much after the class ended because I thought it was fair to share my bad experience with others. I was sent an email with information about additional classes, and thought it was only right to make your other customers aware of the falsely advertised class I attended. After the class, I also spoke with the 1/2 owner of the business that is a man. I am aware that you are the other 1/2 owner and I have met you as well. Again, I was told that the money would not be refunded and that the instructor was already paid. He was the one who offered the "free" cooking class for us to make up for the bad experience. I did inform him that I was not interested and requested a refund instead, which was denied. I can assure you that there was no confusion regarding this problem at the time as he was fully aware of this entire situation. If you are now able to give the refund I requested, I will remove my review. I am including additional details to assist you in finding my registration and payment information. You set up a private class that began on September 28, 2011 which met in the morning. I think at 11 am, pretty sure on Monday or Tuesday. I would hope these details will make your time easier to find my enrollment information since we were told you had "never" done a daytime cake decorating class before, and we needed to find at least 4 people to attend. The fact that the class met on Monday morning was instrumental in the instructor leaving early to pick up her sick child since she was in school. This instructor told us that she owned a cake making business in the Atascocita area and her apron/chef's coat did have her business name embroidered on it. She had pretty short hair. I do hope that helps you in researching the instructor that was assigned to us. The recipe we received for the cake filling included pineapples. One of the four of us mentioned that she was not a fan of pineapple, and asked if there were any other recipes she could follow for the filling. We were told she could research it on the internet, and the instructor bragged that she had an 'amazing' recipe for a raspberry filling. However, when we asked for it, she told us she "just couldn't give the copy to us since it was one of her most popular sellers. We were not provided with an additional recipe, so we made 4 cakes with pineapple filling. I do agree that purchasing the supplies for the class was to be expected. The instructions about the materials needed was unclear. Most, if not all, of us purchased several items that weren't right, and, by the time we attended the class, it was too late to buy the materials...we did a lot of sharing. Again, we also purchased several items we didn't use. One that I remember was to purchase several mini cookie cutters, and it turned out that we didn't need to use them unless we "wanted to". I purchased several sets of them, spending at least $25, only to find a regular cookie cutter, or shaping the fondant with a knife, would have been just fine. We also purchased many items that turned out to be wrong since the instructor's supply list was not clear. After the last class I attended, I did learn that there are many free tutorials on fondant cake decorating. I did appreciate the option to learn in person. However, the poor quality of instruction was clearly not worth the money. I will await your response. UPDATE 10/23/2013- I have still not received a refund. I have also not been contacted by Chefs2B regarding this situation. You must think it makes you look better on yelp to offer to make the situation right. It's really too bad that you have made no efforts, while you are suggesting that you would right here. Horrible customer service.

As a new mom, I was super nervous about leaving my little guy somewhere new for the first time since he was born - but they have exceeded all expectations. From Day 1 the teachers and staff made an effort to know his name, and make all of us feel so welcome and valued. The teachers in room 1 have all been so kind and lovely, especially Raven - who really seems like she was meant to be around babies. She brings such joy and light into each day and gives detailed updates (even for blowouts lol) with a smile. As far as technology, the daycare offers apps for parents to live stream video of all classrooms and see live feed updates of everything going on in the day (diapers, how much they ate, etc), which we have found super helpful to feel 'in the loop'. The teachers also upload pictures of our little one throughout the week which we so so enjoy. They offer events and special days for the kids frequently, in addition to a (paid) parents night out which we hope to take advantage of soon! There are snacks for the kiddos each morning, and chocolate chip cookies on the way out every friday afternoon. The babies in Room 1 are involved in a range of activities throughout the day such as story time, flashcards, sensory activities, painting (with take home presents for mom and dad), outside buggy time, and a variety of other things. Tip for other new moms: they don't let you do glass bottles (or food jars), for fear of shattering upon warming. Plastic bottles / food jars only.
