What can I say, they took half our tree. We have a pepper tree that really seems to admire our neighbor's yard. We needed a good trim so we called around for a few quotes. I hired Javier due to the excellent reviews. What a nightmare. I've been waiting over a month to write a review, waiting for him to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, after giving him ample opportunity, he has chosen not to do so. First of all, he was initially scheduled to cut down my trees on a Monday morning. He canceled at the last minute because one of his workers showed up drunk (his words, not mine). He rescheduled for Tuesday. When he quoted the job, the told me he would be here all day. I had a 2:30 doctor's appointment, which I did not think would be an issue, because I would be back long before the day was done. When I first had Javier out, I was VERY clear that this was not a typical job. I just wanted the trees trimmed back a bit to clean them up because my house was going up for sale shortly. I didn't want them to look bare. Unfortunately, he did not relay this information to his father who was the one onsite. So, 1) They didn't really clean up the trees. 2) The trees look incredibly bare They did a piss-poor job and were in a rush to get paid before I left for my doctor's appointment, so I couldn't do a proper inspection. As it was, I had to have them come back to fix one branch I had specifically talked to them about cutting but they did not do. However, later I noticed a much bigger problem... He left a tree behind that is sticking up through the middle of another tree. That tree was supposed to be removed and is in the middle of my front yard! I have texted him at least six times. He told me he couldn't come out right away but he would be out the next week. That was a month ago. My ex-husband has now also called him twice. We are hearing NOTHING back. My house is going on the market in two weeks and I have a tree with its top lopped off growing through the middle of another tree. read more

This review is about customer service. I cancelled the job and here is why: I called JC because my neighbor had hired them to prune a large shared tree. Javier was very responsive and came to give me a quote. I hired him to prune one tree and a tall shrub. His crew was supposed to arrive today to do both jobs. At 10:30 I sent a text asking for an ETA. I heard nothing. The neighbor left a voice mail and many texts. At 12:45, I received a text saying, "We had an emergency tree situation come up today, we will do your tree tomorrow." Nothing else. No apology for the late reply or a time. I let him know I had been waiting all morning and then asked what time to expect them. the reply," I just talked to my foreman. Between 11-1." I asked, "No apology for the inconvenience?" They worked very efficiently, and made sure that the falling branches didnt cause any damage around my backyard.
