We pulled off in Grand Junction and started making calls to find someone who could take a look, and hopefully get us back on the road within 24 hours as we were meeting up with friends for my wife's birthday. The problem with our plan was that it was 4:00 pm and every shop in town that I talked to said 'They were closing for the night, and that Grand Junction, being a small town, nobody would even look at our rig for the next 2 or 3 days'. That was, until I called Transwest Truck Trailer RV and talked to Marvin. Marvin told me that he would be working until midnight, and he would do his best to get someone to take a look at our rig, maybe not until morning as there were several jobs in the queue ahead of us, but he'd try. Well he didn't just try. He talked to Wil, one of the mechanics whose shift had just ended as we pulled in, and explained our situation. Wil clocked back in and was under our coach within half hour of our arrival. He determined the problem (bad air leveling rod bushing), rebuilt, and resecured it in under an hour and had us back on our way with barely a couple hours lost; and the cost was a lot less than it would have been at the Freightliner shop back home. I can't praise highly enough the care, courtesy, and professionalism shown us by Marvin and Wil. They went the extra mile for us and made sure our trip wasn't ruined.

We were told they had to contact the seller with our offer and would let us know when they received an answer. After three days and no news, we reached out. They said they weren't going to contact the seller unless we put money down. The salesman never said this was a requirement when we were there, he just gave us the option and simply said that not doing so would just keep it on the market for the other potential buyers in the meantime. So, we were waiting on a call that was promised that they had no intention of making. It was just a massive waste of time. This would have been our 4th RV purchase, all from different places...this was the worst experience we have had with service at a dealership. If you're buying your first RV, you can do much better.

As soon as you turn on the water pump, water sprays everywhere. Since they are closed on Sunday and Monday, we will not have access to any water for at least 3 days. Extremely Disappointing Service and Lack of Accountability in the Service Department We scheduled an appointment a month in advance and dropped off our motorhome at 8:30 AM on the day of our appointment, specifically requesting a price quote before any work began. By 3:30 PM, we still hadn't received any updates, so we called--only to find out they hadn't even pulled it in to look at yet. My husband had to push hard and even go up there the next day just to get things moving. After speaking with the GM, we finally received pricing information in the afternoon of the second day. They assured us the work would be done by noon the following day. The most frustrating part? The actual work took less than a day. If they had honored our appointment, we wouldn't have been forced to spend extra money on an Airbnb while waiting. To top it off, when we picked it up, no one offered any apology or attempt to make things right. We really felt a lack of respect for our time and money.

Our old motorhome had severe transmission trouble coming in from Utah last week and we had to be towed into Stewart & Stevenson because Transwest refused to help fix our vehicle. Rex not only helped us get the motorhome into the lot safely, but then started looking at it first thing in the morning. They were thorough and more importantly HONEST about what was wrong and quickly fixed the issue. They were fair in their charge and I was thrilled to have it back so quickly. Rex and staff were professional, thorough, fair and timely. If you ever need transmission help in Grand Junction, do yourself a favor and go to Stewart & Stevenson and ask for Rex. I was so grateful!

We chose to limp it into Grand Junction, Co. where we felt our chances for repair was best. The first shop we contacted said they couldn't even look at it for two weeks! Then, my fiancee recommended I call around. My next call was to Stewart and Stevenson in Grand Junction who said they could get it in immediately. They provided a place to park our fifth wheel and even offered power while they looked at the truck. It turned out that my 10 speed Spicer transmission needed rebuilt or replaced which they offered to do. Long story short, they could not locate parts nor could they find a matching transmission (not their fault thanks to the odd trans and the current situation of our country and the supply chain...I'll stop there). We felt we were doomed. As we sat there in our fifth wheel wondering what we were going to do...we heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and two employees stood there...they proceeded to give me a name and a number of a guy who might be able to come up with a suitable transmission as he dealt in used truck parts. Well, they were right. He found what we needed in Chicago. It was shipped and the crew at Stewart and Stevenson installed it along with a new clutch and main seal. We sat in Grand Junction eight days but it only took these guys about two to get the work done. Everyone there was awesome. Great hospitality right down to transporting us to get and return a rental vehicle. They offered facilities to us and everything. They....had zero obligation to offer information to us of a competitor who might be able to help. Yet they did. Many shops would have made us wait until THEY could find the right parts and pocket all the money themselves! Not Stewart and Stevenson. They actually showed they care about people and sought to find a way to get us going again....GREAT JOB you guys!!!! 10 Stars!!!! p.s. If you all read this, take care of the tree...it's a Weeping Willow that I grew myself. It was going to my uncle in Wyoming. One day...it will provide great shade so the employees can park under it! LOL Our gift to you!

I wanted to sit on the couch, bring up the specs on my phone, and walk around the space, dreaming about what it would be like to use the space. I did not want the pressure of a salesmen sitting there staring at me, asking me questions(which is exactly what he started off with asking about my truck). When I was asked to be left alone with my wife, I was told, "it's a $90,000 camper, no". I almost drop this much cash on a similar camper last week but needed to feel more sure. These campers depreciate fast. If they had a camper I was sure I liked, I'd come to them and ask questions and see if we could work out a deal. Instead, I'll never come to this place again. The salesman showed a lack of respect. Every other RV place I have ever been to has been very accommodating in checking out the RV's in peace. Maybe he made a judgement on me because I drove up in a Tesla? I'm not sure. This is the first time I ever had a salesmen not allow us to be alone in a RV with my wife to discuss the space and its uses. My wife is very unsure about such a small space, and I feel the need to show her what I like about the trade offs...without a 3rd parting stairing at us. So, just know that this place will not let you check out their stock without a chaperone. I guess it's like a sports car dealership asking you not to sit in the car. This place will not get any of my money willingly. Neither will Lance now by proxy.

The day before our planned arrival, my husband was admitted to the hospital for emergency open heart surgery. I understand that parks have cancellation policies but this park already had my money for the stay, they would not be losing revenue on the site. Their policy is to keep the one night's fee and charge an ADDITIONAL $30 for short notice cancellation. I was told that if I'd have given them more notice it would not have been charged. I called them an hour after my husband was admitted. An emergency can't be foreseen 48 hours before arrival. The staff was friendly by not very understanding of the situation. No other park we have ever stayed at has this policy. Usually a cancellation fee is deducted from the deposit and the balance is refunded. I am pursuing action through my credit card company, will never stay here in the future, and plan on leaving reviews on every website I can find. Every other park I had booked for this extended trip was understanding and compassionate about my husband's emergency surgery.
