Located inside Greenbrier Mall across from QVC. There is a Sephora inside. The store was pretty neat and clean. The staff wasn't friendly at all though. I ordered online & went to pick my order up. You pick online orders in the Home department on the first floor. I wish there was an expedited line for pick ups, but I had to wait in a long line for my order. That was annoying. JCP isn't my favorite store, but they have lots of good deals. Look online for coupons before you order or go shopping in the Store. They wore masks and the floor was taped for social distancing. The customers didn't pay attention to that though. So, be sure to wear your masks to prevent getting their germs. read more

Let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's start this review!. I believe this department store is similar to most:'what do I mean when I say that you ask'? Just about all clothing stores sell items with the hope that you'll purchase their products that they display, whether you see them in physically in stores or view them online the purpose is the same. I'm like anyone else ( well most of us anyway ) when I shop I look for deals that seem good and I also look for quality and style too so ultimately we all hope to get more bang for your bucks! The reason I left out one star is because again like most department stores they don't always have what you're looking for and the size you desire so you may have to go to another store further away then what you want to drive to or purchase online and maybe having to pay extra for shipping and handling but that's not going to stop me from shopping here or anywhere else. I will definitely return and hope you do too!. read more

Okay this is a decent JCP. I'm giving 2.5 stars. I like the one at PTC better, because they have more of a selection for what I'm looking for BUT logistically this is the better location for me. Customer service can be hit or miss but I do a good job at figuring out what I need without having to ask anyone. Seems like JCP stores are cluttered/crowded/packed to the gills (JUNKY) so it's not a spacious shopping trip at all - in ANY department. I try to go during an off peak time so I'm not bumper to bumper with another shopper. I think the best shopping for JCP is done online and then you just go to the store to return anything. But make sure that you have your receipt when you return because they have an aggressive return policy. read more

This was a very short visit. I ran directly to the Juniors section and then hopped over to where they have accessories and tights. I also peeked in their lingerie department. I found zero cute footless tights here for Juniors. The also have a limited bathing suit selection. Where are all of the sporty one-piece bathing suits for juniors or misses? I did notice they had a great selection of spring and summer dresses for reasonable prices. JC Penny's does not carry my bra size or my daughters. They need to consider carrying the larger cups with small bands. It appears that the only department store in this area that carries our sizes is Dillards. I doubt I'll be returning here anytime soon. read more

Based on the customer service received here, this location may soon follow Sears and it's demise in this mall. Have visited frequently and have never been able to check out in less than 20 minutes, even when I ordered online and simply went to pick the order up. Feels like stepping back into time 35 years, when I would spend all day long in the shopping mall with my mom in the 80s. Only now, I am 40 with a job, life and family and don't have that kind of time! I will only shop JCP online now when they are having free shipping. read more

Trying to find clothes her at appeals to my 30-something sense of style is very challenging! I do appreciate the Sephora-inside-JcPenney location, it is a gem and I love it. Check out the jewelry, accessories, shoes and purses. The foundations/lingerie/sleepwear section is lacking in my opinion. I have always found the staff here to be most helpful. There is almost always a coupon arriving in the mail or accessible on the website. They have good sales. read more

Date of Visit - 6.16.17 Gift Purchasers Beware! I purchased a pair of jeans for my husband. Based on his size and height, it can be difficult to find jeans for how tall he is. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. I thought I found a pair of jeans for him. As I checked out, with no one in line behind me, I requested a gift receipt in case the pants were not right. I was not informed and little did I know that returns EVEN WITH A GIFT RECEIPT are given a gift card, not a refund. Not everyone is trying to run scam. No wonder JCPenney is on the verge of collapse. I guess I had better cash in the $50+ gift card I am forced to use there before this store follows suit with the last vestiges of their stores around the country. I prefer to try on clothes and so does my husband. I actively avoid ordering online. This scenario is a prime example of why. The pants were too long and we did not want to pay an additional amount of money to get them hemmed. I purchased these pants with a debit card, thus I had the money to spend, in turn, there is no reason that money could not be handed back to him. I can see there being hesitation if my purchase was made with a credit card, but this was a debit card. My sister works at a JCPenney out of state. That store has shut down registers, has only one dressing room available in the entire store, and no one manning the shoe department. You are killing your own business with these policies. I will hesitate to purchase from here at a later date knowing one morning the store might not be open, but they might have my money... read more

The store itself was great but my review is on an employee. The cashier that checked me out was AMAZING, her name was Janelle. She was very friendly and helpful. I had purchased many items and she was very pleasant to experience. Don't try to return anything at the young men's department. I had an even exchange. I needed different sizes. The attendant rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed. The other attendant started the return and said, "Jesus" while working at the register. They had to call a third person over. Boy has customer service declined here. This review is of the JCP Salon. I tried to make an appointment with my normal stylist, but she was not in, and would not be in for a few weeks. I talked to another stylist on the phone and told her what I wanted. She said "I could do that haircut in my sleep." I decided since I was just going in for a trim to my normal haircut, and some additional highlights, I would go ahead and book the appointment. This stylist did not listen to me. She dry cut my hair, when I have never had a haircut turn out well like that. She had also told me that she had spoke to my regular stylist and she knew what root color to use. When it came to the root color she brought me the book and pointed to crazy purplish reds that she thought would look nice. I told her no, I wanted it to look natural. She said she understood. I also only wanted a natural red underneath, with blonde highlights on the top. The same as I came in with. All this was the same as I had gotten before, just 2 months before. I was not trying to reinvent the wheel. I was very clear. She put the root color and highlights in, then washed my hair. She turned my chair around so my back was too the mirror, wanting to do a "big reveal" at the end. She told me she was going to make some minor adjustments to my cut. I started getting really concerned when just as much hair was falling as the first time she cut it. I should also mention, that I was there for 3.5 hours, and it has never taken that long to do a cut and color in my life. After she styled it, she turned the chair around and it was awful. I had orange streaks running throughout my hair, and my hair was crazy short. She said she cut the front shorter to accentuate my round face. I had asked for an A-line style with the front longer to take away from my round face. Also the same as I had. I have a professional job, and this look was horrible for my job and for me as a person. It looked more like I should be hanging out at a club, rather than going to a meeting. It is going to take months to grow this out. I had to go to another salon the next day, to fix the color. There was nothing that could be done about the length. I had small pieces of hair sticking up all over the top of my scalp. The new stylist told me this was due to her using the thinning sheers to close to my head. I took that receipt to JCP and with some arguing they refunded the amount of the bill to fix the color. It is tolerable now, but still not what I asked for. One of two things happened. She either messed up and had to cut shorter to fix it, or she did what she wanted. I am inclined at this point to believe she thought she knew better than me, and she did what she wanted thinking I would love it. I did not. I HATED it. People have told me it makes me look older, and my face looks fuller. Neither of these are ever desirable to hear. Also, I tried to contact the JCP salon manager the next morning, and instead for trying to help me I got brushed off. I think they were just hoping I would drop it. I am sure there are some decent stylists there, but I will never go back after this fiasco. read more

Store #2832 I called the Salon on Saturday November 28 to make a haircut/style/color appointment using the Black Friday coupon: $50. The lady that answered did not know if that specific location would accept the Black Friday coupon. She did not know the salon hours of operation for Sunday 29 November. She found out the hours and that yes the salon would honor the coupon and made me an appointment for Sunday 29 November at noon. I arrived at the store at 11:45 and at noon proceeded to the salon but it wasn't open. At 1220 I checked out and asked to speak to the store manager. She apologized and made a phone call to a salon employee, not sure who, but she was told that the staff was on the way up. I left JCP and entered the mall did some shopping and came back to the salon 2.5 hours later and the salon was still closed. Very unsat to waste a customer's time in this fashion. Terrible customer service. read more
