    I always find something to buy at JCPenney! There's always a great variety of items on sale, and everything seems clean, even though there's a bit of a scruffy vibe for some reason. Maybe the lighting, maybe the floors. LThe store is conveniently located inside a shopping mall with plenty of free parking, which is a big plus. I've even had the same cashier help me twice -- super friendly and consistent service! And I was able to go in with my dogs, which makes the shopping experience even better.

    Good sales, clean and organized. Only one island of registers per floor but long lines move rather quickly. Service is always good and professional. The women's clothing section as I don't prefer super trendy stuff. Handbag section is not good anymore, with bland designs. For a holiday shoe sale I'd expect more than $10 off for Easy Spirits. But I come here for great jewelry deals and selection. It's early December. Almost all of the jewelry is at least 40% off (plus an extra 30% online coupon) compared to Macy's where overly marked up jewelry is 25% off. Just as good quality and cuter Christmas jewelry. I like Monet and Liz Claiborne the best. Hard not to buy some things for myself (I know what I like best!) as I gift shop. When parking is hard to find, go to eastern side of JCP adjacent to Hannum Ave. Except for shoes, I'd say there are great sales throughout the store.

    Staff people only do refunds depending how you look like. I choose one star,because if not I couldn't post anything. Here I go . I got a Levi's jeans on December 9th,second floor ,by the register of the entrance . Unfortunately;jeans wouldn't fit on me after the purchase ,why? I don't know . I forgot to keep my receipt and the tags on the jeans. Then ;I went back to the store on December the 29th. . One of the employees of the return section said 'no tags no receipt ,no refund ' . Okay . I called the costumer service line ;somebody give me the 'corporate number ' . I call that number ;an agent told me that no matter what ;I should to be able to return the jeans . I asked to confirm with somebody else ,she did it saying that a supervisor told her that the store should to give me the refund and reply saying 'I don't want to go back inside and try again ,what was so weird is when she said 'why you don't try with somebody else '? I was like 'what'?. I went back to the store (second time ) I found the cashier guy who sell me those jeans ,he was trying to be help calling somebody to reprint me a receipt . Teresa showed up asking why I need the receipt for . I said because I want to return the jeans . Immediately she said 'no,we don't accept returns on jeans ,specially Levi's ,because is a nation wide brand and those jeans could it be from another store ' Seriously?? Telling her that I have my proof of purchase and the day /time that I pay for those and she can look at the cameras. She said that the cameras are only for a police report . Okay .... I went out again,calling the costumer service . Again ,same story 'the store would to give me my money back accepting the jeans ,no matter the tags or the receipt ' . Went back to the store ;visit the bottom floor now ,cashier called a supervisor (Hispanic ) trying to help me ,she called a manager . Who showed up ? Teresa ,amazing . She told me again that I can't get a reprint . I told her about my phone call to costumer service and she's start being smart about it. Saying 'which costumer service ? The website I said 'what website ' JCPenney website . 'Ah !that website ,we'll they know we can't receive those jeans ' I just talk to them and they said you have to accept my return and she came back with the same attitude 'who's they'?? Costumer service at the website ,showing her the phone ,she's like 'which website ' I said ' is right here ,Jc Penney' . I was like 'why you don't give me a copy of my receipt ?? She's like 'because either way ,we can't give you a refund on those jeans ' , we'll I'm sure the receipt has something who identified the jeans were purchased at this location. She's like 'but your purchase was long time ago ...and is too much to do ' . At the end ,she won't give me the receipt saying that I have to contact costumer service again and make them create a case number in order to get my refund . I just couldn't believe this . Calling the costumer service Depto AGAIN Edgar pick up my phone call and he couldn't believe it either ,he created a case number and supposedly 'escalate ' this issue to corporate . Then ;In two days costumer service or escalate Depto calling me back ,right now is at least 4 days and nothing. I'm just amaze by the way that I been treated at that store . To me ;this was some form of discrimination at some point ,would be another kind of person ,those employees will take the time to find that receipt and accept the return. I can't believe that also JCPenney has a way to 'speed ' your complaint. YES ! Paying 9 usd they can put your complaint as a priority to contact you in less than 3 days ,if that is not happening ,they will refund you the money . What a great service ! Paying to be heard ! How funny that costumer service said YES and the store say NO . That showed what kind of management are in that store and what kind of costumer service line JC Penney has . Be careful everybody ...

Unfortunately, an experience about two years ago completely changed how I feel about this store. During my last visit, I was racially profiled and followed throughout the store by two asset protection employees (one male and one female). I have no idea why I was singled out. Despite being treated that way, I still purchased around $600 worth of items that day. What made it even more upsetting was seeing one of them waiting near the front door as I was leaving, as if they expected me to do something wrong. I even waved and laughed in disbelief because it was so obvious. He stood at the door after following me, once the second person started following me, then left that post after I walked out with my purchased items. What's even more frustrating is that I saw someone else (same ethnicity as the security that were following me) in the store actually stealing items, but because they were so focused on watching me, they completely ignored her. I saw her walk right out the door after stuffing her pockets and purse with stolen items. Unbelievable! That experience was disappointing. I left the store wishing I hadn't spent a dime there. Since then, I've never returned to that location. I even tried shopping at the Nordstrom Rack on Fig at 7th downtown recently, and unfortunately experienced the same thing, being followed around the store. Because of these experiences, I've decided I will no longer shop at Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom. No customer who is spending their hard-earned money should feel targeted or profiled while simply trying to shop. Prior to the incident where I was followed around the store, I had another frustrating experience at this location. On a previous visit, I purchased clothes and other items. When I walked out, the alarm at the door went off, but another customer was exiting at the same time so I assumed it was related to her purchase. I had two bags of clothes and other items, and didn't notice anything unusual when I quickly checked my bags. About a month later, when I went to wear one of the dresses, I discovered the security sensor was still attached. It was black and blended in with the dress, which is probably why I didn't notice it earlier. I then checked the other clothes and two more dresses that I hadn't worn yet and found that they also still had sensors attached, hidden on the slip of the dress. I returned to the store to have them removed, but initially the staff refused because I didn't have the receipt. Fortunately, I had used my Nordstrom credit card and they were able to look up the purchase and finally remove the sensors. This situation could have been avoided if the employee had properly checked the dresses (since they hide their sensors) before bagging them. These are higher-priced items that typically have sensors attached, so you would think staff would be trained to know where the sensors are placed. But I don't totally blame the staff because they were hidden. Why not make them visible? Why place a black sensor on a black dress? Customers shouldn't have to inspect their purchases for security tags after leaving the store. Goodbye, Nordstroms! It was fun while it lasted.

I was actually given really good service with regards to getting a room and getting the last pair of shoes. I even bought the last sweater which is super adorable for fall. I did come back and find really cool pieces that I loved before which were now on sale for 30%, and the Staff is really sweet and helpful. Previously, I gave the store 3 stars for not having the right change and having me wait over 15 minutes because my mom was waiting on me to have dinner, but I am letting that incident go. Yes I wished they carried more change, but I guess there are things we cannot control in life. This store has beyond cute stuff and for reasonable prices, so I will definitely come back to shop. One small incident is not enough to make me stop shopping. The staff is really helpful and nice. The clothes are just casual and reasonably priced in a great location, so I am just grateful that it is close enough to my work to be able to come here on lunch or after work.

This grand opening does include similar treats like a free UNIQLO tote, free goodies like chips and mochi, and a Taiko Drum performance. I did buy some more stuff because this store location did provide a nice deal on the cotton boxer briefs. You can tell that the black was popular and so there was only a few navy left, so I was able to grab a few. I think the store still needs to work out its kinks with the self register because it was still adding items to my cart that I clearly did not have. This has happened in the other UNIQLO stores too, so I think it's a bit too sensitive. Overall, I really like UNIQLO and welcome the addition to the mall!

(They left a sign that says they'd be back in 30 minutes.) & my other thought was that - at the price point of each single item from Reformation, I believe the business can afford at least two employees on site at a time. After about an entire hour, two girls showed up with leftover food in their hands. I was there, & I waited because I needed something specific to wear. & I don't mind waiting at all for an employee to come back from lunch. There were other women waiting outside as well. This case was unique. There were two employees, who took a break simultaneously because they'd rather the clients wait. & when they came back, they did not let customers in immediately. It was hot outside. Not terrible, but waiting an hour out there was not fun. One other customer was not as patient. She had exploded over the phone with maybe customer service (or her friend) regarding the same experience. I was confused when the employees entered without paying any mind to the people who had been waiting. Sure, it only took them a few more minutes to reopen the business. but what? Never mind the people who had been waiting. Bottom line is, I would never return to this store. It was a shit experience. Not everyone is here out of a desire for luxury, but this was pretty low on any customer service I had ever experienced. There was not a single considerate thought for the customers. I appreciate a brand like Reformation for its sustainability efforts & a price point that isn't too far out of reach for some people. And a brand of this magnitude simply cannot endorse this behavior.
