So, I'm grateful that they were able to take me as a walk-in and I'm thankful that their was a sale of $10 for wash and blowout...BUT THAT'S ALL. I wanted specific type of blowout with minimal products in my hair and a deep condition. The deep conditioning part was amazing. I even liked how my hair felt after the wash was completed. However, as soon as the hairstylist trying to blow dry my hair, I knew she did not know how to blow dry hair. The way she was blonde drying my hair was all wrong. It wasn't even the professional way of blow drying and polishing. When I looked at myself in the mirror with the final product I decided not to say anything but thank you. Sometimes just writing our view is better than starting a confrontation and not knowing how the person would react with your response. I ended up paying for the service because I didn't want to go into detail on what I did not like. I ended up going to KOi Hair Salon where Chrissy fixed the mess that was made. I'll post pictures of what JC Penny did and what Koi fixed. For those that are not familiar with hair, my hair, you may think that all the pictures look the same. However, with the JCPenney style, the money that I spent would've been wasted within two days because of humidity, as well as hair oil. It wouldn't have lasted for as long as I wanted it to. You can already see that they did not pull out all the curls for my hair. Koi Hair Salon made my hair bouncy, shiny, and feel healthy. I highly recommend that salon and Chrissy, the hairstylist. * You can tell which is which one is JCPENNY vs Koi Hair Salon by my facial features‍. Enjoy!

Folks give this mall a hard time because it doesn't have a lot going for it, but Jacksonville…read moreitself doesn't offer much. You have Western Blvd and two other main roads and that's it. I'm super grateful that it exists. This is a decently sized mall for the town. The mall has around 60 stores and kiosks combined. That's really good! I don't know what others are expecting? Sorry it doesn't have a Gucci store? On a good day when I feel like abusing my wallet, I only visit a quarter of the stores - GameStop, Torrid, and Hot Topic included on the list. The food options are meh, but most of the time I don't venture far from my chicken teriyaki samples and a pretzel. Restrooms are clean which is a huge thing for me! I can't stand a public space with dirty toilets! You get to walk around, see the sights, hang out with friends and family... It's a good, little mall. Give it a break.

Seriously, they went overboard with the sham jewelry stands. The incessant calling from the kiosks every 15 feet is absurd. Next, two of the businesses actually caught an attitude with me for not wanting to look at their stores despite me politely saying, "I'm all good man have a good day" once called upon. Getting haggled for walking to Barnes and noble isn't what people sign up for lmao. I will never go to this place again. Would rate -1 if possible.
