They also sometimes have a live piano player as does Glenview, which is really fantastic and create a great feeling to add to that welcome Homie sense that they build. Similar to the Glenview location I will say again really great selection. They carry great brands however because I feel like it is slightly larger they carry even more product and therefore more options. Love coming here as usual parking is pretty easy inconvenient for Yorktown and so glad that old-school type department stores still exist somewhere here in the Illinois area.

I don't understand why Desi people (specifically rude aunties) make it seem like they're doing you a favor my letting you into their store. Basic customer service skills should be common sense when you own a shop, especially in America. We didn't end up buying anything because to be honest, I recognized most of her dresses from Taburruj in Devon when I went there 6 years ago. She definitely sells outdated outfits bought from Devon stores that they didn't sell. Might as well order online or just go to Devon or elsewhere. One of their policies is no tag, no sale, but I thought it should be a simple fix. The fitting room staff said the process of getting a new tag could take a day or two, which might not be the case at other retailers. Normally, it would take just a minute or two, even at stores like Savers or Goodwill. She also refused to call the manager to meet me, saying there was no point because the manager would go through the same process anyway. She suggested I wander around to find him. I decided to walk away toward the front store and stopped to ask two young staff working in the pants and shoes sections to call the manager for me. They said they couldn't find the manager nearby, so they called another staff member to call him. Finally, I was able to speak with Alex, the manager. I was on the verge of tears because I was upset and stressed. This store is like a thrift store--if you don't get the item that day, you might not find it again because they don't have the same inventory as a retail store. As I mentioned, it took me over an hour to find this dress. I explained the situation to Alex, including how much time I spent, the importance of finally finding the one dress that you and your spouse love, the stress of potentially losing it and not being able to find it again if I had to wait a day to come back--especially since they have no hold policy. I was crying while talking to him, and he said he would see what he could do and walked to the back office. While waiting for the manager, I overheard giggling and mocking sounds from the two young staff I had asked for help earlier. When I turned around, they stopped but still giggled in my direction. I caught one of them pretending to cry. I approached them and took this as a teaching/ learning opportunity. I asked if they were making fun of me, and they denied it. Then I told them I saw that they mocked me crying. One girl said she asked her friend if I was crying, and her friend said yes--that's all. I told them that wasn't right because I had seen it happen quickly enough. As a teacher, I explained that that's not very nice, and they shouldn't do that to anyone because it's unkind and mean. I also told them that I believe the world should be about treating people with respect and kindness, which is one of the most important things these days. I spoke to them respectfully and calmly, without causing a scene, since they already looked embarrassed. The other staff members stepped in and asked what happened, so I explained. They moved the two young staff to different sections. However, none of them apologized. Alex returned and was able to put the tag on without any issues. He then quickly walked away, so I didn't get a chance to express my concerns. But at that moment, I was just so happy to have my dress that I chose to walk away from the stressful situation instead of letting it ruin my day. Lastly, the cashiers--maybe they're having a bad day--none of them smiled or greeted me. When I asked questions, they just brushed me off. I've never written such a long review before, but I hope the company or someone higher up sees this so they can improve the store environment and customer experience. In a world where you can be anything, be kind! That's all. P.S. Would I go back again? Maybe, because there are so many good finds with great value there. But I might have to wait a while because of what I just experienced.

I was initially unsure about consigning the bag, but Angie said she was really interested/they really wanted it and I thought why not. I like to support small business. A few days later, I realized I hadn't received a copy of the contract I signed. I called and there was more than two weeks of back-and-forth: Angie would look it up and call me back, she sent it, maybe she sent to the wrong email address, etc. On Oct. 10, I finally received a screen shot of my items and the consignment prices with the contract date 9/21/24 and expiration date 11/21/24 No attachment or contract. I didn't worry much about it, and in hindsight I was too trusting. In December, I remembered the consignment. Every other consignment shop I've worked with either has an online portal to check your items/contract or has provided a courtesy call/reminder to pick up before items are donated. Clearly it was on me to remember and pick up when the contract expired. Not that I had or ever received a copy of a contract with their terms. I'm just stating what I'm used to. I don't live in the area. I drove up on a day off during their stated business hours; a sign on the door said they were closed. Went back a few days later, found them open and I arranged with Angie to come back on Jan. 24 to pick up my items. I saw several of my items on the floor and commented on it to Angie; I should have grabbed them at that point. I then had a medical issue requiring daily doctor's visits; one was scheduled for my pick-up day/time. I called and left a message that I couldn't come in 1/24 and needed to reschedule. Angie left a voice mail the next day that she had an opening the following Wednesday, if I recall. I called back and left a message that my work schedule didn't allow me to come in; requested a call back. After another round of phone tag, I emailed Feb. 2 with some open dates and times, explaining my tricky schedule with work and doctor's visits. No response. I got busy with work, family and the ongoing medical issues. Granted, again, I recognize it was on me that I didn't continue following up after the contract date (again, not that I ever received a contract) had passed. I assumed it was clear from my multiple contacts I wanted to pick up my items, and that I would get a response to my last call and email. I finally called and reached Angie on March 27. She said she was busy with customers and would call me back. She called back and told me that a few items had sold and I'd get just under $50; everything else had been donated. I told her I was angry at the lack of response when I had tried scheduling pick-up and the utter lack of customer service throughout this experience. She apologized as though she was reading a script; I felt as if she couldn't care less. She told me I'd receive my check in 5-10 business days. Needless to say, it's now April 18, no check and I'm not holding my breath or surprised. I should have heeded the prior reviewers mentioning their poor and similar experience. Lesson learned.

I began shopping & consigning here over ten years ago. I found the experience to be convenient and extremely helpful. Catrina has great style and can find pieces that will complement your shape and aesthetic. Some of my favorite pieces were amazing finds from this shop. My fur was a GREAT deal! Several purses and accessories. Dresses and special occasion wear, too. I will say that she is very selective when selecting piece to consign and I appreciate that. I prefer to shop high quality items versus a high quantity of items. I appreciate that she will try and sell items on eBay as well as in the store to increase the odds of sale. She's always been great about supporting community efforts and has a philanthropic spirit around certain causes. If you didn't have a pleasant encounter with this store, I encourage you to return and share what wasn't to your liking. An honest conversation and an open heart can make a huge difference. I will continue to support this local shop whenever I can.

I asked to start a fitting room and instead of helping out they just told me to put my things in a room. So I put many items in there and kept shopping. When I went back to try everything on everything was gone, the fitting room was empty. It turns out the manager put everything away. She said the store was closing in five minutes so I couldn't try them on anyways. No apology, no attempt to find the things she took. I checked my watch and the store didn't actually close for another ten minutes. Plenty of time to try at least a few items on. There were two other people trying things on as well. The manager kept bugging them, are you finished the store is closing, in a blunt rude way. She needs lessons in customer service and shouldn't be managing this store.

By far the most disgusting, disorganized and all around unprofessional store i have ever been too. Walking up to the store there are usually a group of employees outside to greet you, all smoking cigarettes and basically just staring. That's probably one of the most unprofessional things you can allow your workers to do. Great job management! News flash though, no one going into any type of retail store, restaurant, or business wants too see and smell employees smoking. Pallets of merchandise usually fill the aisles to where you cant even check out the items and this is in the middle of the day. The shelves are always in dissarray and employees are standing around doing absolutely nothing except having loud(really loud) inappropriate conversations. The cashiers are always super rude on top of everything else which is a nice added little slap in the face on the way out after being already frustrated with everything else. Oh, and i forgot you must walk past the large group of (employee) smokers again, slap slap. The store on top of all these other things is just down right filthy. The floor always seems gross like it hasn't been mopped in years and you just get this general feeling of being disgusted while there. My advice would be to 86 everyone in the store, including management and start from scratch maybe being a little bit more selective of who you hire. My advice to consumers would be to just go to target but I'm sure most of you already know this as i do myself but for some reason keep thinking this will change. read more

JC Penney really sucks. The quality of the clothes have gone down hill and prices are higher. coupons don't work on too many things and there are so many kids goofing around instead of helping customers, they just all stand around and talk all day ignoring customers and are so slow at check out. It was so thoughtful and it just elevated the experience of shopping without having to carry a bunch of clothes around. Once I was done browsing I headed to the fitting room area where my things I had picked up were set aside for me. I then had a pants apart of a set I was in love with but was a size too big not work out too well for me. :(( Yet the kindest girl there looked immediately if they had a 00 to pair with my top on hand which they did and they ended up working perfectly! This is one of the few stores that has sizes in tops and pants that fit my waist measurements perfectly!! :)) Once I was done trying on everything the same girl who had set aside my things took everything that didn't work out for me and didn't let me carry a thing! They truly value their customers and go above and beyond for customer service, satisfaction, and experience. The atmosphere is very clean and orderly. Everything was racked neatly and in place. There wasn't a sign of anything un-orderly or messy. Oh my gosh and the fitting rooms( in pictures provided) are just to die for. I ended up leaving with the most beautiful set, yet it wasn't just the clothes that had me leaving happy it was also how respectful and kind I was treated. How helpful all the staff were there and how welcomed I felt. All I can say is if the manager of this location is reading this review, all the girls working the night of 5/24/25 go above and beyond for their customers and in keeping their store looking put together and beautiful and deserve a huge thanks for up keeping a respectful, friendly, and welcoming face for this Aritzia location. I walked in not really looking for anything in particular... and ended up finding something cool for my boyfriend and brother/sister-in-law. BUT. First of all I was greeted by a guy with dreadlocks when I walked in-- who had his mouth full of food. I understand sometimes timing isn't ideal, but he continued to have a conversation with me despite the fact that I was getting a disgusting show of the inside of his mouth. I quickly excused myself from that and said, "just browsing." Now as I'm walking around the store, I am distracted by a woman having a very LOUD conversation with an employee (who I later found out was the manager). Not only was this woman talking at an inappropriately loud volume, she was also talking about rather inappropriate things. I don't know if she worked there, but she was bashing people openly and just overall being a total ass hole. The manager woman just continued conversing with her as if it was no big deal. I finally picked up my items and went to the register to fill out paperwork and check out. The guy with the dreads got me started on paperwork for engraving. As I was filling out the sheet (and mind you, it is pretty quick), two other customers came in and the guy with the dreads moved on to greet them. They had a lot of questions which he was answering, but after I filled out my 30 second paper, I was standing there waiting for the next step. So the manager is standing there having a personal conversation about 2 feet away, the dread guy is helping a customer, and another guy was just walking in circles in the back of the store... while I stand there twiddling my thumbs. About 30 seconds before I'm about to walk out, the dreadlock guy comes back and takes care of me. There is more to this story, but I think you get the jist. I have worked customer service before and basically the idea (especially around Christmas time) is to help customers. And the manager is supposed to delegate tasks. On the other hand, the products turned out beautifully, so that is the reason for my 1 star rating. However, I don't normally like to support businesses that have shitty customer service- no matter how good their product is.

I'm more likely to examine the "regular' sized items in the store and then order my size online. The staff are certainly helpful and sympathetic to my plight. What J. Jill apparel I own is good quality. I highly recommend their washable merino wool pieces. Look for sale items online.

Luckily, the global shortage was exaggerated and this Costco did in fact have the pens in stock-- but getting my prescription transferred here so that it could be filled was truly a patience testing ordeal for the people here. Suzie could have given up. I wouldn't have known and if I had heard about it later I wouldn't have blamed her-- instead she made this happen. We are leaving with my Lantus, and a renewed appreciation of Costco culture and of the decency of one specific person and the dedication of the pharmacy. Thank you.

If you know anything about Japanese whiskey Suntori whiskey is an excellent choice for the orice with great value. Afterall i was visiting family and they never had a Japanese which before. This was a great opportunity to get a bottle at an excellent price. Also got a bottle of reserva Ribiera del Duero Montecrasto. As an avid wine drinker who loves Italian, french and Spaniard wines, the bottle was $23.99, really great value
