Came today 11-29-20 @ 11am for my daughters haircut. The hair stylist told me to sit on the corner chair for distancing. Then she ask the stylist next to her if it's okay, she said YES. After 10 mins,out of nowhere another stylist told me that I can't be there with my daughter I have to wait outside. I told her my daughter is minor. She said it doesn't matter. She then call someone to back her up that because of covid I can't be with my daughter. By the way I looked up the guidelines it says minor child can be accompany by parent. NEVER COMING BACK HERE!!! I brought my daughter in to get her first haircut. She's 6. We cut at least 7 inches off and it was a great experience. There was a little bit of confusion with the scheduling but they were able to accommodate us with no wait. My daughter was treated great and it was a great confidence boost. Jennifer my eyebrow lady moved here. After her, I don't have anyone touch my eye brows. She takes her time and shapes my eyebrows using wax, scissors and tweezing. I've been going to her for about 2 years or so. She does a great job shaping my eyebrows. read more

I've been getting my hair done here for years. I've only had one bad experience 10 years ago, when a stylist decided to apply a hot iron to my hair while it was still wet, but needless to say she wasn't employed too long at this salon. Besides that experience, I've always had amazing stylists that took excellent care of my hair. They are very knowledgeable on many different products to help address your needs. You can, however, find some of the hair care products cheaper elsewhere. The staff here are very friendly and professional. And the facility itself is very clean and well maintained. The prices are also decent here, which is another reason why I keep coming back. read more

My experience here has been hit and miss. I had a terrific ombre years back when my hair was long. I've also had my hair mis-tinted because the stylist made a mistake reading my formula. Most recently, I was stood up for my appointment. The stylist never showed up. I waited for a long time, and finally left. My time is valuable too. No one called me to apologize. I guess my loyalty over the years was not all that important. read more

Was visiting from the East coast and stopped at mall. Noticed there was a Salon up stairs. I really needed a highlight and had the afternoon to kill. Lori, the salon manager was able to get me in. She was totally on her game and pretty fast too. I have fine hair, so every little mark shows if not done correctly. She totally rocked it! Beautiful blend with highlights and low lights and a fresh cut and blow out. I looked totally hot! On with my vacation. I recommend her highly if you can afford it! read more

I would give zero stars but I can't I went to get my hair washed and blow dried I have black people hair it's fairly soft and rarely gets knots and has been handled by all types of people the washing was fine however this chick was detangling my hair with an afro pick common sense you use a wide toothed comb another woman working there just watched from time to time My mom was there and came to tell her what she was doing was wrong and to find a proper comb i have never felt so much pain from my hair because someone who works in a salon was so incompetent Idk if she is trained or not but that was beyond not ok I will never ever go back again read more

I wasnt sure if she knew how to work with African American hair but she does a great job and always leave my hair looking nice and healthy. Kathryn is such a sweet funny down to earth person. She is just as amazing at what she does and is always thinking how she can get better at her craft! Zero stars. I had an appointment for my mother at 12:30. When I checked in, the girl at the counter walked away twice to check with the hairdresser. The second time she returned she requested I come back at 4:00, that she was running behind?? I said no. It's not easy picking up my mother from a nursing home and taking her out to get her hair done. She's in a new area so I had to find a new hair stylist. In the end, was a blessing in disguise. We ran into another hairdresser in another salon that took care of my mother. read more

I recently wanted a color change from a mocha brown to medium with blonde highlights which I had done years ago..I specifically asked to stay away from caramel highlights because I explained I did not want a reddish tinge...when the stylist couldn't guarantee there would be no red undertones I told her to forget the highlights and just lighten me up...what I got was a mix of orange and yellow, an absolutely awful color...I understand we can't always get exactly what we want but after showing about 20 pictures of brownish hair I can't understand how I ended with orangey hair..so disappointing read more

I recently moved to Fairfield and because I always got my hair done at the JCPenney Salon where I am from I decided to go to the one here. Went here to get highlights and a cut. I have hair to my mid back. The girl that I was given to was obviously not experienced. She was very hesitant when speaking to me and kept asking other stylist what they would do. It took her from 11:30 am until 6:40pm 7hrs 10mins. (Never had it take more than 4hrs) to do my hair. Some of the color on the underneath part of my hair is not even. 1)She never kept a timer on any part of my hair. 2) Put me under a dryer with foils still in my hair. 3) Left a couple times laying back on the uncomfortable shampooing sinks for 10 or more minutes. 4) Left by myself in chair while everyone was in other room only to have another stylist come out and say no worries. 5) Had clumps of bleached white hair pulled from my hair after shampooing. I will never go back. read more
