The crew was on time, extremely efficicent and communicative. Everyone was very mindful of our neighbors fence, property, roof line and powerlines. Everyone had PPE on and were so incredibly safe when scaling the trees and hedges. Clean up was very thorough. Majority of our fronds and hedge were processed by the chipper and hauled. Our neighbor was so impressed with the crew he also hired them on the spot to take care of his street tree. It is impressive how much green waste we produced that day. Luckily the city picks up yard trimings on the street so his crew broke down anything else we had to sizeable chunks and neatly piled for SJ GreenWaste to pick up. Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. I had an appointment and the day of the person was nowhere to be seen. I could not get a hold of Xavier. He finally responded after numerous calls. I have several friends in this business and they said that they at least apologize when they over schedule and things come up. Again, I understand this. These needed some trimming to address what our back neighbors did - cut off branches hanging over 'their back' fence'. So, when Sanchez xx came to our door, we thought an opportunity to get this done. We did read yelp but they only had '5' fives reviews and some pretty pictures. My wife said not enough to ensure satisfaction, but I thought okay. In retrospect these should have been a red flag. But I made the poor decision to trust these incompetent people. We agreed to 'light trimming' on several trees - and - we confirmed this 'multiple times' but somehow this got lost in the translation. When returning home after my post surgery doctor's appointment, we came home to a NIGHTMARE! BUTCHERED TREES!!! We were pissed (actually stronger words). I strongly worded my dissatisfaction to XX . But it fell on deaf ears. He basically said, " I left to give an estimate and saw this when I came back". He added the stupid comments; THEY WILL GROW BACK. That is far from the truth as many are 'slow growing' and it will take many years to have lush trees again. Our White Birches were maned and our once Lucious orange tree was damaged so much that we only had about thirty oranges, while we usually get about 140 to 160. These only produce once a year and its obvious next year's crop will be worse. This sad experience is relived each time we look out our kitchen / nook area and we're so saddened. This will be tragic for many many years until new limbs and leaves grow. I can provide pictures of our skeletons, but it pains us to share the ugliest of trees that were once spectacular trees.
