I have been in the DJ business for over 20 years and have seen a lot of AV stores. This by far is the best. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The store is immaculate which is rare in this trade. The rental equipment is very well maintained which is important when you don't have the time to test out the equipment. For those who have run into a problem, like an amplifier going out in the middle of performance, you know how crucial the quality of the equipment can be. The prices are reasonable. For the record, I have rented Shure wireless Mics, Par 64's, dimmer packs, lighting controllers, cables, and video projectors. I have had no problems with any equipment thus far. One more thing, if you need wire couplers like RCA to RCA females, or 1/4 to 1/4 females, they've got a great selection of such odds and ends. I hope they stay in business for a long, long time. read more

The staff is amazing here, always nice to just chit chat with them. It has a old school feel to the place but they're always updating their equipment to be as modern as they can. The prices are great. I've made many rentals and purchases here. When I started off in the mobile DJ business I came here for my rentals and have never went anywhere else. He set everything up for us, sound checked it, and we were set to go. He even took the time to show me (a complete amateur) how to use the sound board and everything. Life savers! Angel was so wonderful and easy to work with. They came through in a pinch for my fathers memorial service. Great communication via email, since I was working full time while planning, that made the process simple. Everything was clean and in good condition. Pick up and drop off was simple. (They can also delivery if they have the availability, I booked only a few days in advance) Angel and his mom were very warm and kind. Kyle was terrible at getting back to me (I continually had to follow up), not good at answering my questions, and generally not very helpful. At one point when I asked that an adapter be included at delivery, he told me "I'm out of the office and can't check to see if we still have one, so you might want to pick one up yourself". When I explained that I wouldn't be able to and asked if someone else could check... you guessed it- he never got back to me. Also, what was delivered was not what I ordered (minor difference). Having said all of that, Karen in the front office was extremely polite and went out of her way to be helpful. And their rates were better than most others. read more

I used them for my parents 50th Anniversary party recently and they were very attentive to detail. Oscar, Ken, and Ian helped put together a wonderful event! The owner of my wedding venue recommended JD Audio for our wedding two weeks ago. They had great reviews and were very courteous and efficient on the phone and the price was great. When my mother and I went to pick up the equipment the day before the wedding they helped to pack the car and were very nice. We were renting an ipod system, and I checked to make sure that we could use it with both our laptop and our iphones. Two minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle my brother found me (he's a sound engineer in Nashville) and told me that the system would not work with my laptop but he could manage to jam it into his iphone. We quickly downloaded the songs we needed for the ceremony onto his phone but the music kept coming in and out during the ceremony. Then we couldn't get it to play at all with our iphones or laptop during the reception. My friend had a shuffle with workout music that we could jam into the cord and use to dance to, but otherwise we went without music. When I returned the system the guy looked at it and said, "Oh, looks like we forgot to give you the adapter." He gave me my money back, but only a begrudging apology. Honestly, the lack of a sincere apology was the hardest part. This was our wedding after all!!! What could have been a great deal turned out to be a disaster. Luckily we had friends who rallied to help out and we were so happy to be married that it didn't ruin the day--but it sure was a disappointment! read more
