I dropped off some tapes to be digitized and made in DVDs about a week before Christmas last year. I was told because of holidays it would take a few weeks. That was fine. That mean mid to late January it should've been done. I heard nothing by end of January and contacted them. They said a few more weeks. Ok. I tried back in February. I was told they haven't even started and we're over loaded and it would be ready in March. I got my stuff 2 full months after estimated time. Unacceptable. They didn't seem to feel too bad about it. I checked the discs when I got home and I am disappointed by the quality of the picture. Maybe something got lost in the condensing of them? In any case, I have another stack of tapes to get digitized and I'll be going elsewhere in the future. These discs are for my family. They were suppose to be late Christmas gifts. *** UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO WOVA I appreciate the apology and remorse. But what I would've liked even more is to feel like you guys respected and cared more about your clients. How? Well I was told three weeks and we'll contact you. Neither happened. By week 2 you probably knew my order wasn't going to be ready on time. You could have contacted me (instead of me trying to chase down information) and given me an opportunity for choices, such as coming to get my stuff and bring it elsewhere or letting you hang on to it to work on it until whenever. That would've been honest, respectful, responsive. The person I was in contact with, Lonnie, kept telling me different dates, was difficult to get a response from and even Made a stupid joke about my name which I didn't appreciate. While I found them during a rare GroupOn endeavor, WOVA has been around 30 years -- maybe more. (And while my 6 month certificate had recently elapsed, WOVA gladly still honored it.) I had some dusty VHS' to transfer to DVDs, and they did a very good job. Good location and pretty good hours (though be sure to call if you're coming in on Saturday end of their day). After buying my GroupOn, however, I did find another place, out of state, with a better rate. Sort of apples and oranges, because I transfer that to Hard Drives (which WOVA can certainly do, too.) But for local, quality work done super quick, WOVA is great. read more

Great service and friendly people! I called in a few days before our event to rent a 50" TV with a pole stand.Chris was extremely helpful over the phone and emailed quotes for various sizes. After two minutes on the phone, WOVA was ready to PICK UP MY TAPES, and processed them in only a couple hours. It was so quick and easy I really thought I was dreaming. I googled up and saw WOVA. Read everything about them on Yelp. I came and turned in my 2 mini DV tapes. And they were going to charge me about $40. So I left there happily. Next day they emailed me that they made an error and will charged me $150 or something because the 2 tapes were HDV, not DV. I was pissed. I pleaded them to give me some discount. And they said okay, they will charged me $80 instead. YAY!!! So I picked up the DVD and the 2 tapes and paid them $80 cash. Wow. The video on the DVD was in GB, Film looks great. read more

I've used WOVA for three different purposes, and each time they came through beautifully. The first was a PAL to VHS transfer, which not many places do. It was a rare old movie that came out beautifully. Next I had a run of DVDs of one of my own films, which went well. With other houses, I've often had quality control problems, but so far the DVDs have been flawless. The third was a rental of a DVD monitor, speakers and a screen for my son's wedding, so that I could show a short film I'd made for the occasion. WOVA gave me a good rate and delivered and set up the equipment beforehand. The next day they came and got it. There were absolutely no problems. I would recomment WOVA to anyone. I intend to do all my duplication there in the future. read more

I was basically volun-told to organize a presentation for 30 people and I would have bombed without the help of Ben and the staff at WOVA. I thought I just needed to rent a projector and screen, however through the process of talking with them I realized speakers and a microphone were definitely needed as well. The company I got a quote from before speaking to WOVA didn't think to make sure I had these vital components, so the mere act of talking through my needs literally saved me from a disaster on the day of the meeting. Not only that, but they saved me money by helping me choose the right type of projector, projector screen, and amp for the audience and room size. On the day of the event they came to set everything up and took everything down - this saved me from any additional stress seeing as I was already maxed out with coordinating everything else that day. Being a mobile DJ and having to rent speakers can be a pain right? Wrong! So far I've rented a simple 2 speaker setup from these guys 2 times now and it was a breeze. Their customer service and communication was great. They quoted me what I needed, I picked up the equipment, and returned the equipment; it was that easy. There were a few minor logistical issues when picking up the equipment at first, but they made sure that everything was fine and I was happy. They initially quote me for some one who had a huge budget, but hey I wish I could have afforded all the equipment.
