If you're looking for flooring, JD Floor is hands down the place to go! I've been spending oodles of time looking for laminate flooring. I've wasted hours in Lowes, HD and L. Liquidators looking at low quality flooring and I just didn't want to settle on something I wasn't in love with. I was becoming beyond frustrated. These guys are great. We had a flood from a busted pipe in our kitchen that ruined the laminate floor. We filed a claim with our insurance company and I got estimates from 2 contractors - 1 being JD Floor Store. The other guy could barely answer any questions and gave a very low ball quote that was actually under my adjuster's estimate. JD came out and spoke with for over an hour about all of our options and how he would write up a detailed estimate that the insurance company would be looking for and would also negotiate on our behalf with the insurance company. He did just that and we got the amount that JD had estimated which was higher than the insurance company's original estimate. As such we were able to upgrade to Alterna vinyl tile in the kitchen and a more sturdy laminate in the rest of the house. The installation team showed up promptly at 8am on Friday and worked all day and then again on Monday. They even included a cleaning service to come and clean the first floor from all the dust. The new floors look amazing and we are very happy we went with JD Floor Store. read more

This is my second set of hardwood floors with JD. He installed a beautiful set of hardwoods in our home 6 years ago and I was very pleased with the quality of work and his patience as i made my decision. We purchased a home for my mother in law 3 years ago that had carpet in the dining room. Yuck! Decided to put hardwoods in the Dining room for her 70th birthday. Initially went to Home Depot because it was a small job and HD had some hardwoods on clearance. I didn't think JD would be interested in something that small. However, because we had had such a great prior experience with JD, I decided to call him on a whim. First, he remember me as soon as I said my name on the phone. This really shocked me (I have robots floor cleaners and he spontaneously asked about them--Which is how I know he was not pretending to remember me). Any I told him our scenario, and while he understood our budget, he asked me to let him quote some options. He came out to the place for free and gave me a range of price and flooring options. He could tell I wanted to do more than the dining room, and so he gave me an "all in" material and install price. That quote got me wider and better planks at the same cost per square foot as what HD was offering on their clearance flooring. Because I knew he would do a great job and i would not need to worry about the floor ever again, I decide to bite the bullet and do all the homes common spaces. Guys who installed were really nice and conscientious. They accommodate several special request and my mother-in-law was very impressed. Actually got them installed within 1 week of making up my mind. Thank for getting me the daughter-in-law of the year award, John! In a world full of shady people, JD is an honorable guy. He's not necessarily the cheapest or someone you go to for small jobs, but if you want a fair price, good work and no hassel, I highly recommend. read more

Used J D floor to replace my carpet around 1000 sq ft , i shopped around with Lowes and Home depot as well. After speaking with all of them i think J D floor guys were the most in tune on what i am looking for and what i am willing to spend. From Store you can pick up like 2 ft board to test and feel unlike Lowes and home depot where only option you have is to pick like small pieces. John and Miguel were great , the project started on time and finished before time. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. We special ordered bamboo flooring for our kitchen. The floors were our big splurge for the project and we were really excited to find someone locally who carried them. Rather than ordering from an online dealer we gave JD floor store our business. What a mistake! The floors got delayed in shipment and we never got a call. 3 days later we called them and continued to play phone tag with the store for days. When they finally came in the associates didn't call us for a day and then when we called them they were so rude we were shocked. When we tried to speak to the manager about a price adjustment (since we had to pay our contractor for the delay), they completely brushed us off. We asked to speak to the owner and were given a phone number that didn't work. Horrible customer service, won't ever work with them again. read more

We spent weeks going back and forth with this company looking at HW flooring and when we decided on one and asked for an estimate we found out they had dated samples in their store that's not even available by the manufacturer. We kept going back and making other choices which then they were saying is discontinued but was inaccurate information because when we called the manufacture they sent us samples and sent us to a better company to buy from. Stay away from their store. they are wasting your time. read more

We recently had J.D. Floor Store install engineered strand bamboo floors and are very, very please with the end result. They were completely accommodating from day 1 when we went in to browse in person, and answered our (what seemed like) hundreds of questions throughout the process. When it came time for our flooring decision, the actual purchase process was very easy, and the installation was only about a week after! The crew that came out was great and very professional and SO FAST! What would have taken us weeks and weeks to even attempt to do (and probably ultimately mess up) took them 1.5 days. We recently had all the carpet taken up in our second floor and replaced with bamboo flooring. The experience we had with JD Flooring was very positive, helpful, and friendly. We received a very good product, price, and professional installation. Because the type of the bamboo flooring that we want was relatively new, John was very patiently explaining all bits and pieces related to the flooring. I also could leisurely look around his store for flooring samples without someone looking after your back like in other stores. The people in the store (Kevin and sometimes John) answered all my questions very detailed and informative. They let us take home some samples so we can decide what we want with no rush. JD Floor Store was also able to meet with our tight schedules prior to moving our furnitures into our house after we closed. The installation itself went very fast, only 1 day for the entire second floor. Everything went great and we totally love our floor. WARNING - J.D. Floor Store does not know how to install wood floors and/or they do not honor their warranty. We had J.D. Floor Store install a whole house of hardwood floor (hickory) with a Lifteime Warranty on "anything that is installation related" (quoting from the warranty). Within a year of the install we noticed that the floors had been buckling near the edges of the rooms. Not just one or two rooms, but every room in the house. We recently reached out to J.D. Floor Store in October 2016 about installing some tile in the kitchen and explained the wood floor problem at that point. They sent out a representative who was going to take measurements for our kitchen, but had no idea about the wood floor situation before he came (I guess J.D. did not tell him about that before hand). The store representative told us that the entire wood flooring had been installed incorrectly and that all of it should be replaced. The next store communication we received (from JD and Katie) indicated that they would be able to fix the flooring at no cost but only if we hired them to install the kitchen tile. They indicated that the problem we were having was not covered by the warranty (citing that natural expansion of the wood is a moisture issue, which is not covered by the original warranty). Mind you, JD nor Katie have come out to look at the flooring. We have been trying to get them or another appropriate representative to take another look for the last several months, but it seems that J.D. flooring is not willing to help us unless we buy from them. We have obtained quotes from other flooring companies for the kitchen tile, and have seen the wood floors, and they have told us that the damage to our wood floor is really an installation problem. They indicated that hickory is a floor that does not retain much moisture, and even so, that should be taken into account during install of any wood floor. J.D. Floor Store does not know how to install wood floors and/or they do not honor their warranty. Either way, I would not recommend anyone doing business with them. read more
