I appreciated the messages after I scheduled the repair, which was just a few days from when I scheduled. Thanks to this, I disconnected Apple Pay and Find My so the iPhone was ready for the battery replacement. When I arrived at my scheduled time, the man at the front desk took my phone and the case and brought it to a technician. The shop has a big and comfortably padded couch where people can wait. I listened to my favorite podcast on lifting culture and bodybuilding using a portable MP3 player. I was surprised that in just exactly half an hour later my phone was ready and the battery had been replaced without incident. I did not realize that replacement batteries are at zero when shops receive them. My iPhone was at 16 percent. The shop was gracious enough to charge the phone for 10 minutes to boost my level to 27 percent so I had plenty of charge for the trip home. I have a pocket cell phone charger. I wish I brought it. An advisory for customers to bring their portable cell phone chargers would have been helpful. Yet, I easily made it home on the charge I had with the brand new battery. I had great service and a quick repair with no problems whatsoever. Thanks guys for making this so smooth.

Apple quoted over $350 and required me to go to a local store, schedule an appointment, and wait for the repair. I could not interface with anyone at Apple, but had to click through multiple links. Meanwhile, I called New Era, and they messaged me back immediately, saying they would look into my request. They offered me a time that worked for MY schedule (within their working hours) and quoted $100 less than Apple. In addition, they offer pickup and drop-off! The owner messaged me himself and came to pick up my phone so I could keep my work-from-home meeting. Within an hour, I was at the store picking up my phone. Case repaired and no hidden fees, just the agreed-upon price! I would definitely use New Era again, but hopefully not too soon....

While I am not glued to my phone on social media, like most people, I do it a lot for making reservations, Yelp check-ins, emails and text messages to a few people. I do have a second phone, so all was completely loss, but this was my primary phone. As it was a Friday night, I reached out to a few places on Yelp and New Era was the only place that responded right away. The Doctor and I were scheduled to leave town the following week and I was trying to get the phone repair ASAP to take with me. Juan was very responsive and took care of me right away. The repair looked amazing with the screen working as intended. Unfortunately the damage was not just with the screen, but far more extensive than initally thought. Not sure what happened during that fall, but the phone would not stay connected to network, even though my second phone as well as The Doctor/Queen's were fine. I ended up needing another phone, which was needed as I wanted something smaller for going into my smaller Louis Vuittons. But the work that Juan did was amazing and fast, and the price was just right. I am going to take in my HP for a rehaul, just haven't had the time to do so yet. But I will be taking it as well as some other ones in for additional memory, etc. to improve the performance.

Either way - make of it what you will. Here is my experience: I dropped by Google Pixel 3a in the water (eek!) and needed to replace the screen. Originally, they charged $150 to repair the screen. It took about a week for the "screen" to come in and for them to install it. A week later, the "screen" they replaced, started getting splotches like it wasn't attached properly and then the screen whited out. It looked like they had stuck on a temporary screen for the fix. We returned the phone and they offered to send the screen back to where they bought it and get a new one. We confirmed they would not be charging us, especially after the screen had only worked for one week. However, after about two weeks of having my phone, they told me that they had to pay $20 in shipping for the screen (the screen is NOT a heavy item and this was definitely not expedited) and that they would need to charge me another $50 to get my phone back. At this point, my mistake, I should have just bought another phone. All in all - this has been a nightmare experience, I have been without my phone for a month and for what seemed like a simple fix, has turned into a costly project. I would say do your research and find another place as there are a ton of other cell phone places around.

Within 2 days, it was working just like new, and the owner sent me on my way with a recommendation on how to avoid the issue in the future. Expect an efficient repair experience from someone who is rarely stumped by a mechanical problem. I had zero issues with the gentleman's temperament primarily because I read the room on how he has run his business for decades.
