I am sharing this so others clearly understand how billing is handled by this office…read more We were required to pay thousands of dollars upfront for my son's oral surgery before anything was even submitted to insurance. Ms. Doshi took me to a separate room and required that I pay the entire amount before the procedure. This was not presented as an estimate or a temporary hold--it was collected in full at the time of service. Afterward, the office submitted the claims to insurance, which processed them and determined that our actual patient responsibility was a little over $100. Despite being an in-network provider and having received payment from insurance, the office made no effort whatsoever to reconcile our account or refund the excess amount collected. For more than six months, I made repeated attempts to resolve this directly with Ms. Doshi and the office through phone calls, emails, text messages, and a detailed written complaint. Delta Dental representatives also informed me that they made multiple attempts to contact the office regarding this matter. Despite all of these efforts, there was no response, no follow-through, and no accountability. I even spent hours working with Delta Dental to help resolve claim processing issues that should have been handled by the office's billing department. No patient should have to do that. At one point, after receiving no response to any of my communications, I went to the office in person simply to ask about the refund that was owed. Rather than addressing the issue, the office staff were rude and criticized me for discussing the matter where other patients could hear, expressing concern that others would become aware of what was happening. Ironically, while they ignored months of communications from both me and Delta Dental regarding the refund, they were very concerned that other patients might learn how they handled billing matters. Their billing practices are plainly unethical. The office collected payment from us upfront, later accepted payment from our insurance company, and still refused to acknowledge or reconcile our account, issue the refund, or communicate with us. I ultimately had to file a formal balance billing complaint with Delta Dental and a complaint with the Georgia Board of Dentistry to pursue a resolution, and I am prepared to consult an attorney if necessary. As for the dental care itself, my son underwent two surgeries performed by this doctor, but unfortunately neither resolved the underlying problem. Transparency, responsiveness, and basic accountability were completely absent throughout this entire process. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend that patients stay away from this practice.

He explained the entire process to me and was able to get me in the next morning at the Marietta office. Due to health concerns and current medications I'm on, I was very uneasy about IV sedation. The staff at Marietta was nothing short of amazing. I had 2 surgery techs that were so nice and patient with me. The nurse was also very nice and the whole experience went very smoothly. I had concerns about pain afterwards due to PTSD from my wisdom teeth. I felt heard and well educated on what to expect. My husband was my ride and we had our 4 year old son with us. They were very patient with us and understanding that he was my husbands wingman for the day. They even let my son pick a prize in the prize box which he was static about. Overall I am very happy with how smoothly everything went. I will say even the billing and payment was explained well and I felt like there was no surprises. I have a few more procedures that will need to be done in the future and will definitely be using Dr. Dicky again.

The Problem occurred when I was told I would be responsible for all charges not paid by my insurance. Dr. Brunner accepted my Met Life Insurance, which has a contractual fee schedule for services provided. After Dr. Brunner became aware of this he change the practice name to Bruner Bio Health... I assume this was to get out of the contracts with Fee Schedule Insurance companies so he could charge his much higher standard fees. Only after my meeting with him did he agree to accept my insurance fee schedule and did complete the implant procedure at the fee schedule prices.

Next he starts complaining about my "behavior", by which he meant the shrieking, which was no doubt being heard by the other customers, and wanted to give me a general anesthetic despite me having a condition which makes general anesthesia dangerous. He pooh-poohed my concerns and said he'd never had a problem. I reiterated that I had subcortical white matter lesions and asked what his follow-up period was and he wouldn't answer. Then he went on about how I would never be able to cope with the sound of the drill if this was my attitude to needles and how I needed to be asleep, and I kept pointing out I have no problem with needles just with agonizing pain when they are rammed in and drills don't worry me in the slightest. He didn't listen to one word I said. I left. The painless yet impacted tooth he was supposed to extract is still there. An hour after the needles were jammed in - my whole lower jaw was numb on the outside but not on the inside where the tooth is. For all his stabbing and ramming he hadn't managed to numb the area. God knows the agony I would had suffered had I stayed and continued to refuse a general. His performance seemed designed to have me begging for a general. Today my jaw won't open more than half an inch. That's how hard he rammed the needles in. I've been to dentists before. I have no problem with needles. I am having real trouble believing a qualified oral surgeon with mostly excellent reviews can't understand the phrase "it hurts", can't numb a jaw and can't put in a needle slowly enough that a person can eat the next day. When I left my husband was surprised to see me so quickly as he knew there hadn't been enough time for the topical to take effect, let alone have anything else done. There were two other young women in the waiting room too. Perhaps one of them became Dr Wall's special girl that day. I sure failed my audition.

When it came down to correcting this mistake Karen Mills attempted to but was literally unable to perform routine Root Canal. She had me come back and forth to her office for over 3 months! Then after 3 months Karen Mills finally decides to refer me to someone who actually knew how to perform a Root Canal. I didn't even know that was an option or I would have ask her to do that after a few weeks. Why did I have to go through all that pain for all those months for Karen Mills to experiment on me knowing she didn't have the skills to do a routine /basic root canal. I finally got the problem taken care of in a matter of minutes by an endodontist. After speaking with him I found out that a lot of dentists(including Karen Mills) don't use a Dental Dam(mouthpiece in mouth) when performing root canals and is suppose to prevent materials from going in area where tooth is. Karen Mills didn't use a Dental Dam and that's what caused me all that chaos. After I found this out I had no choice but to report her to the Georgia Board Of Denistry. They found Karen Mills negligent and she was forced to go through more training and fined $1000.00. Nothing for the victim.
