We were visited the day after we called their office and were offered an exceptional bid for the job. We were advised that NAPCO would stand by this bid, even if the job took longer than they estimated. At the same time, if the job took less than the estimated time, the price would be reduced accordingly. The two man crew arrived every morning on time, made sure everything in the house was covered and protected and completed the job a full half day earlier than the estimated time. Instead of asking for a reduction in the price we asked if they could use the additional half day to paint a small bathroom. Not only did they complete that job, but the final price was still reduced from the original estimate. The house was immaculate when the job was done and the crew even helped in relocating some furniture. That is a big deal and must be complemented. His rates are fair and he never overcharged for his time, also a trait worthy of praise. The problem which is too large to ignore is that the new roof over the sun deck leaks as badly or worse than the one he replaced. I saw the work as he was progressing and it appeared that everything was right, but the first time it rained everything got soaked. This may be the fault of the materials. He offered to check his work and sprayed the roof with a hose, which appeared to hold, but under real life conditions it leaks. I wish I could offer a better review. A phone call to Lance letting him know that it leaked bafter the first real rain went unanswered. The update is that Lance returned and reworked the roof after it proved to leak worse than ever. He replaced the sheeting and the wiggleboard to which it is fastened. Result was a roof that leaks as bad as it did before he redid it, which was worse than it had leaked before he ever reroofed the deck. Conclusion: roofing is not his forte. I give him credit for coming back to redo his work. Unfortunately it is not an effective roof, even still.

In his defense, Lance did come back and try to make things right. But, he failed to do so. In fact, when it rains (like right now) the roof provides a lovely cascade that runs from one end of the deck to the other. My upholstered deck furniture is soaking wet as is the rug, floor, and everything else. After Lance's 'repair' the deck is completely unusable when it rains. We will never hire him again.

I have found gaps, a floorboard chipped, and ones that obviously just weren't laid in line with the others. I was also pretty unhappy with the quality of the floor material - but since I selected it from their options, that's on me (although they told me that they really only had one brand option which was this Cali bamboo vinyl) Photos attached. When they did my closets, the guy only came after hours and he was basically drinking the entire time. He was nice enough and did a great job on the closets, just very unprofessional. I panicked and picked up what I could and then covered the area in baking powder, leaving myself a disgusting trail to deal with when I came home from work. I was reliving my horror story to my co-worker when they recommended Frank's to get the carpets cleaned professionally. I've never had a professional carpet cleaning done while I still lived in a location, but I was just saying that my youngest son is always on the floor with his legos and toys and that I was completely disgusted that he would be coming into contact with any dog poop residue from any failed attempt at cleaning I might have tried. I got on the phone with Franks around 10:30. When I asked about availability, they told me their carpet tech was going to be gone on vacation for the next week and that he was completely booked for the day. I don't know if it was the panic and anxiety in my voice, or magic carpet angels that helped me, but they looked again at the schedule and asked if I was flexible to get home and let them in about an hour. When I got to my home I was greeted by their carpet techs and they got to work, right away. They were in and out in about 30 minutes total. While they were there, they did both of my son's bedrooms and I asked if they could make a sweep in my own room as well since they were already there. The carpets looked absolutely amazing when they were done. Despite what I had done with the baking soda, everything was cleaned so well, it smelled and looked like new carpet. Price was not my immediate concern, but when I received my bill, I thought it was very reasonable. I would recommend Franks for carpet cleaning in Napa and I will definitely keep their number on hand for any future disasters.
