See previous reviews because nothing has changed. Today (9/11/24) I ordered a 7 piece whole wing with fries and a drink. Flavors were " Who dat Cajun" and "Mad lemon". Listen the Who day Cajun is NOT for the weak, it is good and hot and was seasoned to perfection! The Mad lemon is like regular hot with lemon pepper seasoning and it is just as good! The wings were a good size, made to order and the fries are crinkle cut( my favorite type of frozen fries) and the fries are seasoned. I don't know who prepares my order, but please don't ever leave because this order gave me my hot wing fix! Definitely will return and hope to receive the same great service and food. read more

I have been going to JD's for a while now, about 12 years and I have never been disappointed in the flavor, the cook quality, nor the customer service. The food here was amazing! I was trying to find a new wing place near my house and JD's came up in my search. The customer service over the phone was good and the lady that answered all my questions. YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE ABOUT A PLACE??? KIND EMPLOYEES!!!! I swear. That'll win me over in a damn heartbeat. I had never been to JD's before --but my husband had brought me some wings home from there before and I loved them. I was a little intimidated because I didn't know what the heck to order and the man behind the register was so patient and informative and friendly that I already plan on going back JUST for that. But let me tell you about the wings -- we got their 10 of their Buffalo (medium) wings and then 10 Honey Love (mild) wings and booooooooy were they perfection. They were fresh and delicious and mostly flats so it really must've been my lucky day lol!!! This might seem like a small thing (but it's not to me), but their ranch was fire, too! I can't wait to go back and I'm just mad at myself for not taking any pictures first I got the wings to go but waited inside while my order was being prepared and the inside of the restaurant is just fine and there was a TV on so I could watch the game which was great! The low rating is because of the customer service experience and not the food. I called ahead, not initially on a time crunch. I had a decent size order and understand the level of effort. I was told 30 minutes. 40 minutes later I arrive, trying to be flexible with the timeframe, and was told a couple minutes and I'd be packed up. 15 minutes later I asked how much longer and was told about 5 mins. I'm pretty sure my order didn't get started until I arrived. Disappointing. I ordered 4 different flavors of wings and okra and fries. The food was absolutely delicious! While my experience didn't start well, the food did not disappoint. I had never been and assumed, due to the name, it was only take out but they do have a few tables for dining in and they had football going on the tv. Didn't look like a very clean place to eat but they had a 99 score so you'll have to decide for yourself. May have just been one of those days! read more

Perfect! I'll start by saying that I can't put my finger on what I look for in good wings. All I know is I either like them or I don't. These wings here were perfect! The raging Buffalo is what I would consider the classic horsing. This one is wonderful, fast like butter and hot sauce, perfect amount of heat! The honey love was to me like a honey bbq with some spice. Fries were delicious, could be a little crispier but overall were great. Both people that helped me were very nice. Price isn't bad for wings in todays world. I could have spent more money for way worse wings. I'll be back no doubt. read more

It's some good wings coming from here. Also, good service and reasonable pricing. My go to is the mad lemon. It's hot with lemon pepper wet. They may or may not add a little dry lemon pepper too. This was my first time going here for wings and catfish sandwich. I was impressed when I first walked through the door. The place was extremely clean and had a nice atmosphere. I ordered a 12 piece whole wings along with a catfish sandwich. The wings were fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. They have a sign up informing you if you want your wings to cook longer please inform them. I always request my wings crisp and these were amazing. The fish sandwich was fresh and delicious also. Oh wow! That Honey Love sauce! That's some good stuff! I don't usually start a review off with three exclamation marks but these wings with the Honey Love sauce were great! Dang, there's another ! The boneless wings are awesome as well. They look like they are cut and battered in house fresh and not out of a bag from the freezer. Those fresh cut fries are pretty good too. My new BEST HOT WING JOINT in Memphis... I was told by not one but three different people who came to my job and was talking about these wings. I won't lie I am not a wing person by all means, but I love me some fried chicken (don't judge) lol... my husband on the other hand can eat wings everyday three meals a day. CLEAN SEATING ROOM: not loud where you have to yell to the person next too you.. floors aren't greasy, tables were clean and weren't sticky! Lots of napkins, and a clean restroom... 2.) FRIENDLY STAFF: they take there time to explain different options and what your getting. If one person doesn't k ow they aren't afraid to ask other staff members for help... great TEAM WORK. 3.) FOOD SELECTION: not only Wings, but burgers, gizzards (don't eat them but others do), Philly cheesesteaks... 4.) HAND CUT FRIES: not burnt perfectly cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Huge huge fries lover (again don't judge) lol... 5.) THE WINGS!!!! The party wings are so HUGE they almost can't fit in your mouth for one bite, everyone I have spoken said the same thing. Steak sandwich is good. I've had both the party wings and whole. Both are super good. I can't do much heat. I get the homestyle rub or the lemon pepper. They don't let it sit so it takes like 20 minutes to get whole wings but they make it fresh. I usually just call ahead and they'll tell you how long it's going to be. Good takeout read more

Seriously, though joking aside he really welcomed us on our first visit, & told us about 60c wing Tuesday (not boneless or jumbo) 10 minimum. Customer service A+! So for $6 or add a drink & fries for extra $2.75 and you've got a full stomach. The wings were made on the spot. Lots of sauce options from mild to extremely spicy. Meaty, tasty wings! Jesse (the owner) rung us up, then went straight to the kitchen to get to work. 15 mins later we had our piping hot food. Ran with my mom and aunt to get manicures and found this hot wing spot. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. We ordered whole wings, flats and boneless. It was all so good. We also had fried green tomatoes, okra and the fresh cut fries. I have been a fan of another local wing spot but, JD's can have all my hot wing money. There was the perfect amount of sauce, the wings had crunch to them and they were BIG. I ordered a five piece and ate three, it was filling. I was so excited to see a Wing Restaurant near my home and I had to stop in and give them a try. The place was clean and had a neighborhood and community feel/decor especially with all of the writing from customers on the wall. However, the real test I wanted to know we're the wings good. I was so pleased when I took my first bite. These wings are great and the size of the wings are pretty good. The owner Jesse was very friendly and I liked that the order were made to order. The season fries were a little spicy to my liking but they were good. I don't like spicy food, so I only had the season wings. However, I hope in the near future they add Teriyaki. It's great to know there is a good wing shop near my home. I will definitely be back. read more
