Pretty good place to stop for a reasonably priced lunch in…read moreWakefield. The server seemed to know most of the customers, no doubt locals (who probably wouldn't appreciate me advertising how good this place is). It's situated on top of the store and there's a small little 'boutique' next to the cafe. They also have a patio that must have a great view in the summer. They use the bread from the Wakefield bakery down the street. I had the best grilled cheese in the world there. The store down below also sells bread from the bakery and they sell savory pies that I've never tried but look quite good.

Small restaurant-cafe above a grocery store and beside a general/dry goods store…read more I went in a group of 4 for lunch on a weekend; the restaurant was about half-full at the time. Service was pretty good and the facilities were clean. I had a "Steve Burger" with a Caesar salad (I uploaded a picture of this too) and it was pretty good. The burger had onions and bread crumbs in the patty, which I know is a deal breaker for a lot of people, but it was a pretty good burger and I had no issue with that. The Caesar was good and had lots of cheese. Everyone else was relatively happy with their lunch: another "Steve Burger," a salmon burger, and a goat-cheese, chicken pizza. I had a bottle of beer with my lunch, but someone at my table opted to have water. I have had well-water before and I have had softened water, and this was salty, softened water. I took a sip and it was really salty. I get that it is what comes out of the tap, but if your water is that salty, you should be serving bottled water or have a more sophisticated filtration system. My table-mate asked for iced-tea or lemonade, but they were out. So, overall, it was a nice lunch, nothing spectacular, but who knows how much sodium I had if the food was made with salty water. My recommendation - get a beer, I guess.
