Love this place. Came in to finally try the eggs Benedict which they only have on Sat and Sun. They had just erased it from the board. We mentioned we came for it and Chuck whipped up a new batch of sauce. It was so good.! Their pancakes are always light and fluffy, and the corned beef hash is the best I have had. Not greasy like the usual. The food is always great and we have had Nicki as our server the last 2 visits and she is wonderful. Coffee never gets cold. Quick service and very reasonable prices. Take a seat "wherever you'd like" and you'll soon understand why there's sometimes a wait, it's not for lack of hustle - the place is just too damn good for its size! Driving through Coldwater and stopped for lunch. Great retro dinner with fast, friendly and honest (waitress confided the apple cake was a bit dry and suggested an alternative) service. Heading out for a long road trip and needed a good breakfast that would last us until around 7PM, and found it here. A small, but efficient restaurant, Jeannie's brought us an outstanding meal and we both walked away feeling like we had a fulfilling breakfast, and we actually didn't eat again until 7 that night. You can tell a good diner by the amount of locals that use the place. Easy, close parking right in back, the waitress was a little straight-forward, but the cook was really friendly. Only one, very small bathroom, but does the trick and in use quite a lot. I recommend Jeannie's for everyone and will visit on our next trip. read more

This is a great home style diner in Coldwater! The atmosphere is very retro and antique, which made it truly feel like and old school diner. We came in about 45 minutes before closing and were approached right away for our drink orders, and our food came out within 15 minutes. Coffee was hot and fresh, food was exceptional, and the portions were large! I ordered sausage links and got 4, and I saw a plate going to another table with probably 6 pieces of bacon! And all for the right price. We were in and out in 40 minutes. The quality of the people, food, and the environment were all wonderful. Good food at a good price. You walk in the front doors and walk into a charming small town diner. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Service was quick and food arrived rather fast. Only negative is too many tables as you are really on top of each other. We had the only table in the back and it seemed the back door was open because it was chilly (45 degrees outside). I chose the biscuits and gravy, simple and filling; gravy was full of sausage, just enough pepper, and not greasy as so many prepared versions are.
