This is by far the best experience I have ever had getting my kitty groomed. She was groomed twice in the past and both times I was told that she was moody and mean. I decided to give up getting her groomed after that until her hairballs started getting more and more frequent that I wanted to try one last time. Jeannie is absolutely amazing at what she does! Not only is my girl's lion cut perfect, but Maris was so relaxed and happy when I took her home. Hell, she smelled so good that my other cat didn't even recognize her. This place was fabulous! I made an appointment to bring my cat in right when they opened thinking I would have to come back to pick him up in a few hours. The owner offered to take care of him right away and I was out within 45 minutes. That was extremely convenient for my schedule and calmed my nerves. I have a very timid dog who is very nervous around strange people. In fact, I once tried to have her groomed at PetSmart and they called 2 hours later to come get her because they couldn't work with her. Jeannie's was the complete opposite. Horrified by the unprofessional manner in which me and my dog have been treated by this business. Used to go to this groomers, quite often. But will no longer be taking my dog after what occurred on Friday. I brought my Pomeranian to get a a lion cut only to see she had been shaved VERY poorly and without permission. We brought her in at noon and came at the suggested time that she would be done, which was an hour after closing, but she hadn't even been started yet. We should have taken her home then, which they should have told us to do, but insisted everything would be done precisely. Which was a complete lie. All I have to say is I am extremely disappointed, considering that we paid the full price for this job. Very very upset. Never have I ever seen such a horrible and patchy groom on a dog. The people who work here are manipulative and vindictive. I have never in my life been so appalled by services rendered by a business. I cannot express with words how disgusted and enraged I am about what was done to my beautiful dog who was botched and mistreated. Do not ever go to this business. I think they hurt my dog. She once was happy and playful. Now she's skittish, sad and screeches every time I try to initially touch her. She has to sleep cuddled up to me every night in a ball because if she doesn't she will shake like crazy. I don't know what they did but I will find out and prosecute them. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

This was my first (and last) time at this place. It had good reviews on yelp so I decided to try it... I took my little Cavalier there and spoke to the groomer beforehand...I was very specific with my instructions on his haircut, I told her to cut the hair on his legs, ears, tail but to leave his body hair the same except for a little trim..my poor dog came home with his coat almost completely shaved!!! I was so mad especially after specifically telling her not to touch his coat on his back. On top of it, this is the first time my dog comes back from grooming not smelling nice, and the bottom of his paws were still black (he's a white dog) and dirty!!! I should've known when I walked into the place that it would be a bad experience...the place looked dirty and disorganized and smelled bad! Waste of my money...never again! read more

Jeannie is a cat whisperer!!! We brought our 2 large kitties here for shampoo and trim because we're not equipped to wrestle with 15 lbs of struggling MaineCoon badger. She knows how to comb out the mats without them flipping out (badly), buzzes their bellies, and returns them to us gleaming and smelling good. That's incredible considering our kitties are bigger than most of the cute little puppies there for grooming. Each kitty is done in less than 2 hours, even on a really busy day. Had been looking for a new place to take our Persian cat and so glad Jeannies was recommended to us. She offered for me to stay, and watch and after the first 5 min I knew our kitty was in good hands. Jeannie is definitely great with cats and has patience. Our cat gets upset and unhappy and she did overall well here. It's not a fancy place but in the end do you want fancy or somewhere that'll do a good job and be good to your pets. I really, really like Jeannie's Grooming. I used to bring in both my dogs to Jeannie's and thought they did a nice job but they never quite got things right. I would ask them to do specific things because my boy dog is smaller than my girl dog and every time they would end up making the boy dog look like a girl wearing a bowtie. This didn't bother me enough to stop coming because they always looked clean and trimmed well after their visit. The last 2 times, though, just made me wary to ever come back again. My girl dog, the bigger of the two, has rear dewclaws on her back paws. The first time I brought them to Jeannie's, Jeannie actually asked me about them *before* the grooming and gave me a good heads up on how they deal with them during the grooming. I really felt like she cared and I thought it was incredibly thoughtful. The time before this last time, though, despite the fact that I warned them about the dewclaws in advance, they cut both of them and had to bandage them up. They apologized and sounded very sorry and I understood but was hesitant to bring them back. The last time, though, solidified it... Again, despite being warned about the dewclaws *and* having it happen last time, they sliced open one of them and cut the other one clean off. I came to pick up my dogs to find my poor little dog shaking and terrified with bandages on both of her paws. Again, Jeannie was very apologetic, but she obviously wasn't the one who was handling my dogs. If I can't trust her staff to be as careful as she was on that first visit, I can't trust their business. One accident Imcan forgive. Progressively worse accidents of the same type and same mistake are too serious for me to just ignore... read more

Matter of opinion perhaps but taking your dog to a vet after going here did not make me happy. Should've known better when I saw an open pizza box with leftovers sitting at the receptions desk with cats sleeping nearby and walking around. Reminded me of a college friends gross apartment. When I called to ask why my dog may be whining and uncomfortable to walk, they asked me to bring him back to secrete his glands. When it persisted, all they could say was sorry and here's a coupon to a vet. No refund, no sympathy, no discount for future visits or anything. Went to the vet who said "who in the world does your grooming?" and told us not to take him back. I've used Jeannie's Grooming 3 times so far. I brought my boxer in and they are speedy!. I dropped off my pup in the morning and he's all clean and ready to go in 3 hours or so. They always have time for my pip and the price is the same as big box stores. They do the works for my pup - bath, nails, ears, teeth bushing. Not to mention you and in out in a jiffy! read more

I was referred to this groomer by my uncle who apparently has great experiences here. When I called to make my appointment, I inquired about the rabies vaccine and if they needed copies or the original. They told me they didn't require it I decided to still schedule because my uncle RAVES about how great they are. I took my 2 dogs here for a basic wash, and I wanted them to really focus on deshedding. When I was called 45 minutes later I was surprised at how quick they got everything done. When I arrived I everything seemed fine. No comments were made, they said everything went great. Then when I put them in the car I realized they were still damp, and the shampoo had a musty smell to it. And on top of all that , I lifted my hand up and it was covered in hair. I was extremely disappointed, and the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because my uncle still loves it. Maybe it was an off day? I went to another groomer and found out that my experience was a bad one, and I won't be returning. read more

We are first time pet owners and this is the only place we have used but very happy with it! 2 years ago I had major surgery and our cat had gotten a really upset stomach and I couldn't handle cleaning her up and they took her same day and took great care of her cleaning her up. Today we went back for a bath and a trim and they did an awesome job as well. Very friendly and made it more comfortable for my 7 yr old to leave her best best buddy there. I love this place! They groom the dogs and cats in clear view. My senior dog is blind and has cushings disease so he is very lumpy and I get him shaved, especially in the summer so he is cool. They do a great job and I feel 100% comfortable that they will take care of Smuckers. read more

I've been going to Jeannie's Grooming for a couple years. All my visits have been positive, however, my visit today was unacceptable. My dog had a 12noon appointment to be groomed. When I handed my dog over, I was told I'd be called in 2 hours. This is customary, and my previous visits have taken less than 1.5 hours. After 2 hours and 20 minutes, I entered the waiting area. When I asked if my dog was ready, they said she hadn't been started yet. My dog sat all this time and didn't even get bathed. I paid Jeanne $50 and took my dog home. How disappointing; I live in Phoenix and gladly made the drive to Jeanne's, but now my relationship has been damaged and I cannot return. When I asked for an explanation, I was told the groomer got behind. I cannot and will not return here. read more

We had been to only one groomer before and each visit I never had that warm fuzzy feel. When my normal groomer couldn't get my dog in I decided to try something new and got a last minute appointment at Jeannie's Grooming. I felt warmth when I entered the door. When we walked in there were 4 or 5 smiling groomers welcoming us. The deciding factor for me was when we brought Lola home she was excited and playful. I adopted a cat from the animal shelter, and the poor thing was in rough shape. Mats, oily gunk all over her, just a real mess. I was having trouble finding groomers who would even bathe cats, let alone cats with claws (like mine). The wonderful ladies at Jeannie's were wonderful, and so affordable! They even washed my cat a couple times since she was so dirty. They also let me drop her off before my appointment and pick her up at lunch. I'm so glad I found them! I asked to speak to someone else and she put me on hold for overy 5 minutes..I hung up... Decided to give it one more try, this time got someone else, and again she was dis interested in answering my questions ....she acted like she could care less if they had my business....Never got my very simple questions answered...nor was I even offered an appointment.. I absolutely love Jeannie and her staff. There is a reason she has been in business in Gilbert for 15 plus years, she is amazing! She treats every animal that comes through her doors as if they are her own. My mother and I started taking our dogs to Jeannie almost 15 years ago and they never saw another groomer after their first experience at Jeannie's. After they both passed and I moved out of the nest and had a dog of my own, I knew right where to go for grooming. My mom still takes her new dog there once a month for grooming. The sheer talent and loving nature fo Jeannie and her staff even won over my fiance, which is hard to do because he doesn't trust anyone with his baby girl Steven, aka his fat pigdog Pitbull lol. Dropped my dog off to get groomed and after 4 hours went to pick him up. He had been washed and stuck in a cage the entire time. I ended up taking him home because I was so enraged. Do not book an appointment for an animal if you are too busy and are going to put them in a kennel the entire time. Not to mention, soaking wet! Jeannie is excellent with cats. I have two Maine Coon mixes that need to be shaved each spring, and they always come back looking great. One of our cats is usually very uncooperative with grooming (shocking, I know) but they are very gentle and patient with him. They really are the best I've found in the Phoenix area, and their fees are very reasonable. read more

I've taken our Yorkies to Jeannie's 3 times and each time the price was different and I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour longer than the appointed pick up time. The price was 40, 45 and then 41. ???????? The groomer who did our dogs was great, she's very nice and did a great job on their cuts. I think the problem is Jeannie herself, since it was she who told me when to come back and then made excuses as to why it would be longer. In this busy world we live in it's tough to balance everything so when I was told the pick up time would be X and then to arrive and find that I'd have to wait a substantial amount of time, it was very frustrating for me and caused me to play catch up/hurry up the rest of the day - again this happened 3 times!!!! Because of the inconsistencies in price and a complete lack of regard for their customers I won't be back which is too bad because the groomer did do a nice job. read more
