Absolutely ridiculous!!! Zero care in the world for mobile orders to-go!! Zero!! This isn't the first time that I'm reviewing this restaurant and it deserves negative stars! We eat inside pretty often and are happy with the food and service, but EVERY SINGLE TIME that we order to-go - the food tastes and looks like the bottom of your feet after a 21 mile hike!! This is ridiculous and the absolute last time that we ever order to-go food.

Seated right away. Waited on right away. Ordered side salad. Served with rotten small tomatoes. Grilled chicken plate was bland and dry as were the sweet potato fries and veggies. Pizza wasn't bad but it was dry as well needed more sauce. The highlight was the bread that came on the salad. After we told the waitress the grilled chicken was not good, the fries were bland as were the veggies, and she could see the wife was no longer eating it after a few bites, she apologized but when the bill came, she charged full price. So just beware. We will not return.

The food was very tasty! Portions were generous! The waiter was young and inexperienced with very little energy or initiative. A cute little restaurant with a small bar. It's pretty because it used to be the local car repair or auto mechanic shop back in the day and they've kept the big garage door ! The food is reasonably priced. We ordered the garlic bites with marinara, club sandwich with fries (delicious but the menu says Texas toast and it was actually thin sandwich bread), the B&J burger which was very good and giant (only $10.99!), and the Pasta Breaux Bridge (chicken & tasso cream sauce & penne pasta). The pasta was good, but we expected a little more of it for $17. The house salad was fresh! Overall, we had a great experience!

Wanted something different from my usual go to restaurant when I'm in town visiting my mom. Restaurant is in a cute old brick building with tons of metal signs. Service was excellent. It was refreshing to be seated promptly and greeted within 5 min of sitting down. I'm so used to staffing shortages and slow service. I started off with soup of day, corn and crab chowder. It was delicious and the roasted corn is a nice touch. I ordered the Étouffée/fried fish wrap with French fries and my mom ordered the special which was Étouffée and fried fish over a bed of rice with a roll and potato salad. They were basically the same dish but we loved them both. We ended our dinner with bobash cake. It was so good it reminded me of a little debbies Swiss cake roll. Will definitely keep this place in mind when I'm town.

Food was mediocre at best. Very small servings. Not enough wait staff. Definitely not worth the money...

Well, if you believe my mom's theory that anyone named Durand is related to us. To be fair, I have already found one actual relative using this exact logic, so who knows about ol' SMD. Anyway, this place is insanely popular, requires reservations, and there is a reason for that. The food is awesome. Gumbo? Awesome. Etouffee? Awesome. Steaks? Damn great. The pork chop? Hell yes. And then there is the Breaux Bread. Get away from me, Satan. That stuff is way too good. Like, lawd have mercy, why would you do this to me good. They also usually have live music on the weekends, often a solo singer, and every time we have been the music has been great. It adds to the whole atmosphere without taking over the room. The staff is super fun, the cocktails are great, they have a really good bourbon selection, and the wine list is better than you might expect. This is not some little place surviving because it happens to be in Breaux Bridge. Sydnie Mae is a legitimately great restaurant that would be great anywhere. If you find yourself in the Breaux, get to Sydnie Mae. And if anyone happens to know whether Sydnie Mae Durand is actually related to me, let me know. My mom is probably already convinced.

We opened the door and were greeted by the live music, we got a table quickly. I like the way they give you ice water in a large container that you can pour yourself. The appetizer we tried was the fried eggplant with lump crab, and it was excellent, definitely the best eggplant dish I've had. I went the chicken and waffles for the main, waffles crisp outside tender inside and sweet but not overly sweet. The chicken had a nice spicy kick, steen syrup would have put this over the top, but got regular syrup, however this was still very tasty. The star was definitely the omelette! Wow this was special light airy like a soufflé with lump crab meat so amazing and delicious, the addition of the biscuit with the strawberry syrup and the grits made this a complete experience, definitely recommend this. Great meal to start off the New Year.

There's nothing wrong with being a hole in the wall business, because I've found that those are usually the hidden gems; however, there must be a point where you need to take a step back & put yourself into the customer's shoes & see what they see. Had I not read the good reviews about the food, I would've walked right back out. I just kept an open mind & gave it a chance. It really needs a good de-cluttering, organizing & cleaning - there was just stuff everywhere. One can only think that if it looks that way to the public, how does it look where the food is prepared? The food wasn't bad though; I had the smothered ribs which were really tender, and my husband enjoyed the red beans. I really wanted to like the corn but it was a little too spicy for me, which is what you'd expect for Cajun food of course! Glenda & her employee were both very nice. Although I'm not from this area, I don't think I'd return if I was until it had a much needed overhaul.

I've been eating this boudin since I was a kid. The quality and flavor haven't been compromised over the years at all! Each time I come back home, there seems to be another new boudin spot to try, with fancy fillings and a mascot/logo similar to Charlie Ts, but no matter how many I try, Charlie Ts always takes the number one spot! Their formula is just SPOT ON! The service is always great, although I do miss seeing Mr. Charlie in the store. There's nothing like seeing the man who fixed your boudin as a kid still doing the thing he loves! I'm happy for his retirement, but he is forever a part of my childhood! The store is very clean every time I visit, and there's ample parking out front. You will get more options the earlier you go. Trust me, everybody knows Charlie's is the best, so you don't want to wait until the afternoon when there are only a couple boudin balls left. Go early. I personally prefer their classic links and the regular pork boudin balls. The formula is perfect and doesn't really need the bells and whistles, to be honest, but if you prefer a party in your mouth, try the pepperjack cheese or even the spinach and cheese eggroll! They will not disappoint! And I can't forget, their cracklin is the BOMB! If I visit Breaux Bridge and don't bring back some cracklin to my mom in California, she gets cranky! Lol. I also appreciate the frozen options! I was able to fly some frozen boudin home and share with friends who'd never had boudin before. They loved it, and I'm glad I got to introduce them to the BEST :)
