Great everything was fantastic. The guacamole was really good. Very chunky the salsa not so much. It needed pico to it and you have to pay extra for that but I had fajitas steak steak and chicken. It was good. I had the burritos. It was shredded beef burritos with cheese sauce. It was awesome. Yours was 10. I think mine was 999 or something but after it was all over, I paid almost $42. Yeah, you had ordered a iced tea, guacamole, small and pico and it added up to $42 watch which order I guess good tea good food service there was only one person there it was very slow but she was doing her best atmosphere was cool no music pretty quiet other than customers hollering for service. I will go back and try it at a better time instead of 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I have to give it a chance with the service in the atmosphere. We were taken to the back of the restaurant that was kind of weird. We had to walk through 3/4 of the restaurant to get to where they see this. It was good I will go back. read more

Called in an order for pickup. Ordered beef fajitas dinner, chile relleno dinner, and chips and queso. For a total of $50 with tip. The fajitas were burnt and that's all you tasted. The chile relleno dinner was so greasy and they didn't even give us the rice or beans. The queso was just okay. read more

They have a lunch menu that has a good variety of items to choose from and it is a very good value. The food is good and the service is quick. The owner was in the middle of the dining area (working) making sure all the customers were happy with the food and service! We had the make your own combo of two of the menu items. One meal was a beef taco and a beef tostada with a chili toreado on the side. The other meal was chalupa and beef enchilada. Both meals came with rice and beans. The taco, tostada and enchilada were packed full of seasoned ground beef. The amount of food and quality make their lunch menu items a really good deal! The table salsa was okay, but they have a couple of other sauces that kick up the heat. They have a green sauce that's not too hot and a screaming hot red sauce that will meet your need for heat. But, the Chili toreado always completes the meal! This is the best Mexican restaurant along high 51 between Broken Arrow and Coweta. If you read my previous review you will know I think very highly of this place. It's very disheartening to have to downgrade from a five star review in which I was actually blown away at the quality of the food the first few times trying this place. That type of quality that is practically unprecedented around here. Entrees like the pollo chorizo were among the best I've ever had. Jefes was a well deserved five stars.   Came back one Sunday and everything from the food to the service was terrible. Couldn't get anyone to wait on our table and everything extremely slow with hardly anyone in the restaurant. Sent the margarita back after taking a few sips. Not going to highlight everything that was not passible. Almost everything we ordered was not fresh and absolutely no effort was put into the food by the kitchen including simple things like the salsa. What is the common link? There was no manager onsite and the place was being ran by a waitress and cooks who were putting out minimal effort. Was extremely disappointed and had desire to return.  Happened to be working down the road from Jefes one day during the week and decided to give it another shot. Things had to had to be better this time around, right? Wrong. The service was slow once again and to make everything even more perplexing the manager which I highly respected was onsite serving cr*ppy food. Utterly perplexed. Everything from the chips and salsa to the entree was not fresh and of poor quality. The lunch special for that day was street tacos and they were actually the worst street tacos that I can remember having in years. Was actually shocked this establishment could serve this quality of food. The tortillas were not fresh, the meat was dry and flavorless. Even the radishes were not fresh. I had the chorizo torta with french fries, chips and salsa. I am the type of guy that finds a hair in his food, tosses it on the ground and keeps eating. I am not a picky person nor do I ever complain. But, that chorizo had so. Much. Salt in it, it felt like it was burning my tongue. I had to stop eating it. Literally all I could taste was salt. I was about half way done eating the fries and I put one in my mouth and it had something on it. I don't know what it was but I had such a fowl taste in my mouth that I immediate spit everything out on to my plate and went to the bathroom and gagged for a minute. I had to thoroughly wash my mouth out and eat a cookie, while still feeling like I was going to get sick, just to get the taste out. It tasted like manure smells. I know that sounds weird but that is exactly what came to mind when I took that bite and then exhaled. Something was terribly wrong with my meal and I can assure you I will never eat here again. Love the atmosphere! Went for a surprise party hosted upstairs and the service was great. We Had a drink at the bar while we waited for other guests to arrive and the drinks were really good. Hard to find great customer service sometimes but you will definitely get that here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! My Husband and I brought my elderly parents to Broken Arrow to visit family. They really craved Mexican food, so we looked online and saw that they were open and drove 15-20 minutes to go here. The hours were shown as 11am-9pm and we arrived at 1:30pm. When we entered, there was no one at the door to seat us, though I could see one waiter at the entry of the kitchen. I don't know what he was doing, but even when the "ring" from the front door opening...he never bothered to turn around to look at us. After at least 5 minutes, I walked in the bar, and female staff member there told me to give her a few minutes...so we waited more. (we noticed there was no one in the bar and only one table of people sitting in the restaurant). After another 5-10 minutes she came to the front, not welcoming...not even friendly, nor smiling. It was as if we were "bothering" her. The waiter was with her. We thought they finally were going to seat us...but we were told they had 30 tables to clean. What??? They hadn't been cleaning them all along? They couldn't clean one...ONLY ONE...for us to sit down? My 90 year old Father really needed to sit down!!! I really was appalled. I managed restaurants for 15 years and I would fire any of my staff that treated customers that way. I have never seen staff be so unwelcoming, so lazy. They walked away after telling us that they had 30 tables that needed cleaning...and so of course we left. I really cannot imagine that the owner and/or manager of this place really would allow this. Unbelievable. I HIGHLY would suggest people eat somewhere else. They may be friendly when they have lots of customers, but when we interrupt them when they are trying to get things straightened after lunch (because they left all those dirty tables DURING lunch-gross!) , don't BOTHER them, even if they are open! It was hurtful to be treated that way. Our time waiting to be seated is valuable. Why treat us as if we didn't matter and our time doesn't either? read more

So far I'm just going off of initial experience. When I walked in I was asked to wait for a few minutes which is understandable. After a few minutes I just ask if I can sit at the bar and place a takeout order. They show me to the bar area where I order a quick beer and browse the menu. The server asked if I wanted some chips and salsa which "yes of course", haha. I sat and waited, no chips and salsa even after asking again, no chips and salsa. I sat for 15 mins...nothing. I told the server I was ready to order, he said give me just a minute and walked away. He never came back by the way. I had to flag down another server, they said they'd be right back. Let's just cut the story short, eventually after telling 5 different people I was ready, waiting for 30 mins, I finally got to place my order. I'm annoyed and confused. Went here for the first time, service was a little slow, tortillas not homemade and unimpressive. we ordered happy hour margaritas from the menu they were horrible so I did not drink mine. Went to pay and they were full price told them we ordered the happy hour one and pointed to it on the menu and they told us they aren't doing happy hour anymore. Best restaurant around! We've been here a few times over the past 6 months and this place is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT! The food is amazing! The drinks are amazing! And yes the service is amazing! The chances are good that you will be greeted and seated by the owner when you walk in. The quality leaves me with the feeling that the owners personally QA each plate and drink before it goes to the table. Needless to say I'm just really impressed with this place. Be sure to ask for your detailed ticket while sitting at the table. They will not inform you of all the add'l charges. If your table has 6 or more people (even if theres two separate families & 2 tickets) a 20% gratuity is added. when you ask to add a tip they don't even mention they already charged you the 20%. 50% off Margaritas DOES NOT include Strawberry. This place is so great. It is owned by the oldest brother & is truly a family run business. They were so busy the night we went but we stayed happy with their wonderful margarita's. The younger son came out & told us the family history & their work ethic. A mother raising her 3 sons. The food & drinks are great. The prices are good also. Make no mistake, this place changed my life. It's definitely safe to say that there are better Mexican restaurants out there, but this place opened my eyes. I have a background in south Texas, where frankly the Mexican food is unparalleled anywhere north of Corsicana. However, after having this place, my eyes and heart were opened to see what a small, local place like Jefe's is capable of. And that is producing a taco platter that would make even the original person names Jefe wonder if they were authentic or not. Again, these are nowhere near the best tacos but man... probably the best in the Tulsa area. Highly recommend the chicken taco dipped in the spicy salsa. Mm. I just audibly groaned while typing that when I was thinking about how good it was. The sides are hard to mess up at a Mexican restaurant, so there should be no surprise when I say that the rice and beans are playing at a competitive level. But when you combine that with the tacos... this place plays like Rory in any tournament that isn't a major, and that is almost flawless. 15/1 would recommend. Hooah. read more

After seeing 5 star rating, we drove 22 miles to try this new restaurant. Nice drive, not so nice meal. I ordered the make your own, having a pork tamale and chili relleno . Both asked to have chili red sauce on top. Relleno was freshly home made and would have been fine without the ground beef with a spoon full of red sauce. Poorly done by hiding the flavor of relleno. Tamale was Home made but regardless I wouldn't tell anyone! Thick tasteless masa with just a spoonful of pork. Beans and rice were worth eating again. read more
