My dental hygienist Bree is the best..she really listen to my concerns and has helped me understand the importance of good dental care. This office is the whole package.

Unfortunately, my experience with the office receptionist, Jay, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. When I called, Jay was initially very informative, answering all my questions regarding insurance, the types of fillings used, and how payments would be handled--an important factor for me since the cost of my treatment would use up my entire insurance allowance for the year. After our conversation, I felt reassured enough to move forward with scheduling an appointment. However, I was informed that the office requires a 25% deposit to schedule, with payment in full required on the day of the procedure. Since the total cost was around $2,000, I asked if they would be willing to offer a payment plan for the remaining balance after the deposit. Jay immediately said no, which I understood, and I politely explained that I would need to find an office that could accommodate a payment plan. At this point, Jay snickered and told me she felt like I had just wasted her time. Shocked by her response, I asked if she thought it was unreasonable for a patient to inquire about a surgical procedure and insurance coverage before committing. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she raised her voice and told me it was, in fact, a waste of time--adding that there was already a note in my file stating I was "going somewhere else." The only reason I had requested my X-rays was to obtain an additional quote, which is a completely reasonable and responsible step for a patient. Jay continued to talk over me as I attempted to clarify, forcing me to confirm her name and let her know that her behavior was incredibly unprofessional. If this is the treatment a potential patient receives from the front desk, it raises serious concerns about the professionalism and patient care within the rest of the office. Is this type of behavior accepted or even fostered by the practice? It was a huge red flag and left me with zero confidence in trusting this office with my dental care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, especially when making important healthcare decisions. I would strongly advise anyone considering this office to be cautious and ensure they feel comfortable with the level of professionalism before proceeding.

Many, myself included, couldn't recall the password for our make a smile account and it's necessary for some reason for check-in. The whole process was so anxiety inducing, especially with a scared 1.5 year old. The toys in the waiting room were broken and there were food crumbs all over the kids table. In the back rooms, there are no partitions between the children's chairs, so the other family that was back there next to us overheard and even chimed in on our conversation with the dentist which has to be a HIPAA violation. The staff was friendly and I feel like they did a decent job with the dental care itself. Overall, there are ways to make small improvements that would make such a big difference for the kids and parents to have a much better experience. For example - I walked into Cold Springs Dental, which is where we're taking my child now, and there was a lady at the front desk who said "Are you (name)? I'll get you checked in!" And that was literally it. Simple, straightforward, painless.

I would definitely not recommend bringing your child here if you want them to feel comfortable it…read morelooks more like you're walking into a dungeon tax preparation office than a children's dentist not one childlike thing on the walls to make them feel comfortable.
