I don't do reviews very often, but this one is warranted. I was seeing Dr. Jones for cleaning and exam. No problem with the dentist at all. When I arrived for my last appointment, the hygienist told me I was due for X-rays. I told her I was fine with that as long as they would be covered by my insurance. I told her I did not want to pay for anything outside of what my insurance allows. I actually said this twice- once when she said she needed to do them, and again when she was doing them. she She said ok. I received a bill for $150. for X-rays. I called the office and they told me that these particular X-rays would not be covered by my insurance. I explained that I had communicated TWICE that I did not want to pay out of pocket. I also told the person on that phone call that my husband, who is in the same plan I am, had his X-rays done and he was completely covered. The person on the phone yelled at me, saying it was MY responsibility to know what was covered. Fast forward to my new dentist. When I called and made the appointment, I explained what had happened at Dr. Jones' office, and the receptionist at the new dentist said" no problem, we will call and verify your insurance and make sure we do t do anything you're not covered for". I got full X-rays, just like my husband did at his dentist. No charges, no bills. They refused to work with me, my insurance, and blamed me for the charge. Needless to say, I'm not paying it, and I'll certainly be warning everyone not to use this dentist! read more

When I first started seeing Dr Jones I was not very confident with my smile. I rarely showed my teeth. I also have a huge fear of the dentist due to horrible experiences in the past. Dr Jones and his staff have been so welcoming and assuring. They remain calm and positive of which puts me at ease. And it's genuine. After a lot of work done by Dr Jones I am now grinning ear to ear today! I'm crying happy tears while smiling to look at how wonderful my teeth look. I am so happy to find this dentist!! I moved to Placerville 2011 with my family and this office has served us well. Dr. Jones fixed and repaired my 80-year-old mother's teeth which were complex to say the least. Both my kids have come for cleaning and sealants. Both have no cavities. He works on my teeth and my husband. The office is clean and peaceful. I had no insurance and they told me about Discount Dental plans, which has saved me so much. I really appreciate this dentist. If I am late, I always call Trisha, she is cooperative, and we work something out. read more

Don't come here if you have an infected wisdom tooth/abscess. Dr. Jones will just prescribe antibiotics and norco over and over again, not even consider an X-ray, SHAVE the tooth, just about anything to never actually address the problem. Went to them for months with this issue only to be told it would "go away with antibiotics" each time even though I had been there twice for antibiotics before (you'd think the antibiotics might not be working by now). This kind of "treatment" also led to many stomach problems that I am still having to deal with to this day. Even asked if my teeth could be pulled but was literally told no because they had already grown in? What kind of dentist goes against a clients request for a tooth pulled? I literally had to go to another dentist to get an x-ray and finally be told they needed to be removed ASAP. Loved also getting bills in the mail for visits when I specifically asked in the office if I owed anything. Don't come here if you have any kind of dental ailment, you'll have better luck going literally anywhere else. read more

I used to love this dentist but they were very rude to me the last time I was there back in 2013. I had been going to them since 2007. Back when I had double coverage I was treated like a queen now that I don't anymore I was treated way differently.. They told me they billed me for nitrous oxide and I clearly said to the receptionist that "I never got billed for nitrous oxide" she then had an attitude and fired back " oh you were billed for it you just didn't pay for it" EXCUSE ME! So because I didn't pay for something I didn't even know I was billed for I had to pay upfront which I was willing to do so there wouldn't be no misunderstanding. Once I did that I came to the check up dr jones started lecturing me about my teeth and how hard they worked to get my mouth healthy the last time I was there... Excuse me mr.hot shot don't act like you don't reap the benefits off my insurance and not only that the money I pay you out of pocket if you don't like working on teeth don't practice dentistry. The poor condition of my teeth keeps you living the lavish lifestyle lol anyways I'll never go back after the way I was treated. Just because people don't have a lot of money to pay dental bills right away doesn't mean you should treat them poorly people with fixed incomes are important too. This office is very friendly and very helpful. When I didn't have any dental insurance, Dr. Jones accepted my son and did thousands of dental work and allowed me to make payments of whatever I could afford, and I tried to pay for the entire procedure but he only allowed me to pay for half of it. He has been taking care of all 3 of my kids now since 2009 and he and his staff are absolutely wonderful with my kids! I highly recommend this dentist and we will never go anywhere else! read more
