This is an update to an earlier review I put on here. I was contacted by the dealership and they have resolved the issue to my satisfaction with regard to the finance person misleading me into signing a contract that was much too high due to his adding an extended warranty, which resulted in the need for Gap Insurance. The contract was re-written with the lower dollar amount, saving me over $70 a month on my payment. (After him telling me removing the extended warranty and gap insurance wouldn't lower my payment at all.) Now if I can get something done about the mechanic who evaluated my trade-in and lied about it having an oil leak around the head gasket (it doesn't). read more

They say on line they can get you a car for 100+ dollars a .month but that must be to just get u in there. Told them I needed a payment around 150. Had a car to trade in. Long story short had to trade my car, give them 500 dollars and still have a 284 dollar a month payment on a 10 year old car. They got me real good. Thanks read more

Update - My previous review was about my purchase of a new 2015 Outlander Sport - which I loved. Unfortunately, I hit a deer and totaled the Outlander Sport just 5 months after buying it. Since I had such a great experience with Tim Barker and the people at Jeff Schmitt, they were my first choice when looking for a replacement car. Tim was extremely helpful in getting me into another new car - this time the full-sized Outlander since I wanted to go a bit bigger. I was very pleased with the service I recieved!! My salesman, Bailey Doran was very helpful, and made my experience very nice. I bought a car that I descovered when I took it to a Ford dealership, discovered that the clutch needed replaced. I was heartbroken because I loved my car!! And I discovered after further looking into my car that the Focus had a problem with the clutch. When I called them back and told them what happened, they told me to bring it back and make it right. So 2 weeks later, I took my car back, and I now have a brand new mirage!! And I couldn't be happier! I don't think most other dealerships would have let me bring it back like that. A couple of months ago, purchased a Mazda CX-9. To make a long story short, the people I came in contact with at Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi is horrible. From management (Kent or Ken) down to the all the Brians I was in contact with. Very bad communication, no call backs, nobody on the same page. I'm still without radio and interior light that I paid out of pocket myself. I made a bad choice on who I was going to purchase a car from but I won't make the mistake again or recommend anyone to buy from them. read more

Be cautious of the online prices. I liked a car listed that had several pictures posted with it. I called to verify that the car was the one pictured and was still available at that price. I was told that the pictured car was available at the listed price. I arrived at the dealership a half hour later and was shown a completely different car, not what was pictured. When I questioned the manager, Brian, I was informed the pictured car was $14,000 more than what was listed on the internet site. I was also informed that it was not his fault that the information was incorrect or that his employee also gave me the wrong information over the phone. Jeff Schmitt in Fairborn isnt interested in selling cars or getting good deals for their customers. I first went to their Fairborn location and was there long enough to look at all their cars without one single person coming out to ask if I needed help. I left and went across the street to their Mitsubishi location. I was helped but it was a total waste of time. I didn't like the car I test drove ( the salesman went with me) yet he wanted to know if I wanted to come in and talk about numbers! What didnt he understand? They are so quick to tell you they have over 600 used cars that they definitely have something for you. Needless to say these people ran my credit and I didnt even have a car picked out. They couldn't even call me the next day to show me any other cars. It was only when I emailed their customer service person my review that the manager gave me a call. Too late! I went somewhere else and not only bought a car but a brand new one at that even though a few weeks later I got a denial letter by Jeff Schmitt. Haha!! My credit is 700. on September 9 2018 I purchased 2008 trail blazer when we test drove and unit ran out good but we did fine the right rear tail light had a hole in the light assy and driver seat panel was broke loose so company had to order parts which they stated they would repair so we took the car home the check engine light come on only about 12 miles but the wife had the codes ran and was told it was a convertor code took unit back and they stated they had added fuel additive and cleared the code and stated they wanted to see if check engine light comes back sure enough light came back on so we took it back and they did repair the seat panel and tail light this makes the third time for check engine light . this is when she had told them she had the codes ran - and was told it was a convertor issue then service department they ran the codes and stated it was a convertor code so they went to the manager and manager declined the repairs for the exhaust convertor which is a 1900.00 repair we have only had this unit for 2 weeks today 09/15/18 manager stated that the check engine light wasn't on when we left but we only drove 12 miles to our house this was the third time we took this unit back he did offer to split have the cost with me I am a service writer at a MACK & VOLVO dealer ship so I no how the game is played when I asked the service department if the convertor was plugged up he stated didn't think so asked them if it could be a oxygen sensor again wasn't sure they really had no idea of what they where talking about just stating the convertor needed to be replaced note I have only had this vehicle 2 weeks today but had the issue 1 day after we pickup this unit THIS IS 1 SORRY DEALER SHIP IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY TREAT THERE CUSTOMERS THEY NEED TO CHANGE THERE POLICY CAUSE THE PUBLIC WILL SEE THE REVEIWS AND NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALER I HOPE THIS BITES YOU IN THE BUTT I haven't even made the first payment VERY UNHAPPY THEY WAY THEY TREAT THERE CUSTOMER WE ARE TO SPEND MONEY NOTE THIS WAS A FEEL GOOD FOR MY WIFE AND THIS TURNED OUT TO VERY DISAPPOINTING TO HER DUE TO ALL THE HASSLE to whom this concerns Edgar Mays read more
