We put a deposit down on a camper site unseen with a…read morepromise from Jeff (salesman) and James (manager) that it would be delivered to Frederick so we could do a walkthrough before signing final documents. A couple days later Ty called us to schedule the walk through/signing. We asked if we could do 3pm or later during the week or anytime over the weekend. Ty said the latest he would agree to was 2:30pm and then said, "most people are so excited to make a big purchase like this that they just take off work. Why can't you take off work?" (Keep in mind this is last minute). We reluctantly agreed to come at 2:30. GUESS WHAT!? We show up to do our walk through at 2:30 and the camper was never sent to Frederick from Joppa. Funniest part is that James (manager) acted like he had no idea we hadn't seen the camper in person yet DESPITE being the one who told us we would be able to see it before signing final documents at our appointment. We still gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to buy the camper site unseen with the agreement that when the campers delivered to our campsite (2 hours away from us) we would be able to do a walk through and get the keys. While waiting on delivery, I get 4 calls from Jeff asking how we are liking the camper which we DON'T even have yet!!! You haven't delivered it! I get a call from James AFTER signing all the final documents saying the payments will actually be $50 more per month than they told us, never asked if it was okay, etc. We were also told the scheduling lady would call to confirm delivery which never happened, we had to reach out multiple times instead. Delivery finally happens and THEY DON'T HAVE KEYS TO THE CAMPER! We can't get it set up or do anything and have to drive 2 hours back home to fight with James and Ty for days on where our keys were. They kept saying they would call us back, never did. When we finally got a hold of James, he said the keys could be picked up from Frederick the following afternoon, they obviously didn't follow through on this either, didn't even call us to say they weren't there, then blamed it on Joppa per usual. Everything was Joppa's fault, not Frederick's if you ask James. Then they said the keys would be in Frederick the following morning. We kept calling to confirm the keys were in the office as promised since the first go around they weren't. They again kept saying they would call us back when they had a new time to pick them up but big surprise.. no one ever called us back. The kicker is that James had the nerve to ask me to give them a positive Google review..... so, here's your much deserved review, James! You've lost multiple customers over this! Do better!!!

    This review is for U-Haul equipment rental, not storage units…read more I needed a trailer to help a friend move some things. I had maybe a week's notice. Every place near my friend or I seemed to be out of trailers. I put in a reservation at one place and the U-Haul corporate customer service called and said the trailer wasn't available. However, there was one at YourSpace Storage (YSS) at Ballenger Creek. I said that was fine and my reservation was finalized. Come the day of, I'm scrambling to get out of work early to make the hour-long trip up there to pick up the trailer. Of course, it's rush-hour, and traffic is pretty bad. I'm rushing, taking every bypass and shortcut I can think of trying to make my 5:30pm reservation time, which is pretty much impossible. As I'm on my way, I give YSS a call and on the line is this warm, friendly person filled with positive energy. "Hello! This is Lindsay at YourSpace Storage at Ballenger Creek. How may I help you?" I explain that I have a reservation and that I am running late and was extremely apologetic. She understood my predicament and said she would be waiting for me. I finally I get there at 6pm, right at closing time, and she wasn't mad or anything. She had a smile on her face the whole time and worked with me to get the trailer rented quickly (I didn't want to hold her up any longer). Within 10 minutes, the paperwork was finalized and I was able to help my friend and everything was great. I really appreciate Lindsay's courtesy and compassion. The fact that she was willing to help me even though I was late, it really made my day. Thanks, Lindsay!

Valerie always asks what I will be storing or hauling and her size recommendations are spot on. She has saved me money several times by suggesting a smaller, less expensive vehicle. Each time she was correct, I didn't need the larger vehicle. I am very happy with their services and highly recommend them.

    I'm posting this to warn other customers about ongoing issues at this U‑Haul location. Two…read moreemployees, Ingrid and Sarah, are repeatedly allowing customers to hook up their own trailers - something U‑Haul policy clearly states must be done by trained staff for safety reasons. On top of that, they are charging customers for an extra rental day even when the return is only 15 minutes late, despite U‑Haul's official 30‑minute grace period. This isn't a misunderstanding; it's a pattern. This behavior is unprofessional, unsafe, and unfair. U‑Haul corporate needs to take a serious look at what's happening here

Read the reviews for yourself...I was so called "hired" and asked to come in for 2 days to get a "feel" of the job..So no I was not hired but I was asked to come in and do work anyway. I did not get a decision until I texted the manager 2 days later asking her for clarification. I was expected to drop everything going on in my life for this job to come in and clean trucks. WITHOUT BEING FORMALLY HIRED by the way? I notified that I had a doctors appointment and that was her last straw for me to reject my application, after 2 days of working. Even tho she said she would work with me on my schedule. Just horrible, don't bother and don't waste your time to be put on "trial" for this simple job, and get an update 2 or 4 some days later.I have never heard of a company putting a potential employee on "trial" it's the most ridiculous thing, and I've had a wide variety of jobs. To top it off most of her employees don't even like her as I quickly found out. Don't waste your time, really don't.
