*** Review is during Covid-19 *** Workers were all masked. They were fairly busy, and people weren't necessarily spaced out in the waiting area, but I believe they were when seated at tables. I called ahead to place the order, and that worked well. Their estimation of when my food would be ready to pick up was pretty close. I think I waited about 5 extra minutes than expected inside. They have a big menu, which makes it a good place for people who are in the mood for different things (although everything they have is still under that American food umbrella). I got sweet potato fries as my side, and fried pickles to share. I thought the fries could have been a little softer, but they were fine. The fried pickles were good and had that tartness that I really enjoy! I felt like they gave a good amount of the pickles too. I loved that if you order the chicken, which I did, they give you options for spice level. I've never really seen that at an American food spot, so I was happy about that! Probably the main reason I ended up ordering the buffalo chicken tender basket. It came with 4 medium sized pieces of chicken... I wouldn't necessarily say they were the full size of a normal chicken tender that you'd expect, but it was still decently filling (especially with the side of fries). Note: There was also a regular chicken tender basket with the option of spice level, but when I asked over the phone, it seemed like the difference was that the buffalo chicken basket was tossed in your flavor choice, while the regular just had your flavor choice as a sauce on the side. Not only do they let you choose a spice level, but they have lots of choices!!! It ranges from mild ones like teriyaki and honey bbq to medium ones like cajun and and double dipped all the way to hotter flavors like mango habanero and at the very top "afterburn". I ended up at the flavor just called hot, which I thought was a good classic flavor. It was near the top of their flavor thermometer (4th from the top), but it really wasn't too spicy for me. I think with it being that high on the list, I was expecting a lot more heat. So if I ever go back, I'd probably try a different flavor in hopes that it's spicier!

Good food and selections, tons of flatscreen TVs with all the sports and a little bit unusual menu. Kind of a typical bar, burger and wings joint, service was fast and even though it's a lot of hard surfaces not too noisy. The menu had a bunch of choices and all the typical rubs and sauces of a wings joint. What made it special was the additional menu items like several versions of Oster's, fish and chips, sweet potato fries with house dipping sauce, and many other items. The quality was good, burgers were simple, they didn't ask how we wanted them cooked and I can't say it was as good as a steakhouse burger. But everything was fresh, bacon was crispy but not over cooked. They served really good sweet potato fries but had a variety of options including onion rings. My son ordered wings which were moist and juicy and not too small. Service was prompt and friendly. We look forward to going back and trying more of the menu, there were all kinds of things to try. You can do touchless ordering via a QR code on the wall or use a menu.

We had a tough Wednesday all week so we decided to eat out and try Jefferson's. Comfortable seating area. The beer was good, and the wings are great. We enjoyed Parmesan Garlic, Turbo and Afterburner sauce. Sauces were good, especially with the fried pickles. The wait staff was friendly and good. Not a bad way to rectify a tough Wednesday. I recommended Wednesday night's for $0.50 boneless wing night.

3.5 stars! We came in around 11:45 am on a Wednesday. Only two other tables were there. Staff no longer wears masks and there are no hand sanitizer stations. Large place, good ambience for a bar type of restaurant. Ordered the jeffersons chicken and it was tasty! Nothing that wowed me but I did enjoy my meal. Our waitress was friendly but for some reason it did take her like 25+ minutes to come get our order even though there were only two other tables there. She checked on us once after we got our food but that was it so I never was able to get a refill. Overall would come here if you're wanting this type of food but really not my first choice.

Oysters were supposed to have Parmesan. Nothing but black pepper and tough as rubber. Gross

We decided to try someplace new and boy did this place disappoint. LOUD. Difficult to hear the person sitting next to you. Slow service. Flies buzzing around the food. Nasty food. Every single thing is frozen and heated by either deep frying or microwaving. I understand deep frying foods at a bar but this was all so gross I didn't even eat more than a couple bites. The fries were limp and white. Gross. The sweet tea tasted like fish tank water had been used to make it. Our waitress could not be bothered to check in with us and thought my comment about the flies was funny. I will never go here again and I will encourage everyone I know to avoid at all cost. We ordered baked oysters and they didn't even put the Parmesan on them. They were tough and chewy. I tried eating one and ended up spitting it out and left the rest. The waitress asked if we wanted boxes to take food home because we hadn't eaten anything really and we said no it's too disgusting to eat. She didn't offer to comp the meal or anything. Nasty frozen food. Flies. Gross oysters. Loud environment. AVOID this place.

Jefferson's is all about its wings, burgers and oysters! Unfortunately they were out of oysters when we went but they do have other stuff on the menu like shrimp, wraps and sandwiches. The fried pickles are hand bread in house and came lightly battered and were pretty tasty. I enjoyed the buffalo shrimp basket with sweet potato fries that came with hush puppies. My fiancé had wings that were decently sized and juicy. They also have daily specials.

Soggy fries pickles, undercooked fries, no flavor full of fat wings.

Worst wing place I have ever been to. Wasn't busy, yet horrible, slow service. Waited in total, 30 minutes for the check, taking the check back and asking 3 times for a box. Fries were barely cooked along with the "fried" pickles. Pickles were just a soggy, oily mess. The wings were full of fat and no flavor. My boyfriend and I ate a total of 7 wings and a few of the fries, total waste of money.

Best wings in town. Great bar selection and always friendly staff. I would recommended the Buffalo nachos.

I really like Jefferson's, but they have changed their sweet potato fries. They are not crisp any more.

There are so many things to comment on it's hard to know where to start. Panara, over the last 5-10…read moreyears continues to go downhill, not just in this location, but the entire chain. Skimpy ingredients, making the bread thicker to cover up for a lack of ingredients, cutting back on bakery items, and/or removing the bakery display in some stores. Changing the format to be more like a fast food chain, with very bright stores, loud dining rooms, and an environment that discourages one of the biggest reasons people come to Panera; it was a nice comfortable place to relax, hang out, read a book, and maybe do some homework. This new location is bright, clean, and shiny. On the surface, it seems like a great refresh but stay a little while and notice all they have taken away to make it a less-than-desirable place to be. It's basically a Panda or mall food court fast food shop now. The new location is much smaller than the last one on 32nd. It's cramped, very loud, and overly bright. Not conducive to relaxed conversation, doing homework, or hanging out with friends. I'm guessing it's a design decision. Make it less comfortable, sterile, and harsh to turnover faster and try to capitalize on a faster churn of customers. The new tech to get your order is overly complicated and slows things down. Sometimes the simple way is best. They now give you a device that is supposed to light up to help signal the wait staff where to take the food. Simply put, it's a failure. The staff tries to hide it though. On one side under a lip, is a tiny LED screen with an order number. The staff try and read it casually and try to not be noticed but that is how they are getting the order to the table instead of the large plastic or paper table numbers they used to use that the staff could read from across the whole dining room. The surfaces are all bright and hard; hard chairs, floors, walls, etc. That is to further encourage you to eat quickly and go away. Not the format Panera was built on. Instead, you end up with a less comfortable seat and a lot of very loud ambient noise. Everything is designed to move you along and alienate the core customers who have kept Panera going for years. The tables are smaller, and much closer together, again encouraging people to eat and move along and don't bring too many friends with them. The bakery section in most Panera's in the past had a large display area with breads, bagels, and other baked items. Well presented and ready to be sold. This location has a much smaller display case with very little in it. Behind the counter the baskets of bread and bagels are gone, replaces with proofing racks normally kept in the kitchen. They are ugly and another example is that they want you out fast and no longer want to be a place people come frequently or hang out. Also more typical of Panera, half the menu is out of stock. We have been coming to the Joplin location for seven years, and despite the shortcomings, there is not a lot of competition if you want a good sandwich or soup. And every single time we come, we order and they say they are out of this or that. Every single time. Clearly poor inventory management. And they can't blame COVID, it's been this way for years. So we come to the new location and try and order, Tried to order a sandwich on the new ones they have giant backlit posters all over the store advertising, nope, they don't have the ingredients to make any of them. I try a normal regular sandwich they always carry, and nope, only have half of what it takes to make it. How about soup, I wanted the French Onion soup, sure thing but no cheese, and so it went. I settled on the Turkey Bacon on Tomato bread, it comes out with bread measurably cut over an inch and a quarter thick per slice, It's a heavy bread and I guess that was supposed to make up for the paper-thin tomato and nearly nothing else in-between. Still, it was so thick I could barely take a bite of it. We ordered one whole sandwich, and two cups of soup, my wife had the Teriyaki bowl and we each had a regular drink. That was $45 bucks before the tip. At least they now have a drive-thru. Come on Panera, do better get back to your roots.
