JEM is quite the gem! The holiday pop up was phenomenal. From the cocktails to the food. Everything was great. Service was great even during the crowded place. The ambiance was so fun! Sparkling and holiday things on every wall. The burger was really good too! The cucumber salad packed a little kick. Fries were cute and we've kn a little too takeout container. Will be back!

This was a very aesthetically pleasing place, both inside and out. We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful day and the inside is kind of dark and heavy with green velvet, although it is beautifully designed. Our service was excellent, I hate I don't remember her name-- they brought our baby some orange slices unprompted which was greatly appreciated, and she was extremely attentive to our needs. Both my husband and I remarked on what a lovely waitress we had. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner-- I had the Korean chicken sandwich and my husband had the ribs. My meal was the better one out of the two. Both drinks were good-- we had a mojito and the beet le juice. I would absolutely be back if we lived in the area, hopefully it stays around!

Came here with my boyfriend & it was good. Didn't love the appetizer or the Brussels sprouts that came with my tacos (had a spicy sauce on them) but the shrimp tacos were delicious.

We stumbled in here not knowing what this place was and it was definitely not something you'd find back home. This place had a really cool vibe and was decorated like a tiki bar right now. Our server McKeena was fantastic she was super friendly, and very helpful with decisions. The food for me was fantastic because I really enjoy all these foods, my son loved his ramen bowl and my wife and daughters not really their thing but definitely loved the brownie. We also got the fried deviled eggs that I forgot the pic, but everything I ate was delicious. The music in the place was a little loud if you want to socialize as a group but food, and service was fantastic.

Join me as I review a hidden JEM! First, the decor is impeccable and gives off a Miami Beach vibes in Myrtle Beach. Believe it or not, my boyfriend first spotted the backyard and suggested that we gave this place a try. Of course I was down and boy oh boy was I glad that we did. We decided to grab their Happy Hour deals because we were scheduled to have dinner somewhere else and wanted to enjoy a bit of sun, great ambiance and service-ALL of which we received from start to finish. Now, what would a review be without thanking the hardworking staff for making our first visit memorable-thanks to our waitress Britney! Drinks: Mines- French 75: Gin, Lemon, Bar Syrup, Brut Spumante (menu description) My boyfriend- Old Fashioned: Rye, Bar Syrup, Angostura, Orange Essence (menu description) Hear me well, these bartenders are mixologist and they should be recognized for their ability to provide refreshing drinks without missing a step! My French 75 was everything and my boyfriend said his old fashioned was well prepared!!! Happy Hour food: Ahi Tuna Tacos: Fresh Ahi Tuna, Crispy Wonton, Cucumber, Avocado, Frisée, Micro Cilantro, Ponzu Vinaigrette, and Lemon Aioli (menu description). I immediately gave these 10 forks, 10 knives, a happy tummy twirl, and "I need more!" After the first bite!!! The flavors complimented each other so well and the Ahi Tuna was fresh and ohso delicious! Mussels: Mussels, Tasso Ham, Kale, Tomatoes, Beer Blanc, and Grilled Sourdough. I gave this dish 8 forks and a glass of water. Here's why, the sauce was extremely salty so items more likely to soak it up were less enjoyable. I would say that I loved the mussels, they were fresh! And, the tomatoes and kale were a great touch! The sourdough bread was freshly prepared, soft, and tasty but again, the sauce really had too much salt and a part of me thinks that it might have came from the ham. This is why I didn't give my rating 5 stars. Overall, I truly enjoyed this place and it was a good gamble given that I normally research restaurants ahead of time to prevent myself from getting stuck with bad encounters. This wasn't the case here, the look of the place caught our attention and then the drinks and some food items kept us there! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a date night or time with some friends.

Great food and drinks! Waitresses and bar tenders were amazing. Music was a little loud, but the staff and the food definitely made up for it!

Service was great... very friendly staff. Ambiance is a bit confusing. It's like a club/lounge but a restaurant. It looks like a fast food restaurant that was converted. It's dark and moody in there which can be a good vibe if that's what you're looking for. The drinks were good! Good was okay. I would go just for drinks and an intimate setting.

First things first- always a beautiful and wonderful place. Haven't sat inside until today, and it's soo pretty inside too. We were definitely a louder table, but even when we were quiet, you couldn't hear anyone else around us. Social hour was great. New food menu is *chefs kiss* and the drinks are always the best. Our server today was Jon, he was great. Honestly, my favorite spot along the grand strand.

There are not enough adjectives to describe how fantabulous this sushi was! I'm from Charleston, so…read morehave experienced some delicious sushi. This is the finest I've ever had in the state of South Carolina! My cousin from Florida also loves to eat sushi. He said it was the best sushi he's ever had anywhere! We were in town one Saturday night in June for a concert and wanted to try the local sushi. I asked Reddit for some good options and Koi was the winner. The setting was dark and quiet, which we enjoyed. Our server was excellent and helped me get my sushi just the way I wanted it (minimal/light rice). It did not take long for our rolls to come. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was out-of-this-world. So fresh and delicious. I didn't even have to use wasabi, which I usually have to use to offset the fishiness of some rolls. I didn't have to use much soy sauce either. I ordered the Mount Fuji Roll, the Kung Fu Roll and a spicy tuna roll, while my cousin ordered a Geisha Roll and a spicy tuna. The food, the service and the ambiance all made for such a wonderful time, that I am torn between going back again or just remembering it for its perfection! Be sure to bring cash since they do charge a credit card fee. They also have clean bathrooms and ample parking. It was totally worth the two-hour drive. Sure wish they'd open a Koi down here!

You will see that everyone has several inches between their backs and the back of the seat. Perhaps some pillows would help solve this issue but the restaurant has none available. The sushi was hit and miss. We likes what was good but we found some of the tuna to be fishy. We left 25% of our food over because it was unpleasant. Service was great and the decor is beautiful. Unfortunately, we'll look elsewhere next time we crave sushi.

I highly recommend the beet salad, and the evening special was bifteki, which was fantastic. The Greek potatoes were absolutely amazing as well--honestly, there wasn't a bad thing on the menu. They also have a great selection of wines to go perfectly with the food. This is definitely more of a fine-dining experience, but it is well worth checking out when you're in the mood for authentic Greek cuisine. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and an all-around brilliant evening. We will definitely be back. Three thumbs up and five stars from us!

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
