    Great atmosphere

Food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Live music and a fun atmosphere to gather with friends or a romantic dinner.

    The "Pepp" flatbread.

This place has only been open a couple of weeks. Already had a following. Great sports atmosphere. Food is not typical sport bar food. Definitely a high end menu at great prices. What a find on our first day of vacation. Warning, Eagles fans. They wear it on their sleeves!

Slow service... food... just ok. It's nice inside, but had a strange smell the evening we were there.

I've been to Bar 19 twelve for drinks before and have always been impressed by its modern decor,…read morelighted bar and excellent drink selection handled by professional bartenders. Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.

I will say, the bibimbap is quite good and I was not disappointed in the flavor or quality of that dish, but my husband's pork katsu was so small and absent of meat that it looked like fried pork skin. See photo attached. I was drawn to Mura because I love Korean food, but also because of the conveyor belt. There were NO fresh foods on the conveyor belt....only a few prepackaged cookies or desserts. Super sad. The server was also extremely curt with us on both visits. My husband visited with me once and a friend the second time, both commenting on how little hospitality he showed. The environment is definitely not a bring your friends and chat place. There are only bar seats in front of the conveyor belt......with nothing on it. The final piece I'll add is the price for what you get is unreasonable. And I believe I may have been charged the wrong thing? I just left it alone, but it definitely was confusing. I ordered the stone bowl bibimbap which noted 12 plus 6 dollars for a fried egg. I assumed my total was 18 and it came to 22. No where on the menu does it differentiate between stone bowl and whatever the other cheaper option was. Not the biggest issue; if the food and service had been different I'd probably not have thought so much about it. When I brought up the difference to the server, he continued with his curt approach. The bibimbap was good, like I mentioned, but I'd just order it to go if I wanted it.

I'm convinced all the good reviews were either paid for or are from family members of the owner. Before I start, I just want to say that I personally feel for the server. There was only one server for the whole restaurant and he was balancing the food and the bar for the dinner service, which is wild in itself. Despite him having an attitude, I didn't let that bother me because I truly felt bad for him. I also want to mention that everything on the conveyor belt was dessert (chocopies, rice snacks, candies). This is not what was advertised. Where is the food?? What's the point of the conveyor belt if everything is made to order? Is it just there for funsies? I love the concept of a conveyor belt, which is why I came here in the first place. But it was completely useless. Now let's get on with the food... It's insulting to call this food Korean. The yoogaejang broth tasted like the broth you get when you make those $0.99 ramen packets from Walmart. It tasted SO CHEAP. And there were only two tiny pieces of meat in there. This was furthest thing from real yoogaejang. Let's move on to the beef ramen. As you can see in the picture, the beef ramen looks gunky and disgusting. Aside from how it looks, let's talk about the flavor. Tell me why the beef ramen broth tasted like shrimp?? That caught us all off guard. And the noodles were definitely ramen packet noodles. I don't know who they think they're fooling with those cheap noodles. That was ridiculous! THE TTEOKKBEOKKI OMGGGG How can you call that tteokkbeokki?? It had 0 flavor. It tasted like nothing. Where's the flavor?? It was so bland. The pickled radishes tasted so off, I can't even explain it... ANNDDDDD we had to wait 40 minutes for six wings. They claimed that another table took our wings, but I highly doubt that because we didn't see any other order of wings coming out of the kitchen. The kimchi radish and the gochujang wings were the only good things we had. Very sad. And to top it all off, they require an 18% gratuity...for what?? The food was so expensive for no reason, tasted horrible, was not Korean in the least bit, and the service was horrible. I've never been this disappointed in a restaurant before.

Perfect Spot for a Sunny Afternoon Lunch!…read more We stopped into Gordon Biersch Brewery in Myrtle Beach on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon for a late lunch, and we were thrilled to be seated right away in their lovely outdoor dining area. Our server was fantastic--very attentive, bringing out our drinks super quickly and checking in just when we were ready to order. The menu has tons of wonderful options, from fresh salads to hearty sandwiches and their signature brewery-inspired dishes. Prices are a bit on the higher side for lunch, but the quality makes it completely worth it. I went with the Caesar salad topped with salmon, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly dressed--the salmon was cooked just right. My husband ordered the French dip with fries, and he raved about how juicy and tender the beef was. Portions weren't enormous, but they were more than adequate and left us satisfied without feeling stuffed. The highlight was definitely sitting outside in the spring sunshine, people-watching in the vibrant Market Common area while enjoying the relaxed vibe. The patio setup with umbrellas kept it comfortable, and the whole atmosphere felt welcoming and lively in the best way. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Myrtle Beach--great food, excellent service, and that outdoor seating on a perfect day is hard to beat!

My wife and I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years, and every time we drive past JEM I always…read moresay, "We have to try that place sometime." The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.
