What a wonderful experience! We booked a Chef Competition for my husband's birthday. It was so much…read morefun. The chefs get the ingredients 90mins before guests arrive. They planed for appetizers, entrees and desserts (you get 2 of everything). It has time restrictions on each part. You get to yell 5,4,3,2,1 like the real show. Then you will judge it based on presentation creativity and taste. You will have to pick a winner at the end. The host went one by one and made us pick OUT LOUD (she said you all want the experience, this is the part of the experience lol). The food were amazing from both chefs. The taste and presentation were excellent. I love and admire both chefs' creativity. I highly recommend to try it. It's reservation only and it gets filled up quickly (20 spots per competition). Hudson Table also offers cooking class and special events.

It was a fun time once you get into making it with your group. The food turned out mostly good. But you can taste where it may have gone wrong and you can do better trying similar recipes. For example the salad may have been on the sweeter side but there was lots of flavor to it and it was up to the maker of that dressing to suit their taste. Or the pasta was a little tough so maybe it was undercooked. I started to pick up on things like that, which hopefully will improve my own skills for other things I cook. Overall it was a good experience. It was a little on the pricey side as it was mainly giving the right ingredients and quantity so you can not make mistakes. The demo where they teach you things, was okay to miss unless you're cooking for the very first time. So the value I received from it didn't match the price but I think it was a positive experience especially going with people I know

We started off with cocktails and passed appetizers before breaking into teams and actually preparing the imwnu items we were having for dinner that evening. Unlike many other classes we actually prepared and ate our dishes. Great for team building whether for work or friends/family

This isn't an intense cooking class, just in case you're wondering but it really can't be because it's designed as a fun group activity. Therefore, everything is prepped really well and with basic kitchen skills you and your team can prepare the food. I did learn a good onion dicing technique that I used the next day. In any event, our supervising chef was Ryan and he was great. Really energetic and helpful. There was plenty of work to do for all of us and the time went by quickly. When it came time to eat, we were all very hungry. I thought all the food was delicious. I was surprised at how generous the portions were, especially the dessert. Of course that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing. This was a really nice group activity and the staff there do a great job of getting things done so the program moves along without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend this for a corporate event.

What an amazing experience!…read more I did a cooking class with Marla as a team bonding experience for newly elected board members. We had so much fun cooking together and laughing with Marla. The class was extremely informative while being lighthearted. We all learned so much and left with both the recipes and a list of new kitchen tools and gadgets we all wanted. Menu: - Whipped ricotta crostini with honeycomb - Butternut squash soup with frizzled shallots - Butterflied roasted chicken with rosemary, lemon and garlic - Roasted root vegetables - Lemon cream tart with berries Cannot wait to book again!

Marla explained not only the how, but the why behind the cooking. One of the dishes we made was pasta from scratch - it was so well explained and fun that after just that one class, I felt confident enough to make it on my own - thinking back to Marla's tips & explanations made it super simple. I'm now making it weekly! I would and will definitely return for another class to do a new experiences with different dishes. Highly recommended for either personal lessons (1-2 people) or a group session!
