What stood out most wasn't the drinks. It was the kids. There were a lot of them, running around, excited, in the middle of everything. JP knew every single one of them by name before the afternoon was half over. Not in a performative way. He just made a point to learn who they were and made them feel like they belonged there as much as anyone else. He was checking in on them, getting them what they needed, keeping them engaged. Parents noticed. Everyone noticed. Beyond the kids, he was everywhere. Anticipating what people needed before they asked. Moving fast without ever seeming rushed. Making sure nobody was waiting, nobody was forgotten, and everybody was having a good time. The food, the drinks, the whole flow of the afternoon, it all ran smoothly because JP was paying attention to all of it. My sister-in-law's celebration was exactly what it was supposed to be. The brewery offered a wide range of interesting brews, both traditional and many gluten-free. In fact, my favorite of the bunch was the Departed Waves, a gluten-free, fruited sour with mango and passionfruit. It was similar to a cider and not overly tart, but the tropical fruit flavors really shined through. Beyond enjoying a pint or two at the brewery, I even purchased a six-pack to take home. The space itself was on the smaller side, but they had a handful of high-top tables, some bar stools, and even a couch area with a Nintendo-64 gaming system. There were other board games available as well, and they host a variety of fun events like yoga. Plus, they allowed you to bring your own food or get some delivered. It was a fun and chill spot to spend an evening, and I really thought they had improved their beers over the years as well.
