Surprisingly, the combination was absolutely delicious -- unique, bold, and perfectly balanced. From the outside, the shop looks small, but once inside, it opens up into a spacious and inviting space. The ice cream flavors at Jeni's are always great. We walked into Jeni's because the Bridgerton posters with the collab intrigued us. The line was all the way to the door, but we were able to squeeze in and have time to see what all of the flavors available were. After 5 minutes, it was our turn. A nice lady asked if there were any flavors we wanted to sample, so I tried the cherry goat cheese. While I was sampling, one of the other workers approached my friend and me and accused us of cutting the line. He didn't even apologize or acknowledge his mistake, and it really left a sour taste in my mouth. It's frustrating to be treated that way, especially when we were just trying to enjoy the experience. read more

I was a server in college for four years and I worked hard for my tips -- running trays, refilling drinks, managing tables. I also tip my hairdresser, my mechanic, and of course at full-service restaurants. But here, the "service" was simply scooping the ice cream and handing it to me. When going to ice cream shops, it's hard to avoid cross contamination if you have an allergy, especially for hard ice cream. I have a tree nut allergy, so I run into this issue all the time. I asked one of the staff members about it, and he was able to let me pick whatever flavor I wanted! He washed his hands, gloved up, got a whole new tub of ice cream from the back, AND used an allergy scoop!!! He didn't mind doing it either, which I thought was super nice of him. If you have an allergy, they take their anti cross contamination protocol seriously. I don't know if their flavors are made in the same space, but I didn't have a reaction prior to enjoying my ice cream (which tasted great btw).
