    Tex in Tennessee!

More than 30 varieties of homemade ice cream and a full espresso bar from this locally-owned shop - I followed Harry in the door and enjoyed some Sneakers from the friendly staff. Looking forward to some of the famous floats next time!

The drinks we got were not too sweet and just perfect. The service was nice and friendly. The inside was clean and had cool stuff in there.

This place is busy and now, I understand why! Delicious ice-cream with all the love. Generous portions too. Had their coconut! Yum!!

Staff was friendly and it was not busy. Homemade ice cream with good flavor choices. Interesting hot chocolate choices. I went a bit rogue and tried the Mumbai hot chocolate but I probably should have chosen a less exotic flavor. The clove and ginger was a bit overpowering for my preference and the small was only about 2/3 full then the rest was whipped cream. My daughter enjoyed her butter cookie milkshake. Small seating area tucked down 2nd Ave near Hard Rock Cafe. Bathrooms had a sign for 5minute time note (poop and scoot I guess-lol). Also looks like there may be a VRBO attached to the store (how interesting). Interesting spot.

After hopping around to the Honky Tonks on Broadway, we came across Mike's and decided to take a break from drinking and get a dessert instead. We were able to sample some ice cream flavors before choosing a Double Scoop ($7.50) and a Double Espresso ($3.85). We split the scoop, but I had the Sweet Corn Pudding flavor, which was unique. It was pretty good with some bits of actual corn in it too. Other than that, all other flavors were pretty standard.

Perfect place to stop by to rest your tired feet! They give big portion of ice cream scoop and it really can satisfy your cravings. Lines can get long really fast and not a lot of seating inside but have a few tables outside.

Milkshake was delicious and also had a single serving of blackberry cornbread ice cream which was out this world.

Great place to stop in if you're craving something sweet. Came here for some ice cream. I ordered the butter pecan and it was the perfect amount. Staff were ok. It gets busy here. Plenty of seating inside and outdoors.

When you are in 90 degree weather and need something cold but also need a pick me up, stop in to Mike's. Not only are their flavors extensive but you can customize beyond belief! We went with the Affogato, which is basically espresso over ice cream. We tried both the Salted Caramel and Pralines and Cream flavors. Beyond delicious! There were 10 other things we wanted to try so we are adding Mike's to our list for our next Nashville vacation!

So glad I got to be refreshed from the heat of the day at Mike's! There was an ice cream shop right next door that I stopped at first, but I was not impressed by their Icecream. When I sampled Mike's, I was immediately won at first bite. I loved the unique flavors and how expansive the options were. There was also coffee and other items, adding to the menu variety. The staff had a good vibe and were nice. My friend who is dairy free was even able to get some icecream that she raved about (and she also didn't like the shop next door). I loved the small coffee shop vibe and even took a moment to sit and kick back here. I would recommend stopping in for a sweet treat!

Such a great spot to cool off and get a sweet treat downtown! Plus, now that second ave is open again with wider sidewalks, you can take your ice cream to go and explore Broadway nearby! I recommend the Tennessee Fudge flavor if you do stop by!

I wandered around downtown Nashville after a show at the Ryman, searching for any place with an open kitchen. I hadn't had time for dinner before the performance and I was STARVING. Alas, it was a Monday so my options were limited. So I had dinner at Mike's Ice Cream. Yes, it was a hot fudge sundae. No I do not regret it. I was a well rounded meal after all! Dairy? CHECK Ice cream and whipped cream, protein and vitamin D needs fulfilled. Grains? CHECK Peanuts! Not technically a grain but nuts are filling and high in protein and fiber. Fruit? CHECK Maraschino cherry. Need I say more? Hot fudge. Technically cocoa pods, from which chocolate is derived from, is a fruit? Veg? CHECK. High fructose corn syrup (most likely also found in the fudge) is made from CORN, DUH! Ok, ok, so my rationale is shakey at best. But it was between this option and fast food and in the end I picked the local biz, even if it was ice cream for dinner. As for the experience--staff was super kind and I sat, enjoying my first bite of food since lunch, watching all the other tourists walk by. Not a bad choice in a bind or even if you're just out strolling around and want to indulge in a sweet treat in a more traditional way.

Such friendly and welcoming workers- my group had such a blast trying and ordering their ice cream here. Flavors were abundant, laughs had. They had cute decor around and plenty of seating inside. I rec this place!

The first thing I noticed was the line, which was about 12 people deep and stretched very close to a busy road. I was thankful to have other adults with me because managing multiple young children in that situation would have felt stressful. My nephew was in a stroller, and we were glad he was. Parking was easy. We found a spot in the lot, and it looked like there was additional street parking nearby. The line moved fairly slowly, though once we ordered, the ice cream came out quickly. I was surprised that two kids' cones with one topping cost about $12. The kids' cones were enormous, easily 2-3x as much ice cream as I would normally give my children. Thankfully, I watched someone else's order before ours arrived and was able to remove some of the ice cream and put it into a separate cup for myself. I didn't notice any high chairs, although I wasn't specifically looking for them. The ice cream itself was good but fairly average. The highlight for me was the cute building and old-fashioned atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't the best fit for our family. Between the cost, oversized portions for young children, and the logistics of waiting in line near a busy road, there are other ice cream spots in the area that I would personally choose first...the product isn't worth the stress.

I got the Cookie Monster ice cream, which had cookie dough and Oreo flavors, and I think there was also a cake batter flavor mixed in. For the cookies, I chose a Cosmic Brownie cookie and a classic chocolate chip cookie, and both were so good and tasted really fresh. The staff was super nice and patient while I tried to decide because there were so many options. Definitely a fun cute dessert spot, and I'll be back to try more combinations!

Since it was our first visit, the staff was beyond friendly and took the time to explain everything. They were patient, helpful, and genuinely seemed excited for us to experience it for the first time. The custom cookie ice cream sandwiches looked absolutely divine. One of the coolest things we learned is that they'll press the sandwiches so the cookies are warm and gooey while the ice cream stays perfectly intact. Such a unique touch! I personally went with the dark chocolate ice cream topped with mini chocolate chips, and it was rich, decadent, and absolutely fabulous. Every bite felt like a chocolate lover's dream. Between the amazing desserts, the friendly staff, and the cute atmosphere, The Baked Bear was a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back!
