We stopped in for lunch today while visiting the Port Orange area from out of town. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Sandwich. It was really good! The ham tasted great and the sandwich was grilled just right! I also ordered coleslaw. They add a few small cut up pineapple chunks in the coleslaw. It tasted great and just like I had when my grandmother used to make it when I was a kid! Wow that brought back memories! My wife ordered the Tuna Melt with a Greek Salad. She said she liked the sandwich but loved the Greek Salad better! Before we left we looked at the bakery section and ended up taking home a Cinnamon Stick and Blueberry Scones. We will have them tomorrow for breakfast lol... Love how they decorated the restaurant. Everything was very clean. Added note; they stop serving breakfast at noon time and close at 2pm. read more

What a huge breakfast! Try the tender fried chicken with gravy. It comes with eggs, grits or hash browns plus white, wheat or rye bread. The omelettes are good too. The coffee is very light. The iced tea is strong enough. We had the nicest waitress who was very fast, efficient and friendly. read more

Wow - just wow. My brother in law suggested this and it looks pretty good! We went for breakfast, and got there just about the time that all the tables were turning over - so we had a modest wait, but not much! You know that one of Wayne's pet peeves are home fries that are deep fried - well, not here! And, guess what? Home made corned beef hash - it was super tasty, served w/over easy eggs and a grilled muffin. They are known for their Jacob's Pancakes - cinnamon swirl and with a glaze - I had one taste and soo wanted more. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy - and ate way too much but it was delicious- not too thick, spiced just right. It was a great breakfast and maybe we'll go back for eggs Benedict! read more

Heyyyyyy you guyyyyys! Visited this place for lunch. We had various different things at our table tuna melts, chicken sandwich, chicken caprese salad and a Greek salad with chicken. The salads both presented well but they also included wilted lettuce which was disappointing because the presentation was great. The sandwiches were a hit, the fries were a little over done, each sandwich was served with a pickle. The menu had great options for lunch and breakfast. The server was meh she seemed to be carrying a heavy load and lacked any personality. The decor is simple the woman's bathroom needs a deep cleaning and a better flushable toilet handle. The hand towel dispenser needs fixing and the door was awfully black to be white. Over all this place looks to have a lot of regulars but it fell flat for me. Definitely can use some TLC. read more

We came here right before noon on a Sunday. It was busy - completely understandable. The lady gave me about a 20 minute wait time - which was pretty accurate. The inside is super cute and I feel it tries to have a homey feeling. We we're sat in the corner. With two young children, we needed high chairs. The hostess, who sat us immediately asked for our order before we could even look at the menu. We will just quickly ordered waters and the waitress brought over the high chairs immediately with an attitude. My husband nicely said thank you and she just shrugged it off and walked away. Just as we got the kids settled she came back over and asked for our order, we were not ready so we asked please for a few more moments. She came back over and we were ready to go. A few notes on the food we ordered. - Meatlovers Bowl - my husband - stated it wasn't memorable. It was lacking flavor - he wouldn't order again. This was cooked with green pepper and onion - which isn't stated on the menu. It only states meat, two eggs, and potatoes and cheese. - fruit cups - they were orange melon, pineapple, and one grape. In my opinion - these weren't worth it - even at only $2.90 each. My daughter wouldn't even eat it all and she's fruit obsessed. - French toast - my French toast was flavorful and a good size for the price. They use a good thick bread. - side of bacon - this was cooked just how I liked it. As for the wait staff (our receipt said Michelle F - our waitress was an older blonde/white haired woman). She seemed to be bothered by us as soon as we were sat down. She was not very friendly at all. She was very curt when she took our order. She did bring out all of our food in a timely manner, but that's more on the kitchen then on her. She brought our Bill over when we weren't even a third of the way into our meal. She did not come back over to refill our drink drinks, the only reason my husband was able to order orange juice was because she was dropping off his food - a bit after mine was delivered. Honestly, it was not a pleasant wait experience and we are truly never anything but kind - we pick up after our young children - etc. For that reason, I'm not sure that we would come back here as there are plenty of other places around here to try that could have much better service. read more

My sister ordered a Pastrami Reuben sandwich for lunch today. It was absolutely awful. The bread was soggy, and there was something off with the taste. She told the waitress about it and sent it back. She did not want to order anything else as I had already shared my lunch with her. The sandwich was $11.00 and they discounted the bill $2.88. I totally expected them to take the sandwich off the bill completely. When we complain to the manager about it, she was very unconcerned and would not do anything to correct the situation. Heard of this place from a friend. Had to try it. Parking was a bit of a problem but plenty around close by. Got in right away. Place is a bit noisy because of the high ceiling. Good selection on the menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. Also beer and wine selection too Lots to choose from for breakfast. I had my 2 eggs over easy but the meat was kielbasa which was really good, home fries and rye toast. Candyce had the bacon cheese omelet with grits. Waitress was great. They don't skimp you on your proteins unique specialty items as well as classics all done effectively. Remi was a sweet and knowledgeable waitress. The food was delicious either breakfast or dinner. We were all really pleased. OMG the deserts are scrumptious. We had strawberry bread pudding served warm with ice cream.so good. Next time trying blueberry bread pudding. Mahi fish was thick and served in a thin tomato sauce. General friendliness and atmosphere as one might expect from a small diner. Menu prices are not what are advertised on the internet even the lunch specials as they are quoted precisely to the day. While I was craving clam strips and flounder I paid 30 including tip for lunch specials that between my food and drink quoting the menu were not more than 20 max. I had surgery on my right elbow and accidentally hit it on the window ledge by the table I was seated at and began bleeding and it did not cease until I got home about 38 minutes later and during said time was not even offered any assistance as I sit there bleeding into a paper towel. Every time I come here, the food and service has been excellent. A couple of months ago I treated a couple out for lunch and they raved about it. A few days ago. I took another couple out for lunch and they couldn't get over how good everything was. So, as we were leaving, I noticed these big muffins and I bought some for them and myself. I had mine for breakfast and I've never had a horrible muffin like this. It was hard and dry. I felt terrible. So. I called the people and asked them what they thought about the muffins. They wanted to be honest and also said they were the worst muffins they had ever eaten. So, my suggestion is, don't waste your money. read more

Been here twice now for lunch with my boyfriend on Saturday. We've had the reuben, fish reuben, patty melt, and the buffalo chik'n cheese sandwich. All of our meals have been so good and had no issues. The reuben is stacked high with corned beef!! The buffalo chicken was a bit on the dry side but the sauce helped counter that. We've also had the fries that are good, coleslaw is yummy! and tastes quite a bit like it's yogurt based, as well as the macaroni salad. My cousin found this place a few weeks ago after fishing and I was able to recently try it out after we finished fishing. It is a great American fusion breakfast, brunch, and lunch place. Their prices are very reasonable and portions are large. Even with large portions and great prices, food quality here is amazing. Everything was cooked very well and tasted amazing. My favorite was the fish reuben, we just missed breakfast this time around but I hope we make it next time. Our server, Christa, may have been new and thus her service was below average.
