1 star We ended up purchasing a truck here for my parents, but honestly the experience was almost completely ruined by the GSM, Cory Newell (not sure the last name if it's not someone named Newell nobody "remembered". The sales employees Chase and Edwin were actually very polite, professional, and respectful throughout the process, even during negotiations. They treated us like customers and were pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, the moment Cory came out, the entire atmosphere changed. He walked over with an extremely arrogant and confrontational attitude and immediately started making comments to the sales staff like, "We don't have to argue with them, this is the best we're going to do." His tone and demeanor were rude, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. There's a difference between negotiating and simply treating people poorly. We were fully prepared to walk out because of how uncomfortable and disrespected he made the situation feel. The only reason the deal continued was because my mom really wanted this specific truck for my dad. Buying a vehicle should not feel like being talked down to or intimidated by management. A GSM should know how to professionally handle customers, especially during negotiations, without acting aggressive or arrogant. Cory's behavior is the reason for this 1-star review. Wouldn't recommend coming here we felt so uncomfortable there on forward. read more

I would give the service department 4 stars as they are on top of their game most of the time. My displeasure is with sales side of the business. My current F150 has 28k miles and I had it in for service. Anthony , a salesman , asked if he could quote me a price for a newer truck as they need used vehicles. I said sure and Anthony asked if they could get the right numbers was I serious and assured him I was. They run some numbers and when they showed me I was flabbergasted. The numbers were suspiciously high. In steps Mr Personality. I assume he was a salesman manager but he sounded like a prison guard. I didn't catch his name but he had a birthmark on his face . He says " Give me a number so we can make this deal" but they were so far off that I didn't know what to say other than no thanks. Mr P storms off bitching about how I wasted his time and he was involved for 5 minutes, Anthony put in all the work. So now I have no desire to ever step back in that dealership. I live about the same distance from the dealership in Inverness so I quest it's time for a change. read more

Incompetent, Unprofessional, and Negligent: The Worst Service Experience in 14 Years of Ford Ownership If I could give Jenkins Ford zero stars, I would. I have owned Ford products for 14 years, and I have never experienced such a shocking level of incompetence, dismissiveness, and lack of professionalism as I did here with my 2020 Shelby Baja Raptor. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday for an oil change, a fix for a squeak in the rear, and to repair the passenger side keyless entry. This should have been routine. Instead, it turned into a multi-day nightmare. The Communication Failure: After dropping the vehicle off, I heard nothing for 48 hours. When I finally called them on Wednesday, the Service Manager gave me the cliché "I was just about to call you" line. He claimed the vehicle was ready but actually asked if I could pick it up the next day because he had a doctor's appointment. It is baffling that a customer's ability to pick up their vehicle is contingent on a service manager's personal schedule. The "Fixes" and Billing Errors: When I insisted on picking it up that afternoon, the paperwork was a mess. They attempted to charge me for labor that is covered under my extended warranty. They charged me $42 for oil pan nuts and bolts claimed to be "worn"--despite Ford being the only hands on this truck for five years. They also charged me $8 for a key battery, claiming that was the reason the door lock wasn't working. I paid the bill, walked out to my truck, and tested the door. It still did not work. They clearly never verified the repair. I went back inside (my original advisor was gone), and a different manager tried to change settings in the menu to no avail. I was forced to leave my vehicle there again. The Damage and Gaslighting: When I returned the next day, the staff was dismissive and rude, acting as if I were the inconvenience. The door was finally working, but as I drove away, I noticed the Airbag Light was illuminated. I immediately returned. The Service Manager's response? "I don't know what you want me to do about it." I also noticed my automatic running boards were slamming into position--something they have never done in the 5 years I've owned the truck. When I pointed this out, the technician and manager tried to gaslight me, telling me it was "normal" operation and implying I didn't know how my own vehicle worked. The Incompetence: Regarding the airbag light, I noticed all the seatbelts were buckled in the back, giving me the distinct impression they knew the light was on and tried to bypass the sensor to hide it. When caught, they claimed their Ford scanning system couldn't read the codes for a Shelby Baja Raptor and that I would have to take it to the selling dealer, Elder Ford. If you don't have the equipment to service a vehicle, do not accept the job. They offered no apology and didn't even offer to call Elder Ford to explain the situation. They essentially broke my truck and told me to drive a 3-hour round trip to fix the issues they likely caused. Do not trust Jenkins Ford with your vehicle. The service department is inept, the management takes no accountability, and they will return your vehicle in worse condition than when you dropped it off. read more

They're advertisement are dishonest! 2 Saturdays ago I received in the mail from Crystal Ford an advertisement from the store located at 2440 NW US19 Crystal River, FL 34428 the advertisement showed a breakdown of the used car from Kelley Blue Book value as lowest $12,664 as highest $15,003 The $12,664 was based on the car being "Rough condition trade-in". Now my vehicle is not in rough condition. Actually my car is in average condition, and they value an average at $14,142 as shown on there mail-in advertisement. So I decided to go the dealership to see if I can trade my 2012 Nissan Armanda for a smaller and newer vehicle. When I arrived I was greeted by a salesman and immediately, I show the person the mail-in asking if this was the place, and the salesman confirmed that I was at the right place. The salesman invited me to his office. He then started to qualified me as a buyer by asking questions. The first question I was asked he asked if I was here for the special financing program? Without knowing if I was credit worthy, I had replied no. I told him that I currently financing my vehicle through Suncoast Credit Union and I still owe on the loan. That I was looking to downsize because I was looking for an economical on gas, a mid size SUV. Shortly, another person came into the office and said that he wanted to appraise my vehicle. He said that he can put me in a newer vehicle, and lowered my payments. I told him that sounds great! The first salesman ask me what ere my payments and about how much I owed on the Nissan Armanda? I told him my payments were $279.96 and the payoff was approximately $13,431.37. The manager who was going to appraise my vehicle told the salesman to show me the 2016 Toyota Highlander we took it out for a drive. When we returned the salesman ask me if he can earn my business today if we can make a deal? I said yes as long as I get the $13K for my trade and my payments are lowered. The salesman took me to his office, told me he will be back an after awhile he came with a paper. The paper had my vehicle trade value, which he covered. And started to show me 3 columns with money down, term of financing and payments. One columns was $10k down 60 months @ $399 payments. He never told me what was the asking price on the used 2016 Toyota Highlander. As his hand moved away, they value my 2012 Nissan Armanda at $5,700. I told the salesman to give me my driver license and keys. He asked if there was something wrong! I told him we are way off on my trade, and I was leaving. As I left his office another salesman approached me and said that my vehicle had too many miles. This information they already had over an hour ago. I told them according to the "Drive safety trending articles average rates of miles driven per year: Florida 11,836 miles. I am a Vietnam Wounded Veteran, disable and educated. In the last 4 years I have financed 3 vehicles with Suncoast Credit Union. When I came into their dealership as a potential customer, I was under the assumption that Crystal Ford respectfully honor there advertisements. I feel Crystal Ford were dishonest and did the treat me with respect. People should not be treated as such by any car dealership. These Crystal Ford mail-in advertisement is a cheap way to lure consumer to the there dealership! Folks I hope this is an eye opener, let's not be too naive. i took my ford to crystal river because i live here.. i had the booster on my brakes replaced in az under warrenty before i moved here .i had it go out again and they would not replace under warrenty in crystal river . $900 later it has not been a year and its gone out again . there must be reason this is happening /it only has 86000 miles on it and it is a 2011 ford edge i purchased it new in 2011. if they cannot warrenty ford parts anymore i am considering taking it to someone else . i have always taken it to forrd even for an oil change i was always told that ford warrenty their parts ,not so anymore . does anyone have any advise and has anyone had this happen to them ?????????? i have always taken care of my car and was loyal to ford as we have always been a ford family and i have ford stock . read more

Traditional bait and switch. I went through Sam's club and true value to get a discounted vehicle Jenkins Ford called me this morning saying they had the vehicle I was looking for. Bought 2 traded 3 at Chevy Homosassa and Ford Crystal River. Most corrupt thieves I've met in the car Market. First vehicle was a high end sports car that they hid damage upon request of the Carfax report at purchase. Carfax Report doesn't help you much if they only print out one page and there is more. Then bought parts for the car to replace the damaged ones they sloppily repaired and others that where missing. They reported another 3rd accident on the car without proof. Their lawyer said as much in a phonecall. Traded the car in not knowing they had put the strike on its Carfax for a Brand New truck thinking I was getting out of other people's issues. Needless to say they gave a fraudulent representation of the worth of the vehicle at trade in. Truck has the Jenkins appearance package meaning they took a new truck at 11 miles Bent the break lines to put a 7 1/2 inch lift with missing major parts crucial to safety, made the speedometer and Odometer read 10 percent wrong then told the customer they did nothing wrong. I've talked to the owner and he's a snake. Promised to make it right when it eventually made it to him then he didn't get the outcome he liked and shut down like a child that knows he won't be held to account. Played up he was a Veteran to like that ment anything to him. Do business with these crooks at your own peril. If they would do this to a disabled Veteran and his family what do you think they would do to yours? Jenkins and his dealerships are the worst I've come around in 32 years and more than 15 new vehicle purchases. They have no problem committing Fraud when the system is there to make it hard to hold businesses to account hoping the customer just wont have the time to deal with it. Im looking into tearing that system down a few notches. If this review saves one family from making the mistake of a house payment with this train wreck Jenkins Auto Group I'd be content with taking the time to write it. We came to this Ford location because we are traveling in our RV. Our truck had been giving us intermittent trailer braking notifications, and we needed it fixed. My husband checked what he could but we couldn't get too deep into the electric stuff without being over our heads. He had tested the trailer plug to the truck and didn't come up with anything. When we took it here to be looked out they insisted they had run tests and we needed to replace two pieces of the trailer brake plug (sorry for my non technical terms) and the total cost would be 500 give or take. My husband was insistent it was not the plug but they said to start there, because their tech that's been there for years knows all about this, and he couldn't get a good connection and thats most likely the cause. We were to go back for the appt the next day. Meanwhile my husband was reeling knowing it wasn't the issue. We decided to ask our camping neighbor if we could test our truck plug with his trailer plug. He agreed and immediately the trailer connected notification came on in our truck. Proof it was not the trucks issue but instead a trailer issue, and that Ford was going to charge us 500 for nothing, and when that didn't work, what else. I really value honest and sincere work. We did make the appointment, and paid for the initial inspection, and they did agree to have us pay half that price. But still makes me question the honesty of the service dept. We have since figured out the trailer problems and have gone down the road safely with no issues. read more

Told me twice nothing was wrong with my truck, though I had taken it previously to a dealer who told me what was wrong immediately and had relayed that to them (moved and could not get it fixed at the first dealer in time). I was so fed up that I asked how much the part was, then magically they found the issue. Meanwhile they had my truck 8 days, was told my warranty covered a rental, got charged for rental fees they did not tell me about. The part would have cost less. Very dissatisfied. I had my truck in there 3 times for battery drain. The second time they did not do what we had talked about (after leaving it there for 4 days) so I had to take it back for the 3rd time. I feel that: 1. They did not want to really find the problem with the truck. 2. The agent spoke down to me like I have no brain. I guess he figured since I'm a woman he could blow smoke out my ** and I would fall for it. Jenkins Ford told me that I have to keep a battery charger on the truck permanently because I have to understand that because there are so many sensors/components on the trucks now that they will drain the battery in a couple of days. THAT'S BS! I made an appointment with the service department at the Chiefland Ford Dealership where they agree there is a problem with the truck. Got to talking to one of the sales managers, ended up switching my reservation to Crystal Ford for a new Bronco. They have been awesome in communication, in order change requests, in keeping me in the loop with new information. Ive tried giving this dealership my money twice. First was October of 2020 when I was in the market for a new car. Contacted Crystal Ford and was promised some information regarding the vehicle I was interested in. That information never came. What did come were a barrage of emails and phone calls over the next 30 days, that would not stop even when I asked them to stop contacting me because I had already purchased a new car (from another Ford dealer). After those finally ended, I started getting survey emails asking me "How did we do?" for another few weeks. Fast forward to January, and the emails started again, this time with a false subject of "We've been trying to get in touch with you". While I wasn't happy with their sales team, they are the closest dealer to me and my new Ford needed an oil change so I decided to give their service department a chance. Went to their website and it asked me to make an appointment online. Great, I'm already online on your website so why not? Entered my information and it presented me with a handful of appointments over the next few days. Not a wide open schedule, but there were random time slots available as you would expect from a vehicle service department. On the appointment day, I arrived only to be told by the service department they would get me in when they could. I asked if I had an appointment and he said yes. I asked how long it would be and he said a couple hours. I asked again if I had an appointment and he confirmed, but mentioned that the online bookings don't work as they should so they were all booked up already. It also helped tremendously that the service writer was acting like I was bothering him by trying to get my car serviced there and give them money. Never an apology or an ounce of empathy that I spent my time driving over there, only to be told that my oil change wasn't worth them honoring my appointment, and I was going to have to wait until they felt like getting to it. So I left. I'll never spend a dime at this Ford dealer. If my car breaks down right in front of their building, I'll pay the extra to have it towed to the next Ford dealer. ** Update. Thanks to Crystal Ford for sending me an email letting me know I "missed" my scheduled appointment that you weren't going to honor in the first place. I didn't catch name of the rude and disrespectful service writer, but you thankfully included it in your email. Brent Moore was my service writer. Terrible customer service. Do better. read more

We would not recommend them. Since we purchased the truck there has been lack of follow up with the issues that we were told would be resolved. We were happy at first with sales rep Christian but we have been trying to get issues resolved since our truck purchase. We were missing keys for bed cover and the truck keys from inside the key fob. They told us they would contact prior owner but I guess they had no luck because we were told we would have to come back on weekday to get key made. I asked to go to our local Jenkins dealership and was told he would check with manager. However when I didn't hear back I was told that was not possible. He said he called and left me a message but when he said the number he called it wasn't even any of our numbers. Well we called local locksmith, Action Locksmith, we were told we could get the key code from local dealership and then go back to them and they could make the keys. I called Christian with this information and was told he would get with the parts department and let me know. I emailed him info requested but never got email back or even code. We called a few days later when we hadn't heard back and were told the system was down. Oh by the way it has been down for about 2 weeks now since that is how long ago I called and sent email. Well I went to Key Scales Ford in Leesburg and gave them the same info Christian requested but system was down and was told they would keep trying and call me when it was up. Magically they called 2 hours later with the key code. I did not purchase my vehicle from Key Scales Ford nor have I been there for any service but they still helped me more than this dealership. Went back to Action Locksmith and they made the keys and because I had done the leg work didn't even charge me to make the keys. In reference to the keys to the rear bed cover we researched it on our own and got the replacement keys no thanks to any help from Jenkins and had to pay out of pocket for those. Lastly, we are still waiting for a USB drive to do the update on our vehicle. This was supposedly mailed out about 2 weeks ago. However we are not sure because Christian never called us back to let us know if the parts department even mailed it out. Decided not to wait any longer and bought a USB on our own and researched to get the update downloaded. We downloaded it onto the USB and then onto the truck. We are very disappointed in our experience and would not recommend this dealership ever!! read more

My brand new 2019 Ranger suffered a flat tire while on a long road trip vacation. My wife and I were just passing through the area and headed to the Crystal Ford dealership immediately after putting on the spare. The staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help get us back on the road. The flat tire was able to be patched for a minimal fee, and they re-attached it free of charge. They even filled up my pre existing "low washer fluid" without telling me. Very decent people, I wish the dealership in my home town was just as nice. read more

I have owned 2 Ford Escapes in the past, and decided to upgrade to a Lincoln. Also my first time buying a brand new car! I should have done more homework -- I didn't know that 2,000+ miles is a lot of miles on a new car, although I did notice it... they told me that they would take something off of the price. When I went back the next day to pick up the car I found it didn't have two great features after all (I had test driven two models, one more expensive--I got the lesser expensive one.) Anyway, a day later I discovered little things that told me the car was not in new condition--a mechanical issue (loud rattle in the front driver dash), car needed an oil change, blue tooth had 2 iphones that weren't mine programmed in there, etc. When I called about the mechanical issue the service dept said they couldn't schedule me until 5 days out. Then when I reviewed my sales contract I noticed that they had not discounted the price for the mileage as promised, and had charged me for some add-on that i didn't request. I called twice for the General Manager and left messages. I finally got a call back from the sales manager the next day. He then disclosed to me for the first time, that the car had been used as a loaner. That's when I cried. I was mostly angry at myself, but I also felt so disappointed, and...hoodwinked. To his credit he was very patient with me on the phone. He came back with an offer of some cash (approx 2% of the purchase price), and said I could bring in the car the next morning for servicing... at that time we sat down together in his office, and I told him that I didn't want the cash --nor the car. I paid full price-- I wanted a new car, not one that felt distinctly used. They let me trade it in for what I paid, and also ate the difference in taxes for the upgrade to a comparable model which actually has all the features that the original salesman had told me that the original car had--but didn't. I was happy to pay full price for this vehicle because it only had 19 miles on it. And the new salesperson Elizabeth, who showed me the second model was far more knowledgeable than the first salesman. Had the original salesman been more knowledgeable about the features of each model, and been more forthcoming about it being a loaner, given me an appropriate break on the price and taken better care to prep that car for delivery, I think things would have gone way better. Also, in the second paperwork signing, I actually read the sales contract this time, and noticed that the sales price was $500 higher than the MSRP--the sales manager had to come in and fix that too. So I really had to advocate pretty hard for myself, at every turn-- there was no trustworthiness on their part, or at least that's my impression. And the GM never called me. I'm glad they made things right in the end (hence the 3 stars)--I just wish they had taken better care of me from the beginning instead of me having to fight so hard just to get a fair deal. read more
