I have been going to Gina for several months now. I get my underarms and lower legs done. I have had RIDICULOUSLY good results on my underarms. I've done 3 full sessions on each one, and it's reduced the hair by about 75%. My reults on my legs have also been GREAT, not as crazy as my underarms, but much better than I expected based on my research of electrolysis. After 2 full sessions on each one, it's reduced the hair by about 35-40%. It's also less expensive here than other places I researched, and she is the SWEETEST person you could ever meet. The business model of this business is troubling. It is owned by one person who places others in a chiropractor's office to provide the service. Gina and Kyra, both of whom provided services under this model did good work but to get to them you must go through the owner. Despite being a long standing customer, when I went to book recently, after my appointment was confirmed, I got a text advising to pay a $45.00 deposit (which is the entire cost for the 15 minute session I booked). While I paid a deposit on my FIRST visit, I was never asked to pay a deposit for any follow up visits and a string of texts confirmed that. So, I expressed my opinion of this policy to the owner as it was being applied to a RETURNING client who has NEVER not shown up and always paid for all services rendered; nonetheless, I prepaid for the service I had booked ($45.00). After paying it, she cancelled the appointment, deciding I had "disrespected" her or her business. As a professional businesswoman for more than 45 years, I have received criticisms and complements from existing clients. Firing an existing client for expressing a criticism is unprofessional. I'm sure Gina would have preferred to make money during that time period. read more

Jennie! That's my girl. I came here because I was referred to her through Elise's website (she currently has a waiting list). I finally got the braveness to go in and think about doing some type of hair removal. The office waiting room, Jennie's office, and the bathroom are all spotless and clean! There is very peaceful music playing, super relaxing. I called Jennie and asked if she had some time to schedule me and how much time I would need for the specific areas that I wanted. She called me back and wanted to schedule a consultation before so that I could know the level of pain I might endure for the areas I wanted treated. Went in, met Jennie, she explained the entire process to me with a few diagrams, and then she got to work and gave me some samples of what she would be doing and how it would feel. COMPLETELY painless. On a 1 to 10 scale, pain registered at a 0.5. She did tell me that for my consultation she was going slower so that I could fully understand the process. She even showed me a couple hairs and pointed out what stage they were at! How cool is that?! I never felt pressured to make an appointment because of the free consultation. I feel like sometimes people feel guilted into doing something because they received something for free. Definitely not the case with Jennie. I never once felt pressured and every time she talked about me and electrolysis in the future, she always worded it as IF and not WHEN. She made me feel really at ease and I felt comfortable with the entire process. I made an appointment right there after my consultation before I left. Today was my first official appointment, it was only 30 minutes. Jennie welcomed me by name and was ready when I showed up. She definitely worked quicker than she did during the consultation, so the end game was a little more painful than I originally expected. But even then, out of a 1 to 10 scale, the pain was a 2, MAYBE a 3. The amount of pain also lasted for a quick couple minutes. Areas felt a little sore, but only for about 30 minutes. I can't wait to go back! Jennie is wonderful. She makes sure that you're comfortable and is always asking how you're doing in terms of pain management. She's very understanding and very gentle. I have done electrolysis a few years ago but it would always lead to painful cystic acne and I didn't see the results I wanted. That all changed when I started seeing Jennie! She is fabulous at what she does and is very sweet. Getting to her place (I live in Carmel Valley) is fairly easy and there is always plenty of parking. I try to see her on the weekend when she is available since my Mom also likes to get electrolysis done as well and she works late on the week days. So it's a super plus that Jennie has space on weekends! Just make sure to book her in advance since her schedule can fill up quickly. I have been seeing her for about 6 months now and I am loving the results! The hair is thinner, less dark and less abundant. I also do not suffer from any breakout afterwards. This is probably due to Jennie's skill, her latest equipment and overall very sanitary conditions. I like that she sends text reminders for appointments and is always easy to get a hold of if you need to reschedule. Her pricing is very affordable and fair. I had some seriously unwanted hair due to hormonal imbalances. I've tried laser treatments, tweezing, waxing, and shaving. Nothing worked for me and the hair only got worse. I was tired of having discoloration and constantly dealing with the hair. It got to the point where I could barely have a conversation with someone without being worried about them asking what was wrong with my face. So I looked into electrolysis (the only permanent hair REMOVAL approved by the FDA and American Medical Association). I'm so, so, sooo happy that I found Jennie! She offers a free consultation and explained everything to me fully: what I needed to do in terms of pre-care and post-care of treatments, the entire process, and what results to expect.
