Went to Dr. Matysik for a bone spur on my big toe which was rubbing against the next toe causing…read moreimflammation and sores. The initial paper work to fill out was a poor copy which was crooked on the paper (I should have just walked then). Scheduled me to come back the next week for x-ray. $35.00 co-pay and he doesn't take credit cards. I guess I should have asked why he couldn't do x-ray that day. Went the next week for x-ray. He informed me his machine was broke and I had to go to the hospital. Another $35.00 co-pay. Had to return the next day to get the results of the x-ray which indicated I did need surgery (I already knew that) and another $35.00 co-pay. Wanted to scheduled me the next week for a pre-op visit. I think not.

Again, just an ok impression. Nurse removed his shoes and socks with no gloves. Doctor did exam with no gloves nor was there a sink or sanitizer in the exam room. Bedside manner very very poor. Looking at history, he asked if hubby had had a heart attack. Hubby said "no"; doc said "well not yet" meaning there was one coming. Will not go to follow up appointment.

I made an appointment…read moreas a new patient, arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, and after waiting for an hour 15 minutes past my appointment time I left explaining to the front desk staff that I couldn't wait any longer. I don't appreciate my time not being respected, as Dr expect theirs to be respected. Also, as I waited, I heard every word of the conversation the Dr had with the patient in the room next to mine. The walls are paper thin and the Dr talks very loud. I learned that the patient in the next room didn't have an appointment but the Dr "squeezed" her into his schedule. I'm glad he felt he could do that but clearly at my expense!!! After the patient left, the Dr did his dictation for her chart in the hall for all to hear and then talked about the patient with his nurse for all to hear. I value my privacy and wouldn't go back even if the staff called to reschedule, which they did no so. If this Dr values his patients, you would think the front desk staff would have called me trying to reschedule my appointment. I would not recommend this office to anyone!
