I had never heard of Jennifer's salon since it's tucked away in a small shopping center by Best Buy in Aurora. But my daughter's friend gets her hair done by Jennifer, and her hair always looks amazing, so we had to check it out! First, my 16-year-old daughter decided to give it a try, and now she refuses to go anywhere else, she absolutely loves how Jennifer cuts her hair. My 8-year-old son is the same way; he won't let anyone else touch his hair but Jennifer! After seeing how much they loved their haircuts, I decided to give it a try myself, and let me tell you, I'm never going anywhere else! Jennifer isn't one of those stylists who rushes through a haircut just to move on to the next customer. She's truly passionate about what she does and takes her time to make sure you leave looking and feeling your best. I know some people might hesitate because it's a Korean salon, but please don't let that stop you! Jennifer is amazing, she doesn't just cut your hair, she teaches you what's best for it and how to keep it healthy. She pays close attention to your face shape and knows exactly what will and won't work for you. I trust her so much that I just let her do whatever she thinks will look best and she nails it every time! I've finally found my go-to salon that's clean & gives the service you wouldn't expect! I've been offered tea & water while having my full hair color. I've also been given a throw pillow to rest my hands on as the owner observed I was watching on my phone while waiting. These are the things that will make you want to come back! Oh and my hair color came out perfect and my scalp didn't get itchy after as they only use natural products! I cannot compare the place & service from my previous "U***" salon. Owners are friendly! My family and I have been going to her salon here and there throughout the years. Their service is very attentive and polite. The inside is very clean as well. I believe many of the bad reviews are due to the cultural differences and language barrier. They are a Korean ran business, please try to understand they are trying their best to accommodate you but there may be some misunderstandings. If anything it's always best to have a picture of what you want if you are going to any salon to get your hair done. They have very reasonable prices for their color and cuts. I got my hair cut and colored there a while back and it was one of the best cut and color I have gotten. Definitely planning on going again to get my hair cut the next time I'm in town. read more

To be honest, I was a little hesitant because of some of negative reviews. To my surprise, this is one of my best haircuts ever! From my experience at other salons, normally the hair stylist is super chatty and within the hour, knows everything about you. Jennifer is definitely reserved and spent the time perfecting the cut. I don't know about everyone else, but I rather have someone that is an introvert (a little quiet time is great) and is paying attention to detail. It was my first time going to Jennifer's Salon, and like a lot of people, I hadn't had a proper haircut in over a year. I was a hot mess. My hair was too long, too gray, and completely out of control. Well, no longer. I now have a wonderful new haircut, just the right length, with beautiful blonde highlights to hide the gray. If you love your hair PLEASE do not go here. This was the worst hair cut I've ever had (before and after photos attached). I wanted a simple trim, approximately 2 inches and then for her to follow the trim the face frame I previously had. I was left with a mess. When I stated I would not be paying as I cried, they acted as if it was a "reward". I'm truly devastated. My hair was beautiful and long before, now it's a train reck. PLEASE GO ELSE WHERE. Not everyone has the luxury to get their hair cut, styled, etc and the owner doesn't seem to understand that/is rude beyond belief. It was my first time in a few years that I was able to get my haircut, however, Jennifer (the owner) was unpleasant. Yes, I am very much aware that my hair is very thick and long, but she continuously frowned throughout the whole hair cutting process. I did not appreciate her ruining my experience for me. I only requested her after seeing the reviews/photos, but I should've made a better judgement. I was excited to get a haircut and Jennifer made me feel so unwelcome. Couldn't believe the frowning, sighing, rough brushing of my hair, telling her co worker how much her shoulder hurts and saying "lets see" in a tiring tone when I kindly asked if she could give me side bangs. At the end of the haircut, she tells me to get my hair cut every 2-3 months, not to leave it as is (not even in a friendly tone, more annoyed). Haven't you been unpleasant enough? Even though she was unpleasant and made it a very uncomfortable experience for me, I still tried hard to be patient and kind. I was charged $55 for this unpleasant experience (just for a haircut) but still tipped her. I've never experienced this kind of treatment in my life. Yes, it seems you were attentive with my hair, but I did not appreciate the negative attitude you were clearly portraying. If you don't like cutting/ dealing with certain clients hair, please rethink going into the hair salon business. I came to you because you're a hair stylist and your reviews seemed promising, but I was very disappointed at your unpleasant attitude. Never will come back. At least Jennifer doesn't have to frown again dealing with my thick, long hair that needed to just be worked on. :) read more

Will not be going to this place anymore!! Be aware, they lack basic professionalism and business integrity. I have been going to this place for haircuts and really enjoyed the services I have been getting; however I made two appointments a month back for haircuts and had to cancel one of them a week ago. I showed up today and they let me wait for 20 minutes and when I asked about my turn, the owner admitted to me that she was not happy with me canceling one of the appointments and basically cancelled both my appointments without telling me. First of all, I believe I have the rights to cancel and I give them plenty notice. If they don't want me as a customer anymore they could have told me on the phone; instead they let me come in and give me the cold shoulder treatment. I feel like they are trying to get back to me for canceling one of the two appointments. Wow, these people know how to treat valuable customers!! read more

I've known Jennifer when she worked in a different salon that I used to go. Ever since, she always make sure that you are satisfied with her service and the work she does. Now that she owns her salon, she goes above and beyond! The place is in a good location in a strip mall, is welcoming and is very clean. They follow Covid protocol such as: wearing masks the entire time in the salon, scheduling appointments so the salon will not have several customers at the same time among others. I discovered Jennifer through a good friend of mine almost 3 years ago and I'm so grateful I found her. She's a perfectionist as a hair stylist and really takes her time, not rushing at all when giving me my unconventional haircut. You can tell she takes her work very seriously and I'm always happy with the results because she really listens to what I want and knows how to achieve what I'm looking for. I even take my 9-year old son to have his hair cut and coloring done by Alice (another fantastic hair stylist) because she also understands what would look best on him and she is also skillful in the full hour she spends with him. The fact that I'm not fluent in Korean in no way hinders the amazing work that Jennifer and Alice perform in this salon. We have an easy relationship and can easily communicate with each other.
