I had a scheduled appointment canceled after I arrived because lab work had not been done--lab work that was never ordered or communicated to me in advance. Between January 20-23, I called the office repeatedly trying to obtain a doctor's note to return to work and guidance on emergency injection protocols. I was placed on hold, disconnected, or unable to get help multiple times. I have call logs documenting these attempts. For patients with adrenal insufficiency, timely communication is not optional--it is a safety issue. The lack of responsiveness and administrative coordination was deeply concerning. I hope this office reviews its processes, because patients with complex endocrine conditions deserve far better.

The doctor should have cleared the room of all family members and ask the patient specific questions regarding cognitive and memory conditions. But no, this doctor asked the patient while the abusive family member was standing right on top of them these questions. The patient feeling threatened of abandonment from specific family members coward to their specific direction and we're unable to speak freely being confronted by the abusive family member. The family member who held power of attorney then threatened the doctor, nurses and other hospital staff. No report of elder abuse which could be construed as being a loving family member and protocols were thrown out the window. The family member who held the power of attorney documents over the hospital and NOT conservator ship then bullied Hospital staff not to give other family members life-threatening information, causing irreparable damage to the patient who was already in a Fraele medical condition. Shame on San Joaquin Hospital for not reading between the lines of what is not a loving family member but a abusive, iron fist controlling individual. God will judge those involved. They do not stay true to your appointment time. The wait still takes forever. I spend almost 3 hours in the room waiting for a 5-minute conversation with the doctor. They gave me a bunch of diagnostic tests to do, and I scheduled appointments dates/times for all of them. Then a day before, they called to cancel and reschedule one of my appointments after I had already cleared that day for it because they were "low on supplies" (well how unfortunate...), and my new appointment wasn't gonna be until another month later! Eventually, I just told them I refuse to do that particular test. Also, their call system is all weird... the voicemails that they leave me do not get to me until hours later and when I try to call back, no one picks up or the office is already closed. Should be 1 star, but I'll add another because the MD is good.
