Wow. Did you know dental places have more medical freedom to diagnose than any other field of medical? Make sure your find a dentist you agree with morally and if something seems off, do your homework. They tried to tell me my 7 year old son needed 8. Eight!!! Root canals. We brush teeth daily, twice a day. To say I was shocked is an understatement. The dentist was rude and unprofessional to boot basically saying it needed to be done right away. Something felt off, I felt nervous and decided to get a second opinion. I'm genuinely so happy I did. He needed 2 cavities filled. No root canals. How scary is that? Dentists truly have free rein to claim services are needed and cannot get in trouble. Maybe because it's subjective? I'm not sure; but NEVER go to one of these places. They are out for money and do not care if your child is the one that suffers. read more

My son has a deep rooted fear of the dentist due to a bad experience he had with a terrible pediatric dentist. Getting him back in to try another dentist was something in which I had to tread lightly over. I asked for recommendations from friends and family and, of course, did some research online. Dr. Kim came highly recommended all around. After 2 appointments with him and his staff, I'm like a little lark singing praises. They could tell how nervous my son was, and were very attentive to that. The staff and the doctor were gentle, compassionate, and explained every move they made in order to keep him at ease. After his cleaning, it was discovered that a filling was in order. When we came back for that appointment and he saw the instrument tray, I thought he was going to have a panic attack. I think he would have got up and run out of the office given the chance, but again, the staff were kind and patient and put his sweet little panicked heart at ease. Throughout the entire procedure, the dentist constantly explained what he was doing and asked my son if he was doing ok. The entire experience was night and day to the experience we had previously. It goes to show how far you can get with a child by just listening, explaining, answering questions, and talking to them like they are people. The office called the next day to ask how my son was doing and if everything felt alright. Another small gesture that meant a lot to us both. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim. He has a gentle manner and seems to really care about his patients. I feel very grateful to have found him. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place - but I will do my best to be as comprehensive as possible. 1) super clean. Just driving by this place I wasn't sure, but man inside it is impeccable. No raggedy kids play areas, all the glass on all the doors are clean. I know this seems petty, but to me it's pretty terrifying to think of someone working on my teeth if they have a dirty or run down waiting room. 2) customer service - also amazing. They took all my insurance info over the phone, so I had minimal stuff to do, even though my daughter was a first time patient. Over the phone, receptionist, x ray tech, hygienist, and dentist - all had amazing bedside manners and were calm and patient and explained everything to my daughter in age appropriate ways and let her help them and feel important. They showed her "pictures" of her teeth and let her experiment with how the water and air tools worked. They let her hold the suction and be the hygienist's "helper". This is huge for a kiddo like mine - she is fine if she isn't being surprised and if she can feel in control of little things. I wish this place was around when I first started taking my son to the dentist. 3) Accommodations. Really nice set up. I think I only saw one other patient, but if there were more I didn't see or hear them. Each room has multiple flat screens - so you can watch videos if you are sitting up waiting or laying down getting worked on. My kid LOVED the ceiling TV and insisted on awkwardly watching it the whole time, even when there was one in front of her when we waited. 4) Promptness - they made me an appt as a new patient in a timely manner when I called. We showed up on time and were called back in under 15 minutes. X Rays were 5 minutes, dental hygienist was incredibly fast (5-7 mins) and the dentist Dr. Kim was thorough and didn't feel rushed at all with us. This is again so important because a part of my disdain of dentists is having to be sitting around in there ALL DAY. For kids with little attention spans this was key - probably why I didn't hear any tantrums or fussing. They were calm, soothing, but they handled their business and were done before a kid could get bored or uncomfortable. Other things - I can't say much about pricing because it was covered by insurance, but it seems incredibly reasonable here. They are experienced with kids and adults that have anxiety with dentists - and I can see that they are very capable. I didn't see any paddles or restraints... Their calm approach worked very well. They also offer nitrous oxide to kids and adults who need it to calm their nerves. They are a family dentistry, so they take kids and adults, and they also cover orthodontics. I liked it so much I switched over my 12 year old as well. We will be coming back in a few weeks for him (and he sadly had some horrible first experiences with scary and non-kid friendly dentists so this should be a breathe of fresh air for him). My daughter's favorite part was that the hygienist gave her a little Barbie type doll (brand new) as a gift to her BEFORE she started the cleaning. I could tell this made her feel special and trust the lady, and I knew it helped her to be good so she could hold onto that toy and open it when we left. Really smart on their end....and she probably will always love this place as the place that gives out dolls. Overall - a great experience. A side note: they do only offer nitrous oxide, so if you are like me and your fear of dentists borders on irrational and paranoia, sleep dentistry isn't offered here. read more

I was really impressed from the first moment I walked in. The atmosphere was very clean, the staff ver pleasant, I almost forgot I was at a dental office altogether. The staff was incredibly helpful and went over all of the options I had available. The $39.99 special for x-rays was a real savings. For $50 more I added the dental plan to save on all of my treatments. The dental assistant seated me in a room and took x-rays and then took me to another room where she gave me a remote control for my own television to watch while I waited for the dentist. 10 minutes later the dentist arrived. He was very personable and thorough, Showing me my x-rays on a screen. The office manager went over pricing with me and we decided on the best plan. This was by far the best dental experience I have had to date. I would highly recommend this location. read more

*I haven't been here in about 4 months, this review is for then & several times before that as well* The one star is for the friendly front staff & a few orthodontist's...... Other than that, it's horrible. Wait times I've had my appts around 9am & leave by noon. It is always packed. Being there just for a checkup should not take longer than 3 hours just to wait to be seen. I would not recommend this place the wait is not worth it, back office dental assistants aren't friendly and I don't like how you cannot sit back with your child if they are needing work done on there teeth (besides cleaning). read more

I used a yelp offer and I do have dental insurance. When I called asking why I was billed more when I used their coupon they stated it was for people with no insurance...(they knew I had insurance) so anyway, I was unhappy about that and I decided to choose another dental office for the future needed appointments. read more

I've been going here for my braces and have to say that I really enjoy the customer service. The front desk is headed by Kendal who is awesome. She is super nice and goes above and beyond to help you out. They recently did a little renovation/ face lift so its nice, but it has always been nice. Dr. Viola has been the resident orthodontist there for about a year and a half. He is really professional and will answer your questions very thoroughly. I would recommend Smileworld for braces over a place like western dental. I think the quality of service is great. Ask for Stephany to work on your braces. She does a great job, and makes the visit an enjoyable time instead of a chore. read more

This place is great. Nice clean office. They offer coffee, tea and cold water to those in the waiting room. The Staff is very friendly and always answer all of my questions. This is a pleasant surprise because I have been to other offices where the staff act like they can't be bothered. My kids and I love this office and they love the dentist too. They are normally pretty efficient and quick too, depending on what procedure you need done. For instance, my son's appointment today was at 2 pm. I'm always early so we got to the office around 1:45pm. We were walking out of the office by 2:30. read more

Dr. Kim was very nice and patient. He also seemed very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. The staff was friendly. There was a longer than expected wait time to get in. My appointment was at 5pm, I didn't get called back until about 5:25pm but once I did it went fast. X-rays took less than five minutes. I got out just after 6pm. I REALLY wanted to like this place after my son's first ever dental visit with them. Let me just say off the bat that my 2 year old's visit was 4 stars. It was my visit that I would give a 1. (Averaging the reviews and it comes out to 2.5 stars) I'll break it down for you. PEDIATRICS: Great place for kids! At least from what I see so far. I still need to bring another kid by. The lobby has iPads and game consoles for the kids to play on. Granted, the iPads are a bit too high for small children to see while they're sitting down. My toddler was a bit nervous going back that we didn't think he would allow X-rays to be done. Thankfully, he did great! THEY did great! My toddler was so happy that he wanted to tell everyone about the dentist that day. GENERAL: On the other hand, my visit was a hot mess!!! The X-rays went well. It was the actual cleaning that I had a problem with. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the hygienist that did my cleaning, but I do remember that she was blonde. She came in asking if I had been numbed already. RED FLAG - why was she asking me that? I told her no, but that I've been getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months for over 20 years now and have never needed to be numbed for a cleaning. She replies with a reluctant "ok. Are you sure you don't want to be numbed?" Well... now I know why she asked. It was a very uncomfortable experience as she rushed and was heavy handed. But forget the uncomfortability, let's talk about how messy the experience was! I had water falling out of my mouth onto my face, my hair, and my clothes. Drool spit everywhere. There was so much of it that she soaked the bib I was wearing and had to rush to grab more so that my actual clothes wouldn't get soaked. It was disgusting. She needed an assistant. I've had excellent dental hygienist that can work without one. But this girl was clearly lacking experience. I've been to over 4 dental offices in the past 20 years due to our family needing to relocate constantly. I know what a good experience is and this was BY FAR the worst. I really don't think I'll be coming back for myself for my next dental cleaning. I hate to leave a review like this seeing that this place has great reviews. Maybe dental customers today are more concerned with amenities over the actual service they came to receive. As for the front office girls, they're polite and friendly! I love how flexible they are, especially with my family's crazy schedule. Big Kudos to Frances!!! She's usually the one that picks up my calls. As for Dr. Kim, he's a good guy and runs a clean office. I just think he needs to pick hygienist with more experience OR mentor them more closely. read more

Very clean yet boring waiting area. They have more tables and chairs than actual people sitting in them. It almost feels like there's a hidden cafeteria somewhere. For some reason, every single time I tried to be seen as a walk-in, the receptionist always claims that they are booked and I can only get a check up without a treatment. Even though , the waiting area is completely empty. It's very confusing on to how can they be so busy if there is nobody there. Are they treating ghosts? I don't know. They are also very picky about the insurances they are willing to accept. read more

Good customer service is so hard to find now in days! I was taken back by how professional and nice the staff was. From the moment they called to confirm my appointment. The young lady went over every possible scenario and procedure and gave me lots of options while explaining them all. I like how i could put any channel i wanted on while i waited as well. The dentist let me know every step he was going to take and the time it would take when he started the process. He constantly asked me if i was ok or in any pain. At one point he stopped and waited while my mouth numbed a bit more even though i was in minimal pain. He seemed to care and not rushed to get me in and out! Bonus was the tv on the roof i could watch while they worked. Afterwards they explained the next step and the lady's up front made my appointment. Switched insurances and read reviews for different places. Smileworld had some great reviews, so I booked an appt. This has been by far the best dentist appt ever! The staff was so friendly and they asked for my permission for just about everything that would be done on my child which I greatly appreciate. My child is on the spectrum, so we were both very nervous about how this appt would go and the staff made my child feel at ease. They gave my child a goody bag afterwards and they even handed my 1 yr old a goody bag too. Thank you for such great service! read more
