She has been on a well deserved extended vacation. I needed my gel manicure so went to another lady just on Monday. By Thursday 2 nails had broken so far down they bled. Three other nails were peeling and going to break as well. Went in today to have fixed and Violet told me they don't guarantee their gel or acrylic nails. I respectfully told her that this never happened with my regular lady. She just shrugged her shoulders and told me she didn't know what to say to me. Needless to say I told her I wouldn't be returning to the salon. It makes me sad to be so disrespected as a loyal and generous patron to be treated this way. Plus, I will miss my wonderful nail tech who I also call a friend.

I paid an arm and a leg for the services and i felt like the quality could have been better. First off, for my pedicure I wanted to get a white sparkly polish for my toes and chose it from the book... no one warned me that they put a white coat under the samples in the book, so the polish came out a very sheer grey and not at all like the book showed. The lady doing my pedicure was nice and the calf and foot treatments were good, plus there was a massage chair. As for my finger nails, the person doing my nails was not all that friendly, he handled my hands pretty roughly, demanded that i leave my nails as long as he had them (which ended up looking good but some more explanation would have been nice), and would lightly hit each finger with the nail file when he wanted me to put it down, which i felt came off a little rude. I was also disappointed by the fact that there was multiple parts of the nails that were missing polish (like the very top and sides) and he left a large build up of some sort of acrylic powder or something underneath the nail which really bothered me. I would have gone back in and asked for it to get fixed but unfortunately i did it the day before my wedding and didn't have time to go back and fix it. I am a big believer in "you get what you pay for" and i think if my total had been lower i wouldn't have been so frustrated, but because it was SO pricey, i think the attention to detail and service should have been better.

The acrylic is extremely thick, uneven, misshapen, and lifting/curving upward. The undersides were left rough and unfinished, and several nails had to be redone multiple times. During the service, the technician burned my fingers with the electric drill while redoing two of the nails--twice--and they still came out looking terrible. I only chose the most basic pedicure because, after seeing how the manicure was going, I did not trust them to do anything more. This workmanship was nowhere near worth $110, and I left with painful fingers and nails that need to be completely removed and redone elsewhere. I would not recommend this salon.

Ann is so great, I would NEVER think about going to anyone else. The wax she uses isn't that horrible hot strip wax most of us have gotten used to. It's a cool, strip-less wax that hurts a lot less that the other. I've been going to Ann for almost 3 years and have had many other people wax me before her, but most of those times before Ann have left me with nightmares and touching up to do myself. I never leave unsatisfied and trust her to provide me and the friends I've referred with great service every time. Not only is she a great aesthetician, she's a great friend, too. Ann is always flexible with my crazy schedule and fits me in wherever she can. She has great specials that she notifies all her clients about via text, facebook, or newsletter and she's got a website coming soon to keep all of us updated on the fly! She has fantastic customer appreciation parties about twice a year with some great raffle prizes. I won a yoga package last year! Thanks Ann for being the best at what you do! read more

I cannot express enough in words how FABULOUS and BEAUTIFUL my natural nails are now that I have been getting my nails paper wrapped manicure by Jennifer. My natural nails have been a nightmare all my life since I was a teen, had acrylic nails while in my professional career, and now thanks to my friend, my natural nails have never been sooo beautiful. My BFF knew of my struggles with my nails and referred me to Jennifer's Salon and told me how great my nails could be. With great disbelief I finally went after about two months of telling me to go see Jennifer. NOW I have strong georgous natural nails that HAVE TO BE CUT, all one length all the time and go every two weeks....seriously it is amazing!!! I contstantly get compliments on my nails and people are amazed they are natural. I am new to the Scottsdale area and found Jennifer's on Goggle search. I read several of her reviews and decided to take a chance. I received my first Paper Wrap which uses no acrylic, silk, fiberglass, gel, shellac, glue or adhesives that can further harm already weakened nails. Jennifer advised me that Paper Wraps produce a stronger, healthier nail and promote growth with 100% natural products. So far, I'm loving it. My hands & nails were one of my features that I was self-concious about, and I did what I could to cover them up with acrylic, silk, & shellac...UNTIL Jennifer!!! She applied a paper wrap to my nails and I fell in love. Not only are they stronger and longer, they are healthy!!!!! Jennifer took the sad, sorry, cracking nails I brought her and made them look better than they ever have. She very was knowledgeable in explaining the biology behind my "prematurely aged" nails, and why I didn't want to consider acrylics (even though she would apply them if I wished.) I've been getting my nails done at Jennifer's since I was a little girl. I was a nail biter my whole childhood, and when I decided I wanted to stop, Jen helped me get my nails into fantastic shape. Her paper wraps make your nails hard as rocks, and the polish will stay on for weeks! I accidentally left one of my lip glosses behind, as it fell out of my pocket and onto the chair when I left. Only after I got on the freeway did I realize it was gone. I called them immediately and asked if they found it. They did and I told them I'd come by on Monday to pick it up. It so happened I was in the area the next day so I was able to swing by and pick it up. Thank you Hayden Nails & Spa for a wonderful experience. I'll be back! =)

As I approached the front counter, I politely asked, "Do you have an opening for two mani and pedis?" The woman at the front responded rudely, "Okay, go pick out your nail color," while rolling her eyes and walking away with an obvious attitude. That first interaction immediately made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I hadn't even received a service yet, and I already felt like I was being treated differently for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, the experience was enough for me to walk out without spending a dime. I cannot speak to the quality of their services because I chose not to stay, but customer service starts with how you treat people when they walk through the door. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place.
