Cherrie does my nails PERFECT every time, she is always friendly, easy going, genuine and creative. I ALWAYS get compliments on my nails after meeting with her. Worst Gel pedicure I've ever gotten. Nail tech said I needed gel for it to look good and gel was all over my feet. Asked her to clean them up and she said "it'll come off later". Manager/Owner was RUDE circled my siblings and I for our entire pedicure asking over and over what we were doing and how we were paying. Honestly, a bit disappointed with my last visit here. Nothing to do with the staff or the location, but mainly the service I received. I've really like the environment, and the people here in this salon which is a nice change from not being able to find a good nail place out here. The owner has always been pleasant, the conversations are always on topic with what's happening, and the girls are just straight up friendly. I made an appointment for a gel mani with Jana, and a pedi with whomever was available. I was unable to make it to my appointment so I rescheduled with Michelle, and got everything ready, but I wasn't told I wouldn't be seeing Jana, but I honestly assumed I would be since I requested her. We had to move the appointment a little bit but we got it figured out for the next day. With that being said, that visit was upsetting. My husband ended up coming with me to get the pedicure while I would get my nails done. The girls welcomed us in, I picked my color, we waited a bit while the staff member who would be doing my nails finished fixing one of her own, which might bother someone but I didn't mind. I sat down and started to get my nails done, without names because she really is super nice and I'm sure she's great, the gal started to take my old polish off and we all got on topic about some documentaries. When it came time for my cuticles, the gal dig into my thumbs and didn't really take anything of anywhere else. My nail polish does not reach my cuticles or even close, it's pretty far from the edge even though it's been since Saturday. The polish is rippled on the sides of my nails, and is thankfully for the most part smooth. She did a great job with the shaping, and the length. The main disappointment is that it looks like I've had this polish on for a couple of weeks, after six days. While this was happening, my husband was getting his pedicure done with one of the other gals. She ended up filing one of his toes severely, which made him bleed - they got him a bandaid and apologized but it just seems odd for where his skin was filed. We ended up paying 80$ with tip, even though the pedicures were on sale, which no one let us know about. I think with that being said, I would return to only see Jana, and would try to keep my appointments better so that I can make sure she's the one I see. read more

UPDATE: I hate to update with less stars than I originally gave, but I just ended up being so disappointed that I felt it was necessary. The nails looked great at first. They took over two hours to do, so I thought that the time spent would be indicative of quality. Unfortunately I was wrong. By day 3, my gel was bubbling and cracking. I had never seen that happen before. Day 5 my nails were breaking down on the sides and just looked crumbly. I was there for over two hours, and it was really disappointing to see them disintegrate so soon. I would not be willing to spend that amount of time or money on these nails again, so I won't be back. It just wasn't up to par. However! The salon was still pretty, Alicia and the owner were still very nice, which is why this is 2 stars instead of 1. I'm not sure what happened with my nails, and I could have gone back and had them fixed, but truthfully I didn't have the time and I didn't want frequent repairs to become a habit for me. Hopefully it was an off day and this isn't the typical state of nails. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am so happy I found this place! I've been looking for a good nail place for the longest time, and it's safe to say I'll be coming to see Alicia from now on! The atmosphere is really clean and pretty. They have movies playing so if you don't feel like talking for a moment, there's always something to look at and be entertained! I also really enjoyed talking to Alicia. It was great because I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all. I got a brand new full set and all I can say is WOW! She did the custom build for me, and there's such a difference from the plastic tips. My nails look amazing and she did the coffin shape just right. I found this place on Yelp and decided to go because I am new to the area and I'm looking for a nail salon to call home. Don't get me wrong the staff were friendly and the decor was fabulous!! BUT my gel manicure started chipping off after 2 days on two different fingers. I was actually going to let that go because it was small and I could live with it but a big chunk of polish lifted off my middle finger lifted yesterday and it's only been a week and 2 days. I've had gel manicures for years and I've not once had it come off prematurely and I'm not doing anything different than I always have! I also paid over 70.00 for gel manicure and basic pedicure and I am VERY disappointed because I've paid less and had gel manicures last for 3 weeks! Anyway, my pedicure still looks good! Also if you're looking for vibrating chair while you get a pedicure, they didn't have it or if they did I did not sit in it at the time of my services but I was comfortable. OMG, Let me tell you how happy I am that I found this GEM on Yelp! Polished Nail is THE BEST! I can't remember how long I've been going to Polished Nail, it seems like many years. There is no worry about misunderstanding what you want and no worrying about the staff talking smack about you right in front of your face in a language you don't understand. English is their first and only language spoken, that I know of... LOL. Kimberly is my nail magician. I get the gel set. I had been to other places and have been in that chair for over 3 hours sometimes and they have looked like crap. Kimberly gets me in and out in 45 minutes or less and they look AH-Mazing! I'm in real estate and need to be available when that phone rings so when she gets me done in 30 minutes, it's an added bonus. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Kimberly is awesome. In regards to one of the reviews, Sherry's didn't make sense to me. Kimberly is a perfectionist. She is very skilled and can do a perfect fill quick. Why would someone want to sit in a chair longer than they need to be? I've never felt rushed by her at all. $40 for a gel fill is extremely reasonable. If you're looking to spend more money for a gel fill and more time sitting in the chair, I can recommend a place for you. Kimberly has always listened and done what I have asked for. Read great reviews so I decided to try- my nails were in terrible shape. Upon entry, everybody greeted me and were all very nice. Shop is small but neat, no odors or items lying around. I soaked my nails for a while then Kathy started on my gel nails. She was very nice, with a warm smile and I immediately felt comfortable. I was a bit nervous at first because she worked quickly. I was afraid she would cut too deeply into my cuticles and cause me to bleed but that didn't happen. :-)). She meticulously painted my nails and in no time flat I had a set of beautiful nails. The best I have had in a very long time!!!! Fee was a reasonable $35. I will be back and tell all friends about this wonderful place. Kudos to you all! read more

I am in the area temporarily and I needed to get my nails done. It was hard finding a place I felt 100% sure about. I went here because of all the great reviews and I am very happy I did. I called and made an appointment for the next day with Lisa. When I came into the salon, Lisa greeted me right away and showed me the colors to choose from (they have lots of gel color selections!). Lisa was super friendly and so was the other woman in the salon (Michelle, I believe?). I asked about the glitter they had, and Lisa let me know how they do it (it's called Rockstar). I've never had such pretty glitter nails! I told her she had spoiled me and I'll never want plain nails again! They turned out gorgeous and I'm so very happy with them. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be close friends with many of their clients- made me feel welcomed. Did a great job on the manicure. Had some issues with the color drying and she tried to correct it with top coat. She offered to redo the "odd" drying but it was so minor I barely could see it so I declined it but appreciated she offered to fix it- esp when the error wasn't even her doing.
