Jennings & Allen is one of those shops you stumble into and instantly feel glad you did. We were from out of town and will make this place a must go to when visiting. Their pieces are some of the best on the street ~ artistic, unique, and beautifully crafted. You can tell there's real intention behind everything they carry. What truly stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff was friendly, engaging, and genuinely knowledgeable about the products. It honestly felt like they loved the store and appreciated us being there, which made the whole experience even better. Not pushy or "salesy", just sharing their love of the beautiful crafted items. Highly recommend if you're looking for beautiful, one-of-a-kind items that can double as art and a place that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. My wife dragged me in here saying things looked super cute in the window. The guy running the place said there were things in here, all hand made, from thirty different countries. We walked out with some metal wall art from Haiti made from recycled oil drums. Pretty unique and cool finds in here. read more

This shop has such an awesome selection of gifts made by crafters around the world. I really appreciated that the owner knew the background of where each item was from. I bought some adorable large felted flowers that were made in Tibet, and I plan to go back for more to make a bouquet. Oh my gosh!!! This has to be the most diverse and most welcoming little shop I have ever come across here in Seal Beach. As we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest gentleman and were offered a cup of warm cider...it's Christmas time. And the cash register was an even friendlier smiling face. The shop is exquisitely filled with such a diverse selection of trickets, food and beauty items from diverse countries. Simply lovely. You need to stop and check it out for yourself. Not only is this the cutest store I love their new location! If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and GO. Personal favorites are Los Polanos Lavender syrup! I use the syrup in my margaritas to make a much needed relaxing lavender margarita, it's a floral back yard bliss for the crazy times of covid! I also use that syrup for my lavender lattes which are simply DIVINE! For the kids I make lavender lemonade for a nice sunny so cal day. I also am a huge fan of their jams that they sell! Heidis raspberry lavender jam is a favorite of my girls and for their impromptu garden tea parties. Oh and let's not forget the Dr Fauci doll reminding us to keep calm and wash out hands!!!!!! Wanted to like this place. They have great things and I am always about supporting local. Came here to do some Christmas shopping with my dog - being SB is a dog friendly environment - I assumed it was ok. We were greeted by a nice lady when we walked in and she told me all about the store and how they do business. We walked around a bit and then a rude sales guys approached and said my dog was licking the pillows when in fact she was not. He proceeds to tell me the store is busy and since my dog is large - it's too much for the store. I am fine with policy - just make it clear up front and don't make people feel not welcome. I live in the area and frequent SB often. There are plenty of places I can spend my money, I don't need to interact with rude sales people and such disrespect. read more

Such a beautiful space with beautiful things to buy ranging from hand carved soap stone river rocks to culinary lavender. Their prices are typically higher, but supporting small businesses that support communities and artists makes it so much more worth it! My favorite piece I have purchased is a set of hand blown colored glass cups with a matching pitcher. The color is just so beautiful and I love how they are made from recycled materials in Mexico :) Their customer service and knowledge of their product is quite refreshing and the hospitality is warm. Overall, they really hit the nail on customer service, product quality, and consciousness of products and their impact on the communities they are from. The owners showed us how the items were made and who they benefit. This was not just a normal store, it was an experience. If you want to give someone an incredible gift that is original and creative this is the spot! They have so much functional art like cutting boards, and plates and cups. Very cool place and they are supporting artists from third world countries, this is the type of small business to be a part of. I don't know how they find or hear about these phenomenal artists but they do and they offer us a chance to not only bring a part of a distant far away land into our homes but also supporting Third World artisans. Amazing products and owners! Walk through Brita's Gardens to find this lovely local store with a unique selection of beautiful items from around the world. All of the decor is created by artisans, from both the U.S. and other countries, who are trying to improve their lives through the products they create. The owners of Jennings & Allen also support local organizations, regularly giving back to their local community. I highly recommend the wide selection of kitchen towels which are beautiful, very durable and can work with any decor. I often use them as "reusable" wrapping paper; tied around a wine bottle as a gift. They regularly have new items from somewhere in the world. I found this store when they were newly opened, have shopped it ever since, and cannot recommend it highly enough. read more
