Besides having a heart of gold and exuding customer service, she knows her clients by name. Of course, she does special orders, but you can find her set up outside Strader's Garden Center on E. Broad St. most Saturdays (from spring to fall) from 9-12. I highly recommend you stop by. Note to reader: These treats go fast! We're talking 1-2 hours on average, and the load's gone - containers empty. I love her mini cheesecakes with fresh strawberries covering the top. The perfect sugar to cream cheese ratio. Not too dense. The graham cracker crust is light, none of that over-baked, hardened crust thang going on. I've been graced to taste several of Barb's sweet collaborations of the last several years. I much prefer to support local businesses and causes, and Ohmygollies is a perfect example. The baked delicacies are delish!!

It looked fresh and amazing - so I bought a slice and ate the entire piece (after just having breakfast). - I have had hummingbird cake many times in the south. This is the best I have had. New location, same great service and taste!…read more I have tried donuts in many states and countries and I have yet to find one better than here. Well, if I'm honest there was this Amish stand at a farmers market in Central PA that had outstanding donuts, but they only sold them a few times a year and I have no idea how to find them! This trip, I got the big boy donut, a white icing cake donut, and a pretzel. The big boy donut is a huge glazed donut as big as your head. That's right, you can hold it up to your head and it will be just as large!!! This time, however, they put a twist on them and added icing to a few. I know, sweet on top of a sweet sugary donut seems like overkill, and it was. But come on, anyone willing to eat a donut as big as his head has no problem with something super duper sweet! The other items were equally good, and I liked their new larger location. They even added a few new items since I was last there like donut holes/bites. This place continues to reign as the donut king in my estimation, and the fact that they FINALLY accept credit cards now is a huge win.

It was a pleasure to see Resch's Bakery open in Gahanna. As a family new to Ohio in 2013, we heard…read moregood things about Resch's and we have long been supporters in past communities of family owned bakeries. We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.

I would say that I would not purchase this and definitely wouldn't send it to a customer. I have a sugar buttercream to review and maybe it's better, it looks good! This bakery is primarily the new cookie store started by Cheryl Krueger of Cheryl's Cookies fame…read moreafter she sold her original brand to 1-800-FLOWERS. Though I've heard these are all new recipes and I'm sure must be, due to an agreement between Cheryl's original and current companies, the cookies,to my unsophisticated cookie palate, taste the same. They appear to be the same size, though MAYBE slightly heavier. The big difference though, is in the price. Perhaps because 1-800-FLOWERS is a multi-brand multi-million (billion?) corporation and can obtain access to discounts from vendors, shippers, etc. and economies of scale, C. Krueger's products are just way more expensive than Cheryl's Cookies. Also because of the advantages mentioned above and special shipping programs offered by 1-800, you can almost always get free delivery of Cheryl's cookies. That is not the case with C. Krueger's, and delivery costs can be quite hefty. You may occasionally find an online coupon for free shipping but that's not standard. So it's difficult to recommend C. Krueger's over Cheryl's due to the price differential, but if you prefer to support a hometown company over a faceless multinational corporation, albeit one with excellent customer service, than the quality of C. Krueger's products should not be any barrier to do so.
