This was not just a meal but an experience! Cozy log cabin setting with a live guitarist and fresh wildflowers at each table and Teton artwork on the wall. The service was warm and friendly and the food was stunning in plating and in taste. I tried foods I never had before (bison tenderloin, duck confit) and was pleasantly surprised with each course. The highest praise to their pastry chef. The almond berry Chantilly cake was gorgeous and my husband said it was his favorite dessert of all time! This dining spot is set along the Jenny Lake Scenic route. We came for a midweek lunch, and the service was excellent. We were able to get a table on the scenic side of the dining room. We ordered a burger and tacos. The food was good, but in the beautiful surroundings of Grand Teton, I think everything tastes better! While I was not a guest at Jenny Lake Lodge, I still made a reservation to dine at the lodge for lunch during one of the days I was in Grand Teton National Park. After hiking to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, I continued on to Jenny Lake Lodge and arrived just in time for my 12:30pm reservation. Upon my arrival, my cell phone was nearly dead and I had forgotten my portable charger. The lovely staff at the lodge graciously accommodated my inquiry if they had a spare charger. Once seated in the dining room, my server, Cam, was attentive and friendly and gave me a great recommendation to try the Elk Burger. The burger was cooked to my request and the meal was relaxing! The lodge just has something about it and the view out the window was just so calming! I would love to stay at Jenny Lake Lodge in the future but, in the meantime, my pleasant lunch experience will have to suffice! It was nice to hang out in the lodge for a little while before starting my walk back to the Jenny Lake parking area. read more

Needed somewhere to stop for breakfast after waking up early for the sunrise and this was one of the places open the earliest so we stopped in. We came to find out that when you're not staying at the lodge breakfast is a flat rate and all you could eat off of the menu (which they did tell us before being seated but at that point we were starving and there was not very many other options). With that being said it was around $40 each and with a tip it ended up being around $100. So we ended up paying that much for a pretty basic breakfast because with just one order we were full. The food was pretty good, the potatoes and bacon were both delicious! On the other hand the french toast and pancakes were pretty unremarkable, also the pancake came out barely warm. We did have a great view and the service was good! I could see how this would be amazing if staying at the lodge but otherwise not worth the high price tag. read more

Need more salad to balance out the saltiness of artichoke, olives, and meats. Also the salmon we order was over half raw. When I eat my salmon, I do t want it raw unless I am eating sashimi grade. We decided to eat here for one of our nights while at the Grand Tetons. The setting cannot be beat. The backdrop of the Tetons was gorgeous and the night we ate, we say plenty of wildlife outside the window while dining. The food itself is pretty high end considering you are in a National park. The portions are just right with a 5 course menu. The appetizer, salas and soup were smaller and the entree was relatively large. We were quite full after dessert. The service was ok. It was friendly, but inconsistent. I cancelled my second glass of wine because it took a bit and didn't want to have it beyond my entree. And would have been nice if they offered us some more bread while we were still having soup/salad vs after. Either way, I would definitely recommend dining here! read more

Came here for our second visit. Once again excellent experience . This is my wife's "happy place". The employees are so nice, helpful and professional. The food is amazing. They rotate ?5 different menu's, 5 courses but with 2-4 options with each course--glad we could share. They will bend a bit if you just want to try a bit of something in addition to your choices. Standouts we will remember for at least a year! are: Wagu filet, Lamb stew (soup), Lobster pasta, venison Wellington. Aso very good were the : Foie Gras, french onion soup, Wagu skirt app, and salads and of course desserts. We brought our own bottle of wine--no corkage fee if you are staying there. Dining was part of our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge. Counter to the complete roughing-it experience of the log cabins, we had 5-course gourmet meals nightly. I absolutely LOVE the Jenny Lake Lodge restaurant! If you are staying at the Lodge, breakfast and dinner are included. Breakfast is made to order, but you can order everything on the menu! For dinner, it is always a 6 course menu, and it changes every night! I personally love the fact that there is a dress code and I wish they would reinforce it, because dressing up is a sign of respect, IMO. Totally recommend eating here! Super nice servers. The will bend over backwards to make sure your treated right and have the correct item(s) you ordered. The surroundings were fantastic as they have large windows to view the wildlife and such. The noise in the restaurant was very low and very enjoyable. The only bad thing I encountered was wanting the prime rib at lunch time and they did not offer it during lunch. I settled for a salad and a large bowl of chili. Both were very good. What a nice experience. We stayed in a cabin for three nights so had breakfast and dinner there each day. Just know this is not a moderately priced deal but if you stay there dinner and breakfast are included in your cabin cost. Breakfast options range from lighter fare to a full eggs and meat meal. Dinner is a five course meal. Our service was always good. You do need reservations for sure. While you wait have a drink out on the front porch looking right at Cascade and Paintbrush which are unreal. In our opinion JLL is better ran than the park options up in Yellowstone which are all Xanterra operated. I hope we get to return to JLL in the future. read more

jenny lake lodge is a restaurant where you pay a set price, and get a five course meal. the menu changes either daily or weekly, so keep in mind that the food i mention in my review might not be on the menu when you come to dine here. the building is beautiful, it looks like a log cabin with windows to see out into a little meadow. Shelby was our server, she was so nice and funny, knowledgeable about the menu, and accommodating. she let us order as many desserts as we wanted (we thought it was one per person) so that was a great treat. substitutions were also allowed which surprised me. it was my parents anniversary, so we got (i think) 15% off the bill! how sweet! the only con i would note shout out experience is the lack of (good) vegetarian options. i eat mostly vegetarian and also eat fish, so i had a bit more options, but a vegetarian might be less satisfied than i was. a tofu appetizer might be better than the beets? i started with the beet appetizer with goat cheese, it was yummy but slightly less exciting than what my meat-eating family members received. then the soups came, mushroom miso and tomato and fennel. both were great. the mushroom miso might have actually been my favorite part. it was a bit spicy, which i liked. the salads were the only part of the meal i felt meh about, but i don't care too much for salads in general lol. it wasn't bad, just not fabulous. i really enjoyed my trout. super flavorful! my brother loved his elk stake. my mom ordered the only vegetarian entree, a burrata pasta, which was good but not as great as everyone else's entree. desserts were so good, i got the cheese board and a couple of the s'mores fudges, and a couple of the fruity cake things and some chocolate chip cookies. all were super good. insanely expensive... but a great experience for sure. not sure if i would come back just because of the price, but maybe one day when i have the money to treat myself again! thanks jenny lake lodge! read more

While in Grand Teton National Park, we stopped here for lunch. Actually, we planned the trip such that we land up here during lunchtime! We started off with a bowl of Clam Chowder Soup and a side of fries. Their Pan-seared Trout was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The server was slow and confused. A nice dinning experience in a remote area. I have to say I was expecting this place to wow me given it's a 5 course meal for $94 per person. Also they mention that you need to wear a jacket or collared shirt. I would recommend you stick with colored shirt given you are in a National park and a formal jacket is waste of your car space. Also most of the people there had only a collared shirt and maybe three men (me included) had a jacket. I stared with the wagyu appetizers and it was my favorite out of the other four choices I had. The second dish was a soup and I went with the vegan onion soup at least that what it tasted (don't remember the actual name) it was good. The third dish was an average salad and I thought the portion was a bit small. For my main dish I went with the trout and I thought it was very average which is why I'm rating this place a 4 stars. It lacked richness in taste although was presented nicely. Finally I went with the huckleberry cake which was good. The service was amazing though. My wife really loved the duck as the fourth dish and thought it was amazing so you might want to choose that if you get the chance. Also she went with the crab for the first dish which was also good. Most patrons are staying at the lodge but they are open for individual reservations. Intimate setting in log cabin lodge with stunning view of the Tetons. Several nights per week they have a classical guitarist performing in the lobby where you can sit and enjoy with a pre-dinner drink. The 5 course prix-fixe dinner is the way to go. Here is what we enjoyed but it changes each night: Amouse Bouche - blueberry & almond Appetizer - Parsnip risotto Salad - Jenny Lake signature. Soup - Golden beet Entree - herb roasted rack of lamb Dessert - Grand Mariner compressed watermelon They basically have two seatings 6 - 6:30 then 7:30 - 8:00. The flow is perfect, the waitstaff works together to whisk away one course then bring another. Not rushed but timely with ample but not oversized portions giving you the desire for the complete meal. My family and I had lunch there in June. The food was delicious and the scenery outside the Lodge and view were amazing!

This was simply the best; Monte Carlo, Paris, New York SFran included. The service was articulate in presentation and personable.

We are now 40 mins after our reservation with four kids under 11 and still not seated. What's the point of making a reservation if they can't seat you? We could have gone out to dinner or gone somewhere else but this special dinner is included in our expensive reservation. Pathetic service at a premium cost. Our first night the food was good. Second night, worse than mediocre. Our reservation was for 7:45 we were seated around 8:30. The bread service was stale and dry and the pallet cleanser was almost inedible. The appetizers were ok. A member of our group ordered a sparkling wine and received a rose instead. There was only enough soup of the day for 2 people even though we ordered four. Query whether the 40 minute delay before we got seated contributed to the hard bread and lack of soup. The salads were mediocre. The bison short ribs entree was around a three out of ten. It was very fatty and not juicy at all. The polenta and Brussels sides were ok but the meat was dry. Our waiter described as a "falling of the bone" but it was a small 3 inch the patty with a dry bone one top. They clearly just threw a random bone on the plate. With respect to dessert the cookies were warm, but just okay. The ice cream was good. Update: dinner in our third night was good BUT they still ran 40 minutes behind. The wait staff was good. My husband and I had a fine dining lunch here while visiting Jenny Lake. The lodge is beautiful with oil paintings and white table linen. The service was excellent. I had the mushroom burger with mint & cucumber quinoa salad, and my husband had the bison burger with frites. While I enjoyed my burger, I think a sauce would add more to it. We sat just one table off the windows but didn't have a view at all which was disappointing as that's a big reason to eat there and I expected much better view. You have to order wisely as several options aren't great. The game was overcooked and pasta undercooked. Our server was obviously new and inexperienced, forgot our drinks and never gave us our bread. Our experience started off on the wrong foot given they never took our drink order while we waited, even though I made eye contact with the bartender going around the lounge and she waited on a couple who just got there. My wife and I were really looking forward to an exceptional evening of fine dining at Jenny Lake Lodge. What we got was just fine, but not Fine Dining. While the atmosphere is definitely charming and rustic, the dining experience overall was just mediocre. The service was relaxed (sometimes a bit too relaxed) and the food - a five course price fixe menu - was fair to good, but never rose to the level of delicious. I had the Chicken Satay as my appetizer - the chicken "chunks" were tender and moist but the sauce tasted like someone opened a can of Skippy Peanut Butter and poured it over the top. The Curry Soup was actually dreadful and tasted like someone just dumped some raw curry powder in a stock of coconut milk and chicken broth. The signature "Jenny Lake Salad" was a ring of two-day old assorted wilted lettuces ringed around a "Lake" of cloyingly sweet dressing. It was old and uninspiring. I selected the Duck Breast as my main course, and it is the first time in my dining career that I was not able to finish a piece of duck breast - it was so tough that I don't think a light saber could get through it - so I just gave up. The finale was the "Clump of Cheesecake" served with a berry sauce so sweet it would send a healthy person into a diabetic coma. To make matters worse (and yes, it could get worse), the wine list was uninspired and anemic. It was evidently curated by someone who seemed more interested in offering a small selection of wines that appealed to their own palate instead of finding wines that would thoughtfully pair with the menu - so we passed on ordering any wine with dinner (a very rare situation for us). All in all, we found the setting delightful but the dining experience challenging. If you're going for "Fine Dining" be aware that you will be fortunate if it is "Just Fine." read more

A Diamond in the Rough Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, Jenny Lake Lodge appeared like a warm culinary oasis in the wilderness. That's an elk shaped napkin holder, moose shaped butter, mixed berries with crème fraîche (yes!), and sparkling wine. Lemon cured smoked salmon, crispy shellfish Benedict, house corned buffalo hash, and browned butter pecan sticky bun. Thank you, Chef Clark Myers. We were out hiking and making pictures and stopped for breakfast. It's a set price of $30 but you can order anything. The menu is robust and the food and service was over the top fabulous. We had coffee, juice, eggs Benedict, French toast and DO NOT MISS their home made banana bread. The staff was exceptional. We talked a bit and were camping so when we were done she offered two pieces of banana bread for tomorrow AWESOME setting and fabulous breakfast worth every dollar. read more

Our server Sarah was outstanding. And the rustic fine dining atmosphere was nice. But I was only moderately impressed with the food. I liked the variety of the options, and presentation was nice, but the dishes had inconsistencies. My husband's pork cheek entree was tender and delicious. But it was served with a relatively bland foie gras bread pudding and half of a plum oddly on the side. Several dishes came with cilantro. Maybe this is just my pet peeve, but whenever a dish has a strong polarizing ingredient like that, I think it should be listed, especially if it's in a dish you wouldn't typically expect cilantro to appear in. (Meanwhile, they would list benign ingredients like parsley). Also found it a bit strange that they featured so many non local ingredients. Are they really known for octopus? The standout dish to me was the artichoke heart entree. Truly delicious. And the homemade focaccia bread was pretty good. Dessert portions were tiny. And while I appreciate not walking away stuffed, it could have been slightly more generous. read more

When we first arrived at the Lodge the setting of the area was very nice, music playing and a lit fireplace. After we were seated our opinions quickly changed. Our waiter came up to us and ineffectually explained the menu. He couldn't pronounce half of the things on the menu and misguided us when explaining what was in the meals. After we finally decided what to eat and began ordering, he said he forgot to tell us that this is a 5 course meal and you have to pick one item from each section. No where was this stated on the menu or in any descriptions, so this was obviously his mistake. We quickly decided while he was impatiently waiting in front of us. After one of our members ordered a beer, it took him two reminders about it before he finally got it, the second one he ordered never even came and when reminded at the very end of the meals had the audacity to ask if he would still like it when we were about to leave. Nor any of our other drinks were refilled or even offered to be refilled. Now onto the food, the starters and soup were good, small portions though is expected. My favorite part about the whole meal was the one signal drop of the chefs muse. My final entrée was the fish, this was far from tasteful and in my opinion was bland. I heard the other tables behind us also talk about how their final entrée was plain. Our table got the 'warm' cookies and ice cream for dessert, the cookies were slightly warmed and the ice cream portion was a single bite, until we looked over at the other tables who had somehow gotten a full cup of ice cream with their cookies (??). I am giving this restaurant one star mainly because of the service and price. When your waiter acts like he just walked into the door and started waiting on tables the experience becomes less enjoyable. If my meal is 400$ I expect the service to be of that standard as well. read more

I have stayed at Jenny Lake Lodge multiple times in the past and was delighted to learn there was a late seating to the general public while visiting. I was sad that the quality just was not there this time round. I watched the faces of other diners who also had some of the entrees we had ordered with the same response. The scallops smelled so bad that we exchanged them for another appetizer. Neither the server or his assistant had picked up the scallop plate. The smell was so strong you could not even enjoy your next two courses on the prix fixe menu until they were eventually bussed. That type of cuisine will not sustain the business given the clientele who seek out JLL. The desert however, was excellent, yet a $400 bill with wine and gratuity for two should come with a far better guest experience read more
