Of course, I called my Delta Insurance, and the Dentist office and ask why... and they said, "we took too many X-rays within a 12 month period... and you owe us $". This is a case of taking advantage of the dental insurance coverage a little too far, and when they start charging it out of your pocket, I would not recommend.

First with the office staff with their great directions as well as getting me in about a week before my original appointment. I had different people who did my x-rays versus who did the cleaning all of which did an excellent job and were all very friendly. Dr. Gentling was very kind and I was happy with my dental exam. Most of the staff have been there for a very long time many around 20 years. That says a lot about the dental office. I'm thrilled I found them. I just lucked out that I had gotten a coupon and therefore decided to give them a shot. I did call back a few days after the fact to inquire about what the cost would've been had I not had the coupon seeing as I do not have insurance and have to pay out-of-pocket. The cost was about $90 more than most of the other dental clinics. I have been to recently. I definitely like GentlingSmiles 1,000 times more than any of the other dental offices, but I'll have to decide if it's worth the $90 difference to return in six months. I assume most people have dental insurance and therefore wouldn't have this issue. But it was definitely a great experience! everything from the waiting room to the wonderful people who work here.

This office is very friendly and comfortable. A great place for dental care. They adhered to all the requirements for handling patients during the pandemic. I had no health concerns while in the office. This was my first dental office where I experienced getting a crown in a single one hour visit. My prior experience was needing to schedule two visits with prep for the crown in the first visit and installation of the crown a couple of weeks later. That has been a wonderful experience. I have been a patient of Dr. Shumaker's for 15 years or longer.

In long My lovely bride lost a filling a couple weeks ago, so we set her up with insurance that kicked in right away. *So* much nicer than medical coverage! Start in a day or two any time. Anyway, we poked around online and found PFD as a solid choice. Talking to them over the phone they were super friendly and cheerful, talking to them when we checked in they were super friendly and cheerful, and so on, and so on. Just the nicest people. We got her teeth cleaned and ready, then came back today to have her crown put on. It took 2.5 hours, but them's the breaks, I suppose. I went next door for bbq while I waited. No one likes the dentist, but they made this as pleasant and painless as they possibly could. Back to clean more quadrants (of her teeth) in the next few weeks.
