I got a little confused when looking up this place because Google says that they're only open Tuesdays and Saturdays, but on Yelp it says they're open every day besides Sunday and Monday? Regardless, I went on a Saturday later in the day and it looked kind of dead, but most of the baked goods were gone so I assume it was busier during the day. Almond cream bread: very moist and buttery! The qualm I have with other Korean based bakeries is that they seem to skimp on the butter, even in Viennoiserie-type breads. This one had amazing flavor and held up well in the fridge for three days, no need to reheat or anything! Egg tart: super crisp and flaky tart, with smooth custard filling. If I had a potluck coming up, this would be what I would bring because I'm sure it'd be a hit. I saw a note on the wall somewhere that egg tarts are available for preorder too! I do wish there was more variety, but I guess as long as they make their current pastries well I can't complain. read more

Jenny's Bakery is the best! I love coming here with my friends and family and introducing them to some great treats! My favorite thing to get here is their cream cheese garlic bread and twist donuts which arefantastic! I also love their iced drinks! Their iced lattes are super good and cooling. I really want to try out their bingsoo at some point. Inside is fairly small with just a few small tables for seating, but they are usually available. The staff here is also super friendly. Was nervous after seeing reviews that this bakery may have closed but it's still open! Their sign mentioned the owner was having some health difficulties but the bakery is still open Tuesday-Saturday per its posted hours. This is a really cute bakery with excellent pastries. The egg tart and melon bread were great quality, it looks like they have a rotating selection too, so you might see something new on a different day! I also tried the lavender matcha, it was really enjoyable and sweet. The lavender flavor was actually stronger than I expected, it didn't overpower the matcha but it's quite noticeable. It's a bit small inside but there are a couple tables if you wanted to stay a while (I didn't see any outlets on a quick look). read more

I came in to pick up some quick drinks and cookies to share with a friend for a quick lunch break and I got 2 cookies and 2 lattes for a total of $21. That is outlandish. I understand that prices are rising but that is ludicrous. The cookies were delicious, and the latte was good, but not at all well priced. Service was fine. The egg tart is the best. It's an authentic, Portuguese, flakey, buttery tart shell filled with sweet egg custard. After you take 3 bites and it's gone, you'll wish you took your time and smaller bites. So, get more than 1! read more

This was a wonderful bakery, but it appears to now be permanently closed. We've tried visiting four times based on their Google hours showing them open and no Instagram stories for the day saying that they're closed. We understand the owner has had health issues and it appears like she's no longer operating the store or keeping her hours updated and the store is now permanently closed. Five stars for the quality of the baked goods that were here, but two stars because basic communications to customers have been abysmal. I know it's tough when you have health issues, but when you run a business, you do need to find help to make sure you're communicating to the public what the status of your business even is. Otherwise, you're wasting people's time and gas money and they become frustrated and stop supporting you. (at a time when you really need it, too.) Wishing the owner our best for a full recovery. Hope to see another bakery like this open in Rochester sometime soon. read more

However, there hasn't been a fancier option until now - Jenny's Bakery. Jenny's Bakery offers some upscale pastries that feature both Asian and European flavors and baking techniques. Some items include: cream cheese garlic bread, red bean cream bread and potato ham & cheese bread and Earl Grey cranberry scones. The sweet and savory combinations of pastry are uniquely found in Asian bakeries. For example, their sausage bread includes a mix of sausage slices scattered along with sweet corn, onions and a sweet ketchup drizzle. They also offer wonderful drinks and have a full-service coffee bar. So far i've only tried their lavender latte, but it's so good that I don't want to try anything else yet. Anyways wonderful addition to Rochester and I hope they do well. PS. They do sell out quickly during the weekends, so you might want to drop in earlier on Saturday or check out their instagram for updates before you go. read more

Was in the area and decided to check out this bakery. I liked the cleanliness of the bakery and using the trays to pick up your individual treats. Picked up the earl grey pecan cranberry cookie, walnut chocolate chip cookie and the peanut butter bread. My son had the chocolate chip cookie and I tried the earl grey pecan cookie. He seemed to like his cookie. The cookie I tried was moist, and just the right amount of sweetness, though I couldn't really taste the earl grey. I liked the uniqueness of the different treats offered but I did find the cookie prices a bit steep for what it was. read more

I've visited twice already in the last 1.5 weeks, and I'm so happy to report that she has Korean baked good available. The egg tarts are especially delicious, and beware, if you buy 3 you might end of eating all of them. The coffee is beyond delicious and especially smooth. I look forward to going back and trying their breakfast/lunch items. Jenny and her staff are sweet, patient, and positive. The overall ambiance is clean and there is a neat bathroom available for customers. I stayed for about 2 hours to get work done, and it's that perfect level of background noise + the caffeine rush helped me through my mid day blues. read more

This gourmet bakery is located next to Delmonico's on White Spruce & East Henrietta Rd, plenty of parking and you can't miss the sign. I appreciate that this business still requires masks of customers & employees even though all of the food items are wrapped as COVID is endemic. I stopped by in between errands on this Saturday afternoon based on Yelp reviews, looking forward to some different pastries to bring home for afternoon tea. At 11am some items were already gone from the shelves but there was warm sausage bread, an almond pastry, and an earl grey cranberry cookie for me to bring home. I did not realize there were more pastries in the case next to the menu board, so I will look there first next time. I divided the pastries with my hubby and kids so we could all try them. They were all very fresh and we agreed next time I had to buy more so we didn't have to split anything. We also agreed that the sausage bread tasted like a fancy hot dog lol, in a good way. Jenny's is a hidden gem in Rochester. The baked goods are delicious and the egg tart is my favorite. I love the hazelnut latte so much I keep getting it. I was very excited when my bf told me about this Korean style bakery that just opened up! Having lived in California I always loved going to those bakeries where you can fill up your tray with delightful baked goods and I am so happy Rochester now has a mini version of that! The cafe is super hidden unfortunately but if you know you're looking for it google maps will bring you there. The inside is clean with a few tables and the shelves where the baked goods are laid out in a neat manner. I must say I'm hoping they expand their selection in the future. The person helping us was not very friendly looking but that's fine for what it is. We grabbed several items which included a cranberry walnut cookie, a pork floss bun and a beef sausage bread. We loved EVERYTHING! The cranberry walnut cookie was sooooo buttery and just ugh so good. It was packed with nuts and cranberry though weirdly I couldn't really taste the cranberry. I don't think either of us minded as the butter taste was great. The pork floss bun was delish! It reminds me of the asian flavors I've had in the past. The dehydrated pork was salty and the texture was not too mushy as the meat is dehydrated properly. The bun is light and slightly sweet. Loved it! The beef sausage bread was so surprisingly delicious! I thought the ketchup on top was so weird but the combo was unexpectedly great. It was sweet but also salty from the sausage. The onions (??) added great flavor, and it was not heavy. We will be back to Jenny's soon and see what else they have to offer! read more

This bakery is a small bakery & cafe. I'm very impressed how clean the cafe is. It is easy to find a parking spot in the parking lot. From my understanding that they have not put up the big sign for everyone to find this place as they just open the business. I hope for them to be able to put a big sign to make it easier for everyone to find it. I never knew about this bakery until my friend mentioned. I went and it took me a while to figure out which one it belongs to this bakery. When I went inside and saw fresh food wrapped in clear plastic bags. These food look so good and I bought some of them. My family and I tried and it was so good!! It's very light which I like very much!!! I've been back to Jenny's Bakery three times since my first review and have tried a few more pastries and some of their drinks. The flavored Sparkling Ades are refreshing (I tried mango) and not too sweet, and the iced vanilla latte is one of the best I've had in the area. You can still taste the espresso first, instead of an overly-sweetened drink you might get from a chain. Everything here is such great quality! read more

This bakery came out so strong with an amazing selection of asian breads and pastries, savory and sweet. Then the owner decided to completely switch up and sell American cookies last year, before consumer demand forced her back into selling the Asian pastries. Except now, the pastry selection is very small and there is an emphasis on a dessert waffle menu. Hopefully this shop can return to her former glory. Interesting bakery. Didn't realize it is considered a Korean bakery - most of the items seemed pretty traditional. I got a coffee bread, a couple of chocolate walnut cookies and a pork bun. I guess I should have considered it as an Asian bakery because of the pork bun... the pork filling is pretty traditional in Asian cooking. I used to dump cupfuls on fresh cooked white rice for "flavoring" in college. The buns were terrific. Perfectly moist and good flavor. Cookies were very good too. I opted out of cheesecake for 2 reasons. First, I like NY style dense and the waitress said this was more the fluffy kind and I was getting lunch at chopsticks right next door. Tons of little single serves goodies, coffee, tea, sparkling ade, a small bubble tea menu & some take home size loaves of bread. I had a potato, ham & a cheese pastry & a mango bubble tea. They heated up my pastry for me & made my bubble tea quickly. Bubble tea is made with powder but so are many others in the area & tasted delicious. Pastry even though it was heavy in weight was light, airy, delicious, a little kick & had some corn in it also. I will be back to try more! Great place to visit for unique flavors in sweet and savory baked goods. Staff were so friendly! I loved the buttery, melt in your mouth earl grey cranberry cookies with nuts. It was fragrant and substantial with high quality ingredients. I also got to try the beef sausage bread which was savory and sweet and reminded me of a small summer cookout on a plate. I found this gem of a spot while I had some time to kill between appointments. This is a lovely little Korean bakery that satisfied my craving for a latte and a pastry. The bakery is ultra clean and staff is very friendly. There was a good mix of offerings from cookies to donuts to both sweet and savory pastries. I opted for a peanut butter and strawberry bread (muffin) and an iced vanilla latte. The pastry was delicate and not overly sweet. The cream filling was nice and light and the strawberries were crisp and fresh. The latte was one of the best I've ever had -good coffee flavor with just enough vanilla. Unfortunately I'm not in the area often, but I will definitely be back again. Come to think of it- my dentist is in the same plaza, so now I have a real incentive not to miss any dental appointments! It's a very small bakery with couple table for sit in. There weren't much selection when I was there. Their Mango bingsu is very good with real mango snow and mango toppings. Rochester's FIRST and ONLY Korean bakery!!! I personally come here for the egg tarts and the matcha cream donut- it pairs so well with the coffee! The store fits 8 people to sit down and eat and it's super clean and has great lighting for pictures and just to sit down and relax. The bakery is right by Costco so you can stop by after grocery shopping and bulk buy once more..! Don't rely on my review though- definitely judge for yourselves..! read more
